Chapter 111: Chapter 111

Third POV.

“Grandpa sent us some video which he saved from watching the rogues practising as they prepare for the war,” Elana told him instead of answering the question she had been asked.

Hearing this, Josiah halted and looked at her with an amusing look.

“Does your grandmother know?” He asked as he knew that was against what they should do.

To him, it was like they had a leakage. Although it made his work easier, he felt a bit sad as he wouldn’t be able to prove himself in front of his master.

“Of course not! If she finds out we will all be in trouble!” Elana said in a serious tone as she shook her head.

“True but you guys should know that it won’t be hidden from her for too long. I am afraid that once she finds out she would be disappointed and might punish both of you and I don’t want that,” Josiah said care was evident in his eyes but Elana just rolled her eyes as she didn’t understand why he seemed to care so much about them.

“Disappointed? I am so much more disappointed in her than she will be with us! How can she make us guard her creations instead of allowing us to enjoy life as her grandchildren? Look at the mate she chose for Leila, does she really love us? Grandpa loves us more than she does and he isn’t supposed to because we aren’t blood related. If I were asked, I think she just sees us as evil and bloody destruction,” Elana said angrily, making Josiah speechless.

He did not dare speak as he knew that if the person talked about finds out about this and knows he said something, he might be inflicted and he didn’t want to be involved in their family drama.

“Also, do you think she will be mad at us or grandpa? He is the one that proposed the idea. We didn't request him to do it. See, he helps us cause he can’t let his granddaughters suffer or lose or be killed but her. She just cares about her creations. I just pity mom on having such a mother,” Elana added in sadness.

Josiah stared at her as he wondered what was wrong with her. He knew how Elana could be and always goes against their grandparents but she always respected and kept some things for herself unlike today.

“So you got me out of there cause you were told that I can help you?” he changed the topic wisely.

Elana nodded her head as she said, “yeah. Although it isn’t hard to learn the fight skills as we can implant it on every warrior’s mind, we have to come up with skills to fight their skills. If the rogues use those skills to attack us and we just have their skills, we will just kill defending ourselves. We need to defend and attack when the opponent doesn’t expect it.”

“Why can’t you guys come up with them on your own? Did you have to distract me from my meditation?” Josiah asked with a frown as what they wanted from him was something they could do on their own.

“Josiah, don’t forget that grandma said you should follow our orders! Also, it is ordered from grandpa. If you don’t want to just say so, I will just inform him before returning you to your cell. Or if you keep annoying me, don’t forget that traitors are supposed to be hanged to death. I can request the council and you will lose your life,” Elana said coldly and in a deep voice as she stared at him with a killing intent.

Josiah looked at her eyes as he was shocked. At first, they had always respected him although he was imprisoned but he didn’t expect her to have the guts to threaten her. More so, although he wanted to refute, he couldn’t because it would be like digging his own grave.

“So it's your choice,” Elana said with a wicked smile after seeing the emotions in his eyes and knowing that she had cornered her.

“My life is in your hands, my Lord. I am meant to serve you thus I will carry out your orders,” Josiah said as he bowed down, pleasing Elana.

Although it seemed like it was Elana talking, it was Elaine. After seeing that Leila had given Amaya full control, she knew that if she didn’t take actions and help her get what she wanted, a lot of people might end up dying as they didn’t have enough time.

The time was ticking and as each second passed, she became more anxious and wished she could just control everyone and do her bidding.

“Good,” Elana said as she nodded her head with a proud look.

She started walking leaving Josiah behind but he quickly caught up.

“As you said, we can do it but their alpha isn’t the one teaching them but my so called auntie and uncle. Because of these, we can’t come up with godly fighting techniques as we didn’t grow up there. I don’t know why grandpa told us to look for you but you have to help us,” Elana said without looking at the old man beside her.

Josiah frowned upon hearing that didn’t say anything.

‘When did they find out about those lunatics?’ That was something that was disturbing him.

He didn’t know whether it was a good thing that they had known or not. Now, he seemed to understand why Elana hated their grandmother to the core and couldn’t stop talking shit.

“If you can, can you please send what your grandfather sent to you so that I can have a look at it before we arrive?” he asked as he was curious what tactics the darkness used when fighting.

Seeing his curious look, Elana nodded her head before looking at Josiah deep in his eyes as he concentrated. After a few minutes, she had sent everything he needed.

The more Josiah watched, the more he frowned as he felt a chill in his spine as they were so cruel and always aimed to kill.

“Do you think that we can defend with their own tactics and attack with the lights’ tactics?”
