Chapter 153: Chapter 153

WONHEE suddenly missed Yool.

The two of them had been so busy for the past week that they hadn’t seen each other in person yet.

[We talked a lot on the phone, though.]

That was why she knew that Yool was currently filming a music video with their idol Maru the Man.

[I should send them a food truck later]

"Wonhee-ssi, please turn this way."

[I’m in the middle of a photoshoot.]

Wonhee’s hair was dyed black for this photoshoot to match the theme.

She was in a studio, standing in front of a red velvet curtain while posing for the camera in her stunning strapless little black dress. Her simple yet elegant dress, along with the red cross-strap pointed-toe stiletto heels, was from Diana– the French luxury fashion house where she was the Global Ambassador.

The photoshoot was for Delicate Korea– one of the leading fashion magazines in the country.

Wonhee collaborated with Delicate Korea for her Cassandra campaign.

[Cassandra is a French luxury goods brand that designs and manufactures high-end watches and jewelry.]

Hence, she was adorned with different accessories from the brand.

Her neck was decorated with a thick ruby and diamond necklace. It came with a matching bracelet and a pair of earrings, of course. The watch she wore around her left wrist was studded with rubies and diamonds, too.

But the most expensive piece of jewelry she had on at the moment was the ruby ring on her finger.

[It’s kind of heavy, too.]

Even so, Wonhee still posed for the camera with ease.

Of course, she made sure that the camera would capture the pieces of jewelry she wore.

Hence, she kept touching her face, neck, and hair.

"You’re doing great, Wonhee-ssi!" the photographer cheered her on. "So pretty." The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the novel⦿fire.net

"Stop hitting on Wonhee and just do your freaking job."

Wonhee could feel the entire studio literally getting cold.

The staff and everyone involved in the shoot visibly flinched and trembled– not only because of the sudden drop in temperature but also because of fear.

[I told him to watch quietly...]

Yejun, clad in all-black, looked intimidating even though he wore a cap and a face mask to cover his hair and face. It couldn’t be helped since he was the tallest person in the room– he was still noticeable even though he was standing in the corner of the studio.

Moreover, despite suppressing his aura, the pressure oozing out of Yejun was still heavy.

[Enough to scare the living daylights out of every Civilian in the room.]

"Yejun-ah, that wasn’t very nice of you," Wonhee scolded Yejun in a light and gentle tone. "Our photographer wasn’t hitting on me. Did he say something wrong? Am I not pretty?"

"You’re pretty, Wonhee-ya," Yejun said without missing a heartbeat. "I understand now. The photographer was merely stating a fact."

"Right? So, who was in the wrong here?"

"I was wrong," Yejun said obediently, and then he turned to the photographer. His tone and expression both suddenly turned cold, and his back remained straight. "My bad."

It was obviously a half-hearted apology.

Even so, the photographer and the entire crew who heard Yejun’s apology already looked like they had witnessed a miracle.

[The Big 4 isn’t big on apology, after all.]

"I-It’s alright, Hwang Frost-nim..."

[It looks like the photographer will faint anytime soon...]

"Director, is it okay if we take a break?" Wonhee asked the director of the shoot politely. Fortunately, she saw Billie (her manager unnie) return and give her a thumbs up. That only meant one thing. "The catering service I booked is here. Food and drinks are on me. I also requested the restaurant to add some Sea Monster dishes to the menu. I hope you find them to your liking."

The entire crew seemed to have momentarily forgotten about Yejun’s scary aura as they cheered while thanking her.

She was glad that she booked a catering service for today’s photoshoot.

[It’s been a while since I had a photoshoot, so it’s only right that I treat the staff.]

Wonhee smiled while saying "You’re welcome" to everyone thanking her.

[It’s always nice to see other people happy.]

"Our Wonhee is always generous," Yejun said while removing his suit jacket, and then he draped it over her shoulders. "I’m sorry for accidentally making the room cold. Do you want me to hug you to keep you warm?" He then leaned down and whispered in her ear. "My body is warmer than my jacket."

"I can sense your ulterior motive, Mr. Hwang," Wonhee said, playfully pinching Yejun’s ear. "Let me teach you some good manners first before we eat."

"YOU’RE SO busy these days, Wonhee-ya."

"Isn’t it good that I’m booked and busy?" Wonhee asked while reading the script in the car. "I’ve taken too many breaks already, Yejun-ah. I don’t want to inconvenience the people I’m working with further, so I want to finish the projects I postponed as soon as possible. Most brands I work with are global brands, that’s why I feel bad for the people who had to extend their stay here in Korea because of me."

"You’re the first S-Class Guide in the world, Wonhee-ya," Yejun reminded her while sitting next to her in the backseat and braiding her hair. "Those brands you speak of, no matter how snobbish they are, would wait for you even if it takes forever just for you to endorse their products. The moment you awakened as an S-Class, you stopped being a mere endorser or model– you’ve already become a symbol of world peace. That’s what it means to be a naturally awakened S-Class, and the brands know how to exploit that."

She turned to Yejun curiously. "Wasn’t that the same for you and the Big 4? During your rookie days, I remember seeing your faces everywhere I looked. The only products you and Graham-ssi didn’t endorse at that time were soju and other alcoholic beverages."

"How did you know that? Were you my fan back then?"

"Everyone in the country was the Big 4’s fans before you all went insane," Wonhee said jokingly. "But then, all of a sudden, you stopped doing commercial films, Yejun-ah."

"Ah, well, raiding dungeons alone was more lucrative than endorsing stuff."

"Of course, illegal activities bring more money because you don’t pay the right taxes for the stuff you smuggle."

Yejun laughed out loud. "I promise to pay proper taxes from now on."

"I have a question, Wonhee-ya."

"What do you think about the names ’Won-jun’ and ’Ye-hee?’"

Wonhee turned to Yejun and looked at him suspiciously. "What’s that? Our ship name?"

It wouldn’t be strange if it were.

[Famous Hunter and Guide pairs have ship names, like ’SeoDa.’]

But Yejun answered the way Wonhee didn’t expect him to.

"It’s ’Won-jun’ if it’s a boy and ’Ye-hee’ if it’s a girl."

"If we have more children later, then we can name them ’Hee-jun’ if it’s another boy and ’Ye-won’ if it’s another girl," Yejun added with a straight face. "Wonhee-ya, I feel like it’s our responsibility to save Korea’s declining birth rate."

Ahyeon, who was driving the car, cleared his throat a little too loudly.

The poor baby must have been shocked by Yejun’s shameless declaration.

"Yejun-ah, that’s not how you get the girl," Wonhee said, sighing while shaking her head before she went back to reading the script. "Try harder next time, okay?"

To be honest, she knew that Yejun had romantic feelings for her.

But sometimes she thought he was taking everything too lightly.

[I can’t tell if he’s serious or not. Having children is something a couple should talk about seriously and not something you bring up out of the blue, after all.]

Yejun’s shoulder slouched as he let out a sigh. "Okay..."

"ISN’T this the Royal Guild?" Yejun asked nervously while looking around the modern and stylish building. "Are you here to meet your grandfather, Wonhee-ya?"

After all, the Royal Guild belonged to A-Class Hunter Yeon Suk-yong.

[The former South Korean President, who is also Wonhee and Soobin Hyung’s grandfather.]

"Grandpa wanted to have dinner with us," Wonhee said when they were in the elevator headed to the top floor where Yeon Suk-yong’s private office was located. "Sorry, Yejun-ah. I forgot to tell you in advance."

"It’s alright," Yejun said, shrugging. Wonhee was so busy the entire day that it wasn’t a surprise that it slipped her mind. And most of all... "I’ll go wherever you take me anyway, Wonhee-ya."

She just rolled her eyes at him.

[Is it just me or Wonhee thinks I’m not serious when I’m hitting on her?]

Yejun was thinking hard about how to make Wonhee take him seriously when he stopped in his tracks after seeing that Yeon Suk-yong wasn’t alone in his office. "What are you doing here?" he asked in a surprised yet polite tone. "Eomma? Abeoji?"

Kim Bora and Yejun’s annoying cousins were there, too!

In short, the elite team of the Winter Guild was finally complete.
