The day was boring without Maya around. I had to leave my room and go meet Lord Raymond, so I could help him with little things. I kept checking the time. When the time clocked 2 pm, I jumped up. "Lord Raymond, I have to leave". He nodded. I left his place and entered my car to go pick Maya from school. I got to the school and stepped out of the car. As I walked past some people, they kept staring at me. I ignored them and went in search of Maya.

Someone jumped on me and I giggled. "Damien?"

"Hey" she chuckled. "You seem happy". She nodded. I smiled and dropped her down. "Tell me, how was school today?"

She smiled. "Hmm. It is nice. The students are friendly. I love the school".

I rolled my eyes. They have to be friendly. I'd given a strict warning to them. "I'm happy you love the school". She chuckled. "Let's go". She nodded and I held her hand. "Your bag"

She furrowed her brows and I laughed. "Give me your bag"

She chuckled. "No"

"Why?"

She rolled her eyes. "Cause, I'm not a baby"

I laughed. "You're a baby. Look at you"

She pouted her lips. "Can you and Elmira stop considering me as a baby?. I'm a big girl"

I chuckled. "You're my baby"

She smiled. "Really?"

I nodded. "Yeah"

She hugged me. "I agree to be your baby, only if you..." she smiled

I rolled my eyes. "Only if I agree to accept your sister back as my mate?'

She laughed. "Nooo"

I furrowed my brows. "Then what"

"I will whisper it to you". I rolled my eyes and bend down to her level. "If you kiss my sister"

My eyes widened. Did she just say that?. I rolled my eyes. "What..." She laughed and ran off before I could form my word. I groaned. This girl has grown wings. I followed her to the car. "Maya, those words you said earlier, did you mean them?". She chuckled and nodded. I groaned. "You're spoilt"

She rolled her eyes. "I just want the best for you!!"

I groaned. This girl is something else. I opened the door for her. "Get into the car"

She whined. "We ain't done talking!!"

I glared at her playfully. "Get into the car or I throw you in"

She chuckled and entered the car. I turned to the other side and entered the car and drove off.

"Ain't we going to pick Elmira?"

I rolled my eyes. "Nah"

"Why?"

I groaned. "She isn't closing now"

"When is the closing time?"

"3 pm. I guess"

She chuckled. "Why don't we go pick her up"

"It's just a few minutes past 2 pm, Maya. We can't"

"I think we can. I'm so hungry right now. I was thinking you could get me something from the cafeteria, and then we can drive back to her school"

I rolled my eyes. "I can't do that. I'm taking you home"

"But..."

"No, but Maya. I'm taking you home and that's final"

She sighed. "I guess Elmira is right, after all"

I furrowed my brows. "What did she say?"

"Nothing"

"Maya!"

"What?"

"Tell me what she said"

She hissed. "It isn't like you'll do it if I say it"

I rolled my eyes and stopped the car. I turned to face her. "Just spit it out"

She rolled her eyes. "I told Elmira we would come to pick her after school but she said you weren't going to come" she sighed and relaxed on the chair. "I guess she's right after all"

I furrowed my brows. "Elmira said that?". She nodded and I groaned. Is this girl trying to paint me as a bad person to her sister?. I hissed. If that's what she trying to do, then I'll prove her wrong. I start the car. "We will go prove her wrong"

She chuckled. "That's the spirit, Damien"

I rolled my eyes and drove off.

I halted the car in front of the school. I had to get Maya something to eat, before coming here. We sat in the car, why Maya munched on her fries and milkshakes. I put on the music to keep the car lively. I pushed back the seat and lay down to rest, eyes closed. Maya gasped. "Is that Elmira coming out of the school with a guy?". I flaunted my eyes open. Did she just say, a guy?. "He's so cute". I rolled my eyes and sat up. I looked through the window. Maya was right. Elmira was walking in our direction with a guy. And she was laughing. I groaned. I've never seen her smiled not to talk about laughing this much. Maya turned to look at me. She chuckled. "Oh, Damien, ain't they cute together?". I glared at her and she chuckled. "Sorry" she cooed. I hissed. I can't believe she is already flirting around on her first day here. I punched the stirring wheel in anger and Maya flinched. "Easy". I rolled my eyes. I don't know why my anger is building up right now. I clenched my fist. Watching her laugh at everything he says gets me unnecessarily annoyed. I will have to leave this place before I lose full control of myself. I started the car. "Where are we going?" Maya asked

I hissed. "Home"

"You mean you're leaving?". I ignored her and moved the car a bit. "Ain't you going there to claim what's yours"

I hissed. "She isn't mine, ok?. I rejected her"

"And who says you can't claim her back?"

"I don't want her. He can have her for all I care!!" I yelled

"Why aren't are you admitting it? Huh?"

I rolled my eyes. "Admit what?"

"That you love her. That you want her"

I laughed. Is this girl for real?. "I don't love your sister"

She scoffed. "You ain't acting like you don't. Cause if you don't like you claim, you won't be angry seeing her with another guy". I batted my lashes trying to suppress my anger. This girl has got guts!!. I tightened my fist on the stirring wheel. "If you don't love her like you..."

"Shut up!!" I yelled

"You don't shut me up, ok". I turned swiftly to look at her. She trembled. I guess the color of my eyes is terrifying. "Don't hurt me". I rolled my eyes and tried to touch her. "Please, don't hurt me". Tears were dripping down her face already and I felt so bad about it. I've been so afraid a day will come and Maya will see the true me. She will see the beast I've become. I knew a day will come but I never knew it will be this soon.

"Maya, I won't hurt you. Just calm down ok"

She shook her head. "Yo... You... You will. Your eyes have said it all" she was trembling so vigorously and I wanted to bring her close to me and tell her I won't hurt her but she wouldn't let me.

"Maya.."

She opened the door and dashed out before I could stop her. I punched the stirring wheel. It hurt so much to see someone who loves you get scared of you. I opened the door and stepped out. Elmira was holding her. I walked closer to them. The guy Elmira was talking to tried to stop me but when he saw my eyes, he ran away. People around gasped. Some ran away while others moved backward. "He's a hybrid Alpha. Look at his eyes. He's evil. He's going to kill us all"

I stopped walking and turned in the direction of those whom had spoken. Did he just call me evil? Huh?. I dragged him out of the crowd without going close to him. People closed by ran away. "What did you say?"

"I... I..."

I tightened my grip on his neck and he gasped for air. "Damien, stop" Maya cried. I stared at her. I wish I could but I can't even control myself. She tried to come close but Elmira stopped her.

"I'll go instead"

"No, he's going to hurt you" Maya cried

Elmira smiled. "No. He's power doesn't work on me". She walked closer to me. Is this girl trying to get herself killed?. People kept screaming at her to stay away but she was adamant. Maya was crying. Her tears kinda soften my heart. I dropped down the person I was holding. I was getting myself back but someone got me angry again. I turned to hurt the person but Elmira closed up space between us. I watched her fall to the ground and Maya screamed. My anger died down instantly and I rushed towards her.

"Elmira!!!"
