We attacked the group and they were prepared too. It was a long and hard fight, of course bloody too, but we made it through. We won.

I was so happy. The leader was still alive, while some of their men were dead and the others ran away.

“Stay away from her” I warned him and smirked. He just breathed heavily, while begging for me to leave him alive. I don’t kill now. I left it since someone enlightened my heart.

“Fine”

I went to my car and drove to my base. I was covered in a lot of blood. Of course I wasn’t totally fine. I was hurt and shot too. I had a bullet pass through my hand.

I went to my base doctor. She was a highly paid doctor. She is here to treat everyone who gets hurt during our Mafi fights because we can’t just go to the hospitals.

She bandaged my wound and gave me something waterproof to cover it with while I had a bath. However, she suggested I just dry clean myself but I’d rather have a good bath.

I went to my bathroom and had a shower. I was feeling better. The feeling that everything is gonna be fine soon was awesome.

I didn’t have any enemies, I didn’t have any reason to push her away anymore. I can love her the way I want. I can be with her and I don’t have to hurt her.

This sounds like a dream come true.

I came out and got dressed. I was looking fine, and was smiling more than ever as I thought of us. Now we can marry again and will lead a happy life.

I was afraid that I’d lose and that’s why I didn’t attack for so long. maybe that’s why they thought they were stronger. But this time, it was worth the risk.

She is worth dying for.

I smiled and went to my car. I drove to the nearest flower shop.

I was wearing my best clothes, actually. A handsome suit and my best watch. I bought some good flowers.

“May God make you successful in whatever you want” the florist wished me. I smiled at her.

“I know I will succeed. She loves me already”

She smiled. “Still, all the best”

“Thank you”

She nodded and I went back to my car. All people are so good in this world.

I drove to my house now. I was gonna surprise her.

My men told me that her sister came to stay two days ago. I hope they are having a good time.

I don’t wanna separate them anymore. Let them be the way they are.

I parked in front of my house and got out. The smile never left my face because this was makingme so fucking happy!

I rang the doorbell and waited for her to open the door. She probably has no idea I am coming.

She opened the door and gasped as she saw me. she hugged me and I hugged her back.

I saw Lara behind her and I smiled at her, while she looked quite scared. I sighed. I got away. “I missed you”

“I missed you more”

She smiled and I did a quick kiss. “Come on in” she said as we parted.

I nodded and went inside with her. I closed the door.

Even though Lara has seen me many times, it seems like she still is afraid of me.

“So firstly, your sister doesn’t need to be afraid of me”

Lara looked at me. “I-I… I am--”

“It is okay, I am not gonna harm anyone”

She nodded. “okay”

I chuckled and looked at Ash. She smiled at me. “I am so glad that you are safe…”

“I know you’ll be glad, so” I took out the flowers. “This is for you”

“Aw” she took them and hugged them. “Thank you”

“Anytime”

She kept smiling while I sighed. I just wanna be with her forever now. I want her, and her family to be comfortable around me.

“So, now…” I asked her.

“Oh yeah” she got up. “A little piece of cake is left for you”

I laughed. “Sure”

She went to the kitchen, leaving Lara and me alone. Lara looked at me. “Can I ask you something?”

“Sure” I replied, trying to be more polite than usual.

“A… Ash… she thinks that you… uh… that you--”

“Oh it is just a little piece!” I heard Ashy and she came to the room with a plate. “It is so less, but I’ll make more. First you eat this”

I nodded and started eating. I was feeling good taste in my mouth but my mind was struck by her line. What does Ashy think? Why was Lara so afraid? Why was she stuttering so much? What’s going on?
