Chapter 19: Chapter 19
Vian was driving at high speed. Several cars honked their horns because of that man's careless vehicle and almost hit their cars too.
Vian then stopped at the side of the road when the police officer stopped him.
"Sorry, sir, I'm having a problem," said Vian as he handed over his driver's license.
"Your problem is your business, but you still can't be careless and endanger other people," said the policeman. Vian just nodded and took back his SIM. He also didn't understand why he was so angry when he saw that Karin was really in the hotel.
'Vian, Vian, Vian, what exactly happened to you? You and Karin are just friends. She even said she didn't want to meet after the project she was working on, but why wouldn't you want to see Karin with Matthew?' Vian complained in his heart.
***
Karin looks stunning in a white overalls dress with tiny flowers. Her long straight hair in a ponytail just adds to the natural beauty of her face. Matthew even stood still with his mouth wide open when he saw her.
'No wonder Vian and Mr. Han almost went crazy because of it, this girl is really beautiful,' he muttered to himself.
"Hey," Karin said, flicking in front of Matthew.
"Why are you dumbfounded? Isn't this cloth appropriate, but you don't have any other clothes, do you?"
Matthew nodded.
"I can't change then," the girl continued.
"This is very good in you," said Matthew, giving a thumbs up.
"Beautiful, attractive, captivating, really fascinated me."
"Okay," Karin said, waving her hand.
"No, I mean it. You really are beautiful. That's why I'm taking you out now."
Karin's face turned serious.
"Where are we going?"
"Why? You still don't believe me?" asked Matthew.
"It's not like that," said Karin.
The man then laughed.
"Don't worry, I won't take you anywhere that will harm you."
***
Karin repeatedly looked at Matthew. From earlier, several girls and asked the man to take pictures.
"Are you comfortable like this? Why don't you cover your face when you're outside?" Karin asked.
"Covering my face? Wouldn't that hinder my good looks?" Matthew asked back.
"You seem to be like known by many people. Like to be admired and seen by others. Is that right?"
Matthew nodded.
"When we have it, why hide it?"
He then took a hat that was peddled on the roadside and put it on.
"How? Is it okay?" that man asked.
"But if like this my handsome face will be invisible."
Karin just smiled. She then instead took the sunglasses and told that man to wear them.
"Hey, what the...?"
"Just put it on or we'll go back to the hotel. I don't feel comfortable walking around with people watching us," Karin said with a smile. Matthew nodded and finally complied with the girl's wish.
"What do you think?" Matthew asked then as he stood in front of Karin.
"Hm...." Karin touched her chin as if in deep thought. Even her brows furrowed.
"I don't think the hat fits," she said. She then took the hat on Matthew's head and replaced it with the black hat she chosen. She also put it on the man's head.
"Well, how about now? I think this is more fitting. You look more handsome," Karin said while showing the reflection of the man's figure in the car window parked there.
"You're right," Matthew said with a smile.
"Good thing I took your advice."
They were both surprised when the owner of the car opened the window.
"What are you doing? You want to steal, huh?"
"No, we-we...we just..." Matthew tried to explain, but was cut off by the owner of the car.
"You're in front of the mirror. You think the windshield of my expensive car is a makeup mirror?"
"W-we ... we're sorry," said Matthew in a stuttering voice. The owner of the car even opened the car door. Karin grabbed Matthew's hand and took that man away from there. The owner of the car just looked at them and shook his head.
***
"Hey, I guess ... I think we can stop now," said Matthew breathlessly.
"He doesn't seem to be after us."
They stopped running. Karin was still not convinced by Matthew's words so she checked behind them to see if the man who owned the car was after them. She breathed a sigh of relief when she did not see the figure of the owner of the car.
Matthew smiled when he saw Karin who then caught her breath.
"I didn't think you could be badgirl too. I like you more and more," he said. Karin raised her hand while shaking her head.
"Your seduction will not work on me and I do not do anything naughty. Silvi and I often do this kind of thing," she said. As if she realized something, her face then turned sad.
"What is it?" ask
Matthew looked at Karin's face.
"You remember Silvi? If you still consider her is your friend, why don't you guys make up?"
Karin just shook her head. Matthew quickly followed as Karin already walking.
"How about you yourself? Why don't you make up with Vian?"
"We're mortal enemies. There's no way I can make up with Vian?"
"Weren't you also friends with him?"
"How you know we used to be friends? Vian told you?"
"Only former friends can be enemies like you," Karin said with a smile.
"Smart ass!" Shouted Matthew, though he was smiling too.

Matthew then sat down next to Karin. They were in a park. The atmosphere that evening seemed crowded. Several small children were running and chasing each other, while family members were watching.
A little girl slips down and cries. Another little girl came over and reached out to help. It wasn't long before the litle girl who had fallen stood up and walked with the help of the girl who came to her.
A smile crossed Karin's face.
"Silvi and I used to be like that too," she said, not taking her eyes off the two little girls who were walking toward their family.
"Fall?" asked Matthew.
"Not funny," said Karin.
"Okay, I'm just joking so you don't get sad and keep thinking about your best friend."
"Thank you," Karin said with a smile and turned to look at that man.
For a while, they sat there in silence. Back to enjoying the atmosphere of the afternoon slowly turning into twilight. The swirling orange clouds seemed to decorate the sky. Karin then stood up.
"Where are you going?" asked Matthew, who was still sitting. Only his head turned up to look at that girl.
"Thanks for this afternoon, Matthew," Karin said, bowing.
"But I have to go."
Matthew hurried to his feet and again asked where Karin was going.
"I'm going to the bar. It's time, I have to work. I'll be late if I don't get ready and leave now," Karin replied.
"After what happened to you and you fought with Silvi, you still want to work?"
Karin was silent for a moment then nodded.
"I had no choice. I had to keep working to make money to meet our needs."
Karin then hurriedly stepped forward, but Matthew grabbed the girl's arm.
"You don't have to work there. Marry me!"
