Chapter 14: Chapter 14

Ella couldn’t contact Blaze yesterday that she has decided to come to the music room where she thinks his bandmates would be hanging out. She breathed deeply and turned the knob, opening the door. She was glad that she found his friends inside talking happily.

“Can I talk to you guys for a moment?” Ella shyly asked. Blaze’s bandmates looked at her, their jaw hanging open. Caleb cleared his throat and nodded his head. Ella breathed a sigh of relief and went out of the room with Caleb following behind. They stopped in the hallway.

“I need your help,” Ella muttered. Caleb’s forehead creased. “Please,” she added. Caleb scratched the back of his head.

“I will gladly help you, Luna,” Caleb seriously said that bringing confusion into Ella. “What did you call me?” Ella asked. Suddenly, Caleb went pale.

“Never mind. So, what is it that you want our help with?” Caleb asked, quickly changing the topic before Ella could ask more.

“I need to set up the music room later,” Ella said. She had carefully thought of this last night. “You see, Blaze and I had a misunderstanding. I was thinking of explaining Everything to him later,” she added while fidgeting. Caleb let out a chuckle.

“Is that all? Caleb asked. Ella shyly nodded her head. “Okay, we will do it,” he added. Ella thanked Caleb and went back to her class. She didn’t see Blaze today, and it was okay because she needed to surprise him. Ella kept looking at her watch, wanting the class to immediately end. She had to go back to get the cake she bakes with her mother last night.

When the bell rang, she rose in her seat and ran outside. She texted Caleb and hurriedly went home. Ella opened the door of their house and took the cake from the fridge.

“Ella? You don’t have a class, or did you forget something?” Elisa asked while holding a pot of flowers in her hands. Ella walked to her and kissed her cheeks.

“I will explain Everything later, Mom. I have to get back to school and design the cupcakes,” Ella said. “Wish me luck! I’m not going to be single anymore. Bye, Mom!” she added and giggled.

Ella went out of the house, carrying a large box in her hand. Her phone suddenly vibrated in her pocket, and when she picked it, she saw Caleb’s name on the screen.

“Everything is set. Where are you?”

“I’m on my way back. Is he already there?” Ella typed and sent the message to Caleb. The phone vibrated once again.

“Yes, but the three idiots managed to entertain him so that you can have time. You should get back here as quickly as you can. The three idiots might die by his hands.”

Ella couldn’t help but laugh at the message Caleb sent. She put the phone back in her pocket and called a taxi. Ella handed the driver the money and got out. She was welcomed by Caleb and helped her carry the box.

“Where is he?” Ella anxiously asked while walking to the music room.

“At the computer laboratory,” Caleb answered. They entered the room, and Ella was speechless at what she had seen. Caleb and his friends managed to make the music room look aesthetically pleasing in the eyes in a short amount of time. She began to feel nervous. Ella opened the box and took the cake and cupcakes she baked. Aside from the dessert, she ordered Caleb earlier to buy food. When Ella finished Everything, she went to the bathroom and fixed herself.

“Ready?” Caleb asked when she returned. Ella closed her eyes momentarily and breathed.

“Ready,” Ella replied. Caleb smiled at her and took his phone out, calling Blaze’s number. He waved his hand to her and exited the room leaving Ella all by herself. She sat on the chair and clasped her hands. There were so many what-ifs running on her mind right now, but it instantly vanishes when the door burst open revealing Blaze, panting heavily.

“Ella? Are you alright!? Caleb called me, saying you were hurt!” Blaze’s frantically said while examining Ella’s body for any sign of injuries. Ella couldn’t take it anymore. She suddenly hugged Blaze tightly as she could. Slowly, Blaze began to hug her back. Ella sniffed while rummaging inside her pocket, pulling a thin paper out.

Let me explain?

Blaze read what’s written loudly. Ella bowed while playing with the hem of her shirt. She was surprised when Blaze cupped her face. They looked at each other’s eyes without even blinking. Blaze smiled at her, and Ella did the same. She knew Blaze was waiting for her to speak what’s on her mind.

“What I had with Ashton was all in the past now. What I had for him was anger.” Ella began talking while clasping her hands together. “But I thought my anger was futile, that it is already enough. I have nothing to gain while hating him. He had hurt me, yes, but I don’t want to have connections with him, ever again,” she added quietly.

“I still thanked what he did because if not, we wouldn’t move in here, and I wouldn’t meet you. The person who makes my heart race. The person I love is you, Blaze,” Ella confessed. “I’m sorry for not answering back then. I didn’t mean to hurt you,” Ella finishes and covered her face with her hands. She was afraid to see Blaze’s expression.

“You love me?” Blaze asked while grinning widely. Ella frowned. It seems that Blaze only heard her saying she loves him and ignored her explanation.

“You love? Answer me, Ella,” Blaze asked and held her hands. Slowly, Ella nodded her head. Blaze lifted her and swung her around while smiling wide. He kissed her cheeks and rested his forehead in hers.

“You made me very happy, Ella,” Blaze happily said. “Thank you for loving me. I promise you won’t regret it. I will make you happy,” he added.

“Ask me again,” Ella said. Blaze smiled and kneeled in front of her.

“Will you officially be mine, Ella Merlyn Scott?” Blaze asked. Ella could feel her face getting red. As if Blaze was proposing to her.

“Yes!” Ella yelled, tears streaming down her eyes. “I will be your girlfriend, Blaze,” she added. Blaze stood up and wiped the tears on her face. He gently cupped her face and leaned down, brushing his lips against hers. Ella was overjoyed; she was officially Blaze Matthew Reese’s girlfriend.
