Chapter 7: Chapter 7

We walked past some guards who ran away when they saw me. I smirked. I love it when others run away from me. I went straight to the council's meeting ground. They were having a meeting when we got in. They stood up and bowed. "Where is she?"

The head of the council, Lord Raymond walked up to me. "My lord, which lady are you talking about?"

"The human"

"The human?"

"Raymond, don't taste my patient"

He sighed. "She's in the sacred room"

"Take me there"

"Yes, my lord". He led the way to the sacred room, with Gary trailing behind.

When we got to the sacred room, I opened the door with my powers and walked in. She was seated on the ground. She placed her head, in between her legs. "Elmira?"

She raised her head slowly. When she sighted me, she stood up. Her veil wasn't on her face. She picked up her veil and tie it. "Did you ask them to take me?" She asked

My eyes widen. Is she for real?. Even amid trouble she still has the gut to blame me. I decided to ignore her and turn to face lord Raymond. "Release her"

He bowed. "Yes, my lord"

She was asked to leave the sacred room. She walked towards me, glared at me, before walking away. I groaned. What sort of a pet is this?. "Gary, go after her and make sure she gets the herbs she needs"

"Yes, my lord"

"Lord Raymond, why was she taken in the first place?"

"We thought she was a spy. I'm so sorry for bringing you here"

I rolled my eyes. He didn't bring me here. My mom and Amaya did. "For no reason should she be prevented from coming into this place. Make sure you assign some guards to help her with the herbs she needs, whenever she comes here"

"Yes, my lord"

I walked out of the sacred room and went to where my car was parked. I had to wait in the car for a while. I sighted Gary running in my direction without Elmira. I stepped out of the car. "Where is Elmira?"

He panted. "She... She... She left"

"She left? To where?"

"To the vampire territory"

I groaned. Is there something wrong with that girl that I'm yet to know about?. "And you let her?"

He went on his knees quickly. "I couldn't hold her back. I'm so sorry"

I groaned. "You couldn't hold her back? Did you even hear yourself?"

"I... I... I'm so sorry my lord"

I hissed. Can I even blame Gary?. That girl's attitude is the strangest I've come across with. I think there's something wrong with that girl!!. Does she consider the fact that it's late and vampires will be out now?. I don't think she values her life. If she does, she wouldn't have been left alone. I rolled my eyes. She can die for all I care!!

But wait, my mom. She will be so angry if anything happens to her. What about Amaya?. I promised the girl I'll bring back her sister. I promised to keep her safe. I sighed. I have to look for her. I turned to Gary. "Let's go". We entered the car and I drove off in speed. I need to get close to her as soon as possible.

I have been driving in a circle for a while now, and haven't come in contact with her. I got frustrated and decided to drive back to the palace to see if she was there. I was just a few meters away from the vampires' territory when I noticed a figure running into the forest. It seems she was been pursued by some people. Right there, I knew it was Elmira. Her fragile body isn't difficult to know in the dark. I groaned. I knew this will happen.

I was already frustrated but I have no other option than to save her, not for her insolent attitude but because of her cute little sister who needs the herbs. I brought the car to a halt. "Gary, do not leave the car!!" I ordered. I opened the door and dashed out immediately.

Following her scent, I went deep into the forest. It took me a while to get to where she was. By the time I got closer, I could feel her fear and pain. "Help me" she cooed. I couldn't see her face, just the back of the two vampires trying to hurt her. I became so angry, that I must have lost control. Who dare hurt my pet?!!. Even though she likes to do her will, I still won't accept the fact that someone tries to hurt her.

I dashed towards them immediately and grabbed them both by the neck. I squeezed their neck with great strength and power. "How dare you hurt my pet? How dare you!!" I yelled

They trembled. "Damien, we are so sorry"

I held them tightly and turned in her direction. Watching her, I noticed her eyes were closed and she wasn't moving. I rolled my eyes and dropped them to the floor. They coughed. I bent to their level. "Have you drank from her?"

"N... No"

"The next time I see you close to her, I will not only end your life, but I'll also end your generation" I threatened.

They went on their knees. "We are sorry, Damien. Please spare us"

I groaned. "I don't spare people. But I'll this time, only on one condition"

They furrowed their brows. "On what condition?" One of them asked

"That I will spare only one of you. So look at yourselves and decide who will live and who will die". They stared at each other and then diverted their gaze to me. "You're wasting my time!!"

"Da... Damien, please spare us. We never knew she was your pet"

I scoffed. "I can see you ain't ready to pick. I will choose for you"

I raised my hand in an attempt to hurt them but I saw Elmira move. I rolled my eyes. She raised her head and I noticed she was bleeding from her forehead. I decided to free them and attend to her. "You are so lucky I'm in a good mood. Now go as far as you can and never return"

"Thank you, Damien"

I glared at them and they ran away. As I walked towards her, she opened her eyes. "M....."

"Shh. You're safe now. Go to sleep". I blew air on her face and she drifted back to sleep. I lifted her and walked back to the car to meet Gary. "Open the door". He did as he was told and I dropped her into the car. "Drive" I ordered
