Chapter 125: Chapter 125
A few weeks after Yejun awakened as an S-Class Hunter, right after he had just finished clearing a dungeon with his fellow Big 4 members, the System sent him to Nepal.
To be precise, it dropped him off at the foot of the mountain.
And then the System told him to climb Mount Everest.
Without any supplies.
Well, he had food and water in his Inventory.
But the System still sent him to Mount Everest in just his old P.E uniform without anything else to help him climb the tallest mountain in the world (above sea level).
During that time, he didn’t have the skill yet.
Hence, he was forced to climb Mount Everest with his bare hands.
Fortunately, as a naturally awakened S-Class Hunter, he was a hundred times stronger than a normal person. Moreover, since he had the ability to control ice and water, the cold didn’t bother him.
But it was still hell, of course.
It took Yejun a whole month to reach the summit.
And it took that long for a Hunter like him because the System would purposely release monsters in the mountain as a part of his training.
So, he was fighting monsters while climbing Mount Everest.
It was worth it, though.
The name itself was explanatory.
The name was unnecessarily long and quite funny, but it was a useful skill.
It allowed Yenju to create "shaved ice" that was safe for human consumption, and it could also relieve fatigue with similar effects to a health potion.
At the same time, that skill also allowed him to create weapons from his ice.
Yeah, the name of the skill was so ridiculous that Yejun couldn’t even find it funny.
But it ended up being the skill that put his name in the World Ranking.
Yejun’s trains of thought stopped when his Status Window popped up.
[Restrictions Lifted!
Skill Retrieved: Heavyweight Champion!
Congratulations, Hunter Hwang Yejun! As a reward for your increased intimacy with Guide Chu Wonhee, the System has upgraded your most efficient skill back to its original level!]
This was a secret, but all of Yejun’s skills were L-Grade.
But when he was demoted to being an X-Class Hunter, all his skills were also downgraded from L-Grade to SS-Grade. It was still pretty high for a Hunter, but not enough as a member of the Big 4.
Yeah, he had really hit rock bottom.
Yejun smiled after throwing the last punch that completely broke the giant white tortoise’s shell into hundreds of pieces. "Chu Wonhee is my lucky charm."
The debris from the broken pieces of the monster’s shell was huge and pointed.
But he didn’t care because he knew Do Ahyeon’s barrier could withstand it.
[That’s my son for you.]
"Hey, System. Connect my Status Window to the baby herbivore’s," Yejun said while flying. "I need to warn him to brace himself for the impact."
He stopped above the exposed back of the giant white tortoise.
As expected, the entire back was covered with another shell. It was smaller than the cone-shaped outer shell because this one looked like a normal shell, but it looked sturdier.
But not sturdy enough to withstand double the monster’s weight.
Yejun’s body started to feel heavy, but he didn’t mind because it was a part of his skill– the skill that allowed him to be twice as heavy as the person or thing that he punched a few times.
And the maximum weight limit that he could apply to himself?
[The weight of Mount Everest– which is roughly estimated at around 357 trillion pounds. Of course, that amount of mass would probably kill me, so I have no intention of using the maximum limit.]
He wasn’t sure because the heaviest he had turned his body mass into was around 80 million pounds.
The reason the skill was L-Grade was because using it didn’t put a strain on his body.
[Except that I lose my Mana and it takes time to recover.]
But it wasn’t a problem now that Yejun had Wonhee.
Yejun plummeted like a meteorite, completely crushing the giant white tortoise with his weight which was now twice as heavy as the monster’s.
[GUIDE CHU Wonhee, do you believe Hunter Do Ahyeon deserves to be an S-Class Hunter?
Wonhee was about to raise her hand to press the button, but Semi suddenly grabbed her hand and whispered in her ear.
"Hee-ya, just answer the System in your mind," Semi whispered. "You have an administrator, so it will work."
Right, she had Tannie.
[Who’s been MIA these days.]
Only then did Wonhee realize that Semi, Soobin, Geon, and her Grandpa Suk-yong all surrounded her as if they were hiding her from everyone.
"There are too many eyes lingering on my baby sister," Soobin whispered. He was smiling, but he was obviously annoyed. "Should I gouge their eyes out?"
Wonhee let out a soft gasp, a bit scared.
"Stop it. You’re scaring our Hee-ya," Geon scolded Soobin, and then he turned to Wonhee with a soft look on his face. "Hee-ya, go and answer the System. We’re here to protect you."
"That’s right," Grandpa Suk-yong said. "Don’t be afraid, sweetie."
Wonhee nodded politely. "Thank you, everyone."
And then she tried to use telepathy.
[Tannie, can you hear me? I’d like to press the button to answer the System’s question. Can you do that for me?]
[Sorry for the late reply! I just logged in, Chu Wonhee! But yes, I’ll do that for you!]
It seemed like Tannie did his task quickly because the Status Window replied.
[Thank you for your cooperation, Guide Chu Wonhee. The System will now adjust Hunter Do Ahyeon’s level and skills.]
"Brace yourselves, everyone," Song Moonho said sternly. "The impact will be tremendous."
"That Ice Demon is really a demon," Graham grumbled. "He finished it in ten minutes instead of fifteen."
Wonhee looked up and saw Yejun plummeting at a frightening speed...
... and then her Status Window blocked her view.
[Name: Hunter Do Ahyeon
Guide Chu Wonhee, you are now responsible for Hunter Do Ahyeon’s growth.]
Wonhee let out a soft gasp.
[Did Ahyeonnie really become my son now?]
IT WAS as if a meteorite had hit the ground.
The only difference was it was Yejun (and the giant white tortoise) that hit the barrier.
Wonhee closed her eyes and covered her ears with her hands when it happened.
The ground shook really hard and the crashing sound made a deafening sound.
Wonhee thought she was going to lose her balance and would be sent flying because of the earthquake. But she stayed in her place, thanks to her family members who hugged and protected her from the impact.
Hence, she remained standing on two feet.
She honestly thought the barrier would break like how meteorites would create craters upon impact.
But when Wonhee opened her eyes...
She couldn’t help but gasp when she saw the long cracks all over the barrier. It reminded her of the time that she dropped her phone and the screen became unrecognizable because of the cracks and scratches.
In short, it was a miracle that Ahyeon’s barrier didn’t collapse.
[Is this the power of a newly promoted Hunter?]
Wonhee was about to congratulate Ahyeon, but she froze when she saw that Ahyeon was about to faint.
Ahyeon was so pale and his arms were trembling so much.
The X-Class Hunter appeared behind Ahyeon, patting his back gently.
"You can relax now, baby herbivore," Yejun said casually. "The monster is dead, and I got it trapped inside my ."
Ahyeon didn’t say anything, but it seemed like he relaxed upon hearing those words.
The poor boy fainted.
Yejun didn’t move to catch Ahyeon, though.
In fact, Yejun disappeared.
It was Graham who caught Ahyeon.
"I got him," Graham announced while draping Ahyeon over his shoulder like a sack of rice. "But you’re on your own, everyone."
Graham said that because a few moments after Ahyeon fainted, the barrier collapsed.
It was like a huge mirror shattering out of nowhere.
The broken pieces were big and sharp, but Wonhee didn’t have to worry about getting hurt.
Yejun, before her family members could even protect her, was already beside her.
The two of them were trapped inside his , so she bet they looked like little dolls that served as decorations inside a snow globe.
Wonhee looked around and was relieved to see that everyone had some sort of protection.
Semi, Soobin, and Grandpa Suk-yong quickly dispersed to protect the Special Forces (Cracks Division) Agents because those people were Civilians.
Graham used a barrier to protect Yool, Geon, and the unconscious Ahyeon.
Song Moonho just remained standing there while looking up at the dead giant white tortoise trapped inside the gigantic .
President Kwon Jiwoong and the other people from APA were all safe, too.
Including Lee Seodam and Park Ruda.
"Wonhee-ya, are you alright?"
"I’m fine," Wonhee said, looking up at Yejun. "Why didn’t you catch Ahyeon? I thought he was your son now."
"Because I know that the barrier would collapse, so I had to hurry to your side. If I was a second late, your family would have pushed me away from you," Yejun said, and then he paused. "And the others were there. I knew someone else would catch him."
"Wonhee-ya, you’re my priority. Plus, an S-Class Hunter like Do Ahyeon wouldn’t get hurt even if they hit the pavement after fainting."
"You already know that Ahyeon’s status level has changed? Is that why you suddenly claimed him as your "son?""
"Nah, I’m just glad to meet someone who has the skill to rival my ."

Wonhee cupped Yejun’s face between her hands. "You need to sleep. Tannie told me you used the every single day you were trapped in the dungeon as a replacement for your required daily eight hours of sleep. You should sleep as soon as we get home."
"I want a kiss, Wonhee-ya."
"Don’t you notice something different in my eyes?"
Yejun’s eyes had turned dark orange.
[The Static must be ringing in his head again.]
As his Guide, it was her duty to soothe him down.
"Semi Noona is feeding the baby herbivore some potion, Soobin Hyung is helping Captain Lee, Geon Hyung is talking to Song Moonho, and Master is talking to Kwon Jiwoong," Yejun said cheekily. "And no one is looking at us."
Wonhee sighed, but she gently pulled down Yejun’s face to hers. "No tongue, okay?"
