She stood rooted to her spot not making any move. I stood up from the chair I was seated In and walked closer to her, sniffing her. How much I love to sniff her. I stopped behind her back and pushed her hair to the side. My hand trail behind her back and she trembled. I smirked. "Tell me, Elmira, where is your courage?"

I turned to face her and lift her face. She blinked her eyes rapidly and she tries to move backward. I bend and sniffed her. Why does her scent have this stronghold on me? Why do I feel so attracted to her? Holding her face firmly with my left hand, I trailed my right hand on her neck. My lips trembled as I tried to withhold myself from going further.

I lifted my face gradually, releasing my hands. I turned swiftly. I can't let her take control of me. "Now listen and listen carefully. You can't come anywhere closer to me or my surrounding. Make sure I don't smell you anywhere close. You're to remain in the maids' court until I sent for you"

I stood beside them. "Really?"

They turned in my direction and went down on their knees quickly. "My... My... Lord" they shuttered

I scoffed. "What were you discussing?"

"I hissed you'd better not lie to me"

I hissed. "Talking to you is a waste of time" I turned in the left direction. "Guards!!". Two guards rushed to me and bow. "I want them dead, now. Present their heads as prove"

"Yes my lord"

They kept pleading but I turned deaf ear to them. Their sin is punishable by death and there is no way I'm changing that!!.

Mom walked into my room with a gloomy face. I straightened up myself. "Mother, what's wrong?"

She sat beside me. "Damien, why did you kill those guards?"

I rolled my eyes. "They were disrespectful"

"What?. You killed me because they disrespected you?

I scoffed. "They said I was heartless. I only prove that to them"

She groaned. "And their heads?"

I relaxed on my bed. "I feed them to the dogs"

She stared at me. "Why are you...."

"Mom, can't you see today is a beautiful day?" I asked changing the topic

She groaned. "Are you trying to change the topic now, Damien?"

I blinked my eyes. "No, I'm just bored. I think you should go back to your room. I need to sleep"

"When do you start sleeping?"

I groaned. "You know I sleep once in two days. Please go"

"We ain't done talking!"

I groaned. "What do we have to talk about?"

"Your pet". I furrowed my brows. "Why did you stop your pet from coming closer to you?"

I groaned. "Did she tell you that?"

"No, I found out myself"

I groaned. "That isn't a big deal?. Or is it?"

"It is, Damien!!"

I tapped my fingers on the table. "I don't want her close to me, mother. I made that clear to her. I don't think there's anything wrong with that"

"Damien, when will you begin to take responsibility? Huh?"

I yawned slightly. This conversation is getting so boring. "Soon, mother"

She stood up. "She coming over"

I furrowed my brows. "Who?"

"Your pet"

"She shouldn't. If she does, I'll kill her" I yelled

She ignored me and walked out. I groaned. What's up with mom and this girl?. Why can't she understand I don't want to see the girl's face.

I sigh and stood up. Mom might be serious about her threat. I wore my shoe and went outside. I walked towards the maids' court. People scurried away when they sighted me. I rolled my eyes. I got to the maids' court and walked past it. This is my first time coming here and the reason why I came, isn't clear to me yet. I sniffed around. All the scent doesn't smell familiar. I sigh and turned to go back. I bumped into someone.

I groaned. Who the heck is that? I raised my head to Maya. "Amaya?"

She moved back quickly and went down on her knees. "I... I... I'm so sorry, my lord"

I sigh. "Amaya, get up"

She trembled. "Ple..... Plea... Please don't kill me"

I sigh. "Amaya, get up. I'm not going to kill you ok?"

She raised her brows. "Are you sure?"

I grunted. "Where are you going to? I thought you stay with my mother?"

"I can't find my sister. She promised to come, see me"

I stretched my hand to her and she furrowed her brows. "I'm only trying to help you up".

She tilted her head. "No, thanks"

I sighed. "I won't hurt you" she stared at me and I smiled. "Trust me". She sighed and held my hand. I raised her. "Go back to my mother's court and don't wander around next time"

She nodded. "Please, can you help get in touch with my sister?"

I smiled. I can't believe I just smiled. "I will find her and make sure she comes to you. Just promise you won't wander around next time"

She smiled back. "I promise"

"Now go"

She took a few steps and then stopped. She turned to face me and smiled. "You know my name but I don't yours"

I smiled. This girl has a way of making me smile. "Call me Damien"

She chuckled. "You're cute"

I stared at her and she chuckled. "What did you say?"

She chuckled. "Never mind", she said and ran off.

I blinked my eyes. This girl is so good at flirting with guys. I smiled and went back to my room. I sat down on the bed. "Gary!!"

The door opened and he rushed in. He went down on his knees and bowed. "Yes my lord"

"Have you seen my pet?"

"No, my lord"

I sigh. "Go in search of her and tell her to go see her sister in my mother's court"

"Yes my lord" he stood up and left

I stood up and went to my studio to sketch some drawings.

"Damien!, Damien!" Someone called. I opened my eyes

"Mom?"

"Get up"

I groaned and sat down. "Why do you always come to my room to disturb me?"

"Stand up and stop questioning me"

"I'm up already"

"You are not"

I stood up from the bed. "I'm up now?"

"Good. Get dressed. I want you to go to the werewolves territory with Elmira to get some herbs for her sister.

"You can call one of the guards to go with her"

"You're conversant with the werewolves' territory. You're going with her"

"I ain't going nowhere"

She glared at me. Her eyes turned red and I groaned. I hate to see that color of eyes. "You're going with her and that's finally," she said with finality in her tune

"Yes, mother". She looked at me for the last time and left my room. I sigh. I'll have to get ready and follow her. My mother won't take it likely with me, not with those eyes!!.
