Chapter 104: Chapter 104
"YOU ACTUALLY brought the culprit to my apartment?" Yool asked Song Moonho, slightly confused, while the two of them were standing in front of the door of his apartment. Yes, the one next to Graham’s apartment. "But why here?"
"I can’t use my properties since there are strange people keeping an eye on my movements at the moment," Song Moonho explained. "And you wouldn’t want me to hand them over to the police, right?"
The ahjussi made the right call.
"Wait here for a moment," Song Moonho said. "I’ll cover the entire place with a barrier first. It might be too much for a Civilian like you, so stay here with Shun."
The ’Shun’ that Song Moonho mentioned was Meguro Shun– the Autumn Guild’s A-Class Guide.
[That kid has been glaring at me since he arrived.]
And, after that, Song Moonho entered the apartment and closed the door.
"Hey, Gong Yool-san."
[Right, he’s Japanese.]
Meguro Shun raised an eyebrow at him. "What’s your relationship with Moonho-san?"
"My relationship with Ahjussi is none of your business."
"You heard me," Yool said bluntly. "I’m not obligated to share my relationship with Song Moonho with you."
Meguro Shun’s face turned red as if he was embarrassed. "You can’t fool me. Moonho-san won’t pay this much attention to you for nothing."
"Do you think that lowly of your Guildmaster? Ah, Ahjussi would be sad if he heard that."
"N-No... I didn’t mean it like that."
[Meguro Shun is so easy to manipulate. He’s older than Gong Yool, but he’s childish.]
"If you don’t have romantic feelings for Moonho-san, then stop flirting with him."
"Ahjussi is the one flirting with him and not the other way around."
"Why would Moonho-san flirt with a Civilian like you?"
Ah, the Awakened People really couldn’t beat their god complex allegations, huh?
"Meguro Shun, are you in love with Song Moonho?"
"Yes, I am," Meguro Shun said bluntly, his eyes darkened as if he was trying to intimidate Yool. "So I want you to stay away from Song Moonho if you don’t have feelings for him anyway."
"You should tell that to your Guildmaster since he’s the one sticking to me like glue," Yool said, scoffing. "And you know what? Even if I disappear from this world, Song Moonho will still not magically fall for you. I never understood why the villainess and villains in romance novels don’t get it."
"You sure do act like one, though," Yool said bluntly. "And don’t bother me again. I could date Song Moonho just to get back at you, you know? I’m petty like that."
Meguro Shun could only glare at Yool.
And the A-Class Guide didn’t get the chance to talk back since Song Moonho had come out of the apartment.
"You may come in now, Yool-ssi."
"Okay," Yool said, walking past Song Moonho. "Can you at least tell me the identity of the thief so I can prepare my heart?"
Song Moonho, who stood behind Yool, whispered in his ear. "According to our investigation, the thief was your top former fansite master when you were still active as an idol."
Help Guide Ahn Kisoo regain his Guiding abilities!
Penalty: The System will deactivate your Guiding abilities for a month!
Reward: Being one step closer to meeting your future !]
Wonhee thought it was risky because of the penalty.
[I can’t lose my Guiding abilities because Yejun is still inside the dungeon.]
It was as if the System could sense her hesitation, hence it sent another message.
[Chu Wonhee, Ahn Kisoo, and the will change the world soon for the Guides all over the globe! You must help out each other!]
It sounded like the three of them were the "Chosen Ones" or something.
[Do you accept the mission?
[I guess I have no other choice.]
Wonhee pressed the button.
[Thank you for your wonderful choice, Guide Chu Wonhee!
For the small price of ten A-Grade potions crafted by the God Alchemist, fifty gold bars, and one piece of an S-Grade fire-resistant equipment, the System will give you the recipe you need to fix Guide Ahn Kisoo’s Status Abnormality!]
"I have gold bars," Wonhee said, relieved that she had the requirements needed. "Do any gold bars work?"
[Unfortunately, no! Only gold bars from the dungeons work!]
"Oh," Wonhee said, her shoulders slouching. "I don’t have gold bars from the dungeon..." ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ novel[f]ire.net
"Hee-ya, is the System asking you for gold bars?" Semi asked worriedly. "Why?"
Wonhee had been so absorbed by the System’s sudden appearance that she forgot she had an audience.
Graham and Ahn Kisoo.
Everyone was obviously curious about the conversation she just had with the System.
"The System gave me a mission," Wonhee said. She could trust everyone at her penthouse at the moment. "The System asked me to fix Ahn Kisoo’s Status Abnormality."
Of course, everyone was shocked.
"’Status Abnormality?’" Ahn Kisoo asked, obviously hopeful. "Are you saying that I didn’t lose my Guiding abilities? That it just fell into an abnormal status? I can’t access my Status Window ever since I was hit by that strange bullet, so I wouldn’t know."
The System was unfair.
[Why did it take its time to inform me that I can help Ahn Kisoo-ssi?]
Again, it was as if the System heard her thoughts.
[We’re very sorry, Chu Wonhee! We had to wait for you to unlock your first! Thanks to Hwang Yejun’s recent affection boost, your Mana Tank was filled with the required energy you need to unlock a new skill!]
Yejun’s recent affection boost?
[Right. I don’t check Yejun’s affection meter...]
"I just met the requirement to unlock the skill that allows me to help Kisoo-ssi, so this is also the first time I’ve heard about your Status Abnormality from the System," Wonhee explained. "The System said it will give me the recipe to fix Kihoo-ssi’s Status Abnormality, but it’s asking me for ten A-Grade potions crafted by Semi Unnie, fifty gold bars from the dungeon, and a piece of a fire resistant S-Grade equipment."
Semi scoffed. "What an expensive trade. I’ll give you ten of A-Grade potions that I made."
"It’s alright, Unnie. I have the potions you gave me."
"No, that’s for your own use. Keep them for yourself."
"Please allow the Summer Guild to provide the payment that the System is asking for," Graham said in a serious voice. "I have several A-Grade potions that I bought from Semi Noona before. Will any kind of potion work?"
Wonhee nodded. "The System didn’t specify what kind of potion we need to provide. Since it’s not reacting, I suppose it doesn’t matter as long as they are A-Grade potions that Semi Unnie crafted herself."
"I have fifty gold bars from a dungeon," Graham said. "Then all we need is a piece of fire-resistant S-Grade equipment, right?"
"Do you have another piece of fire-resistant S-Grade equipment aside from the shawl that I received from your guild, Graham-ssi?"
"No, that’s the only one we have," Graham said while shaking his head. "But I will check the Black Market to buy one. It will take long to buy a rare item legally because of all the unnecessary procedures that APA requires."
"But the prices for rare items in the Black Market are astronomical," Geon commented. "Are you sure you want to buy there, Graham-ssi?"
"As long as it’s for Kisoo, I don’t care even if I go bankrupt."
[This is why Graham and Ahn Kisoo are the main couple in a BL novel.]
"Why don’t we just use the shawl that you gave me?" Wonhee asked, surprising everyone. "I was planning to return it to Kisoo-ssi anyway."
"You don’t have to do that, Wonhee-ssi," Ahn Kisoo said while shaking his head. "It’s already yours."
"It’s alright, Kisoo-ssi. I don’t like how Yejun got it for me," Wonhee said, opening her arms. The soft and beautiful shawl materialized after she pulled it out of her Inventory. "Here you go."
Graham stood up with his arms opened wide. "I wanna give you a hug, Chu Wonhee."
Semi pushed Graham back on the sofa. "Don’t touch my baby sister, Graham-ah. Just take out the potions and the gold bars we need."
Graham pouted, but he nodded politely towards Semi. "Okay, Noona."
"Wonhee-ssi," Ahn Kisoo, who was obviously touched, stood up and approached Wonhee. "Thank you so much."
"It’s nothing, Kisoo-ssi," Wonhee said shyly. "I’m just happy to help."
WONHEE was amazed when the ten bottles of A-Grade potions, the fifty gold bars, and the shawl on the table all disappeared in just the blink of an eye.
And then her Status Window popped up in front of her.
[Thank you for the payment!
Here are the ingredients you need to make the potion you need to fix Ahn Kisoo’s abnormal status:
1. Twelve hearts of an adult Octocagon.
2. Three S-Grade potions crafted by the God Alchemist.
3. Hunter Han Graham’s red flame.
4. One hundred gold coins.
5. Guide Chu Wonhee’s energy.
Once the ingredients are completed, the System will send you the recipe!]
Wonhee tilted her head to one side. "All the ingredients are doable except for one, I think. What is an Octocagon?"
"It’s a Sea Monster that can be found in water-type Cracks," Graham explained. "It’s ten times bigger than an adult octopus, and it has twelve legs instead of eight. Each leg has a heart. The Culinary Hunters hunt Octocagons and make rare dishes with their hearts. But since Octocagons are rare, they’re very expensive. I believe one leg costs at least one hundred million won."
"It’s one of the ingredients we need," Wonhee said. "Where do we find one? Do we need to enter a dungeon or something?"
Surprisingly, everyone answered Wonhee at the same time.
"Hamin probably has it."
"Hamin?" Wonhee asked, tilting her head to one side. "The Fall Guild’s Guildmaster?"
"My b-boss," Ahyeon said, his face beaming with pride. "Our Guildmaster collects rare Sea Monsters...!"
"I HAVE the last Octocagon in my Aquarium."
Wonhee’s neck was starting to hurt while looking up at the tall Guildmaster of the Fall Guild. "Can we buy it then, Hamin-ssi?"
Hamin’s face remained poker-faced. "I’m selling it for one hundred billion won."
Graham, Ahn Kisoo, and Ahyeon– the three who accompanied her to the Nom Nom Restaurant to meet the Fall Guildmaster– gasped in disbelief.
"Okay," Wonhee said calmly. "Does Hamin-ssi want it in cash?"
Graham and Ahn Kisoo reacted as if they were thrown into a panic.
