Chapter 218: Chapter 218
Jin glanced outside the window and realised that they were going outside the city.
Realising this was going to be a long journey, he decided to open the system store to pass his time more quickly.

Jin's attention went towards the latest addition to the system store. It has been there since he received the major mission.
'I need to start looking for suitable people for the vaccine development soon,' Jin thought to himself.
Finding talented people in this field was itself very difficult by normal means, and then making sure they are trustworthy and also willing to help in this task was another gigantic issue.
'I need to hurry up since four and a half years is already very little time for vaccine development,' Jin had done a little search online and had realised how short on time he really was.
However, it also made it easy for him to filter out the people whom he would be approaching.
'With this limited time, I can't afford to waste my time on researchers with only average talent and achievements,'
Thinking on these lines, Jin decided to become more active on this issue from now onwards.
'I wonder when I'll be getting my next mission,' Jin thought to himself as his sight went towards the top right corner of his vision.
The crates on which he had placed mini trackers earlier had all reached the coast of Roscosta by now and had stayed at the same spot for the last three days. Nᴇw ɴovel chaptᴇrs are published on N0v3l.Fiɾe.net
'Sooner or later they'll have to move, and at that time I'll know where the mastermind is.' Jin already had a guess in his mind, but he still wanted to confirm.
"Mr Zed, we are here," One of the men who was sitting at the co-driver's seat informed him.
"Oh?" Jin's attention shifted outside, and he noticed that they were now in a small town.
There weren't many houses with lights on at this time, which was understandable since it was already half past twelve at night.
The van slowly moved inside a side garage before coming to a halt.
Hearing the sound of unbuckling, Jin opened the door and got out to see the surroundings.
It was mostly dark, so he was unable to see properly.
Just then, one of the men turned on the garage lights and gestured Jin towards the door at the front of the van, "Follow me, sir."
Beyond the door, there was a stairway that led downwards to a white metallic sliding door with a panel beside it.
After inputting the key, the panel scanned the man's iris, and only after that did the door open.
'Oh? It was a lift?' Jin thought as he got inside, along with the two men, as one of them pressed the 'Level 1' button.
The doors closed, and a while later Jin finally entered KIA's only branch office in Valeyria.
A hallway filled with people dressed in formals and going from one place to the other in a hurried manner. The place looked both chaotic and organised.
"They look like regular office workers," Jin couldn't help but mutter when he saw this scene and looked inquisitively at the man walking beside him.
"Everyone here has a crime record, Sir. Working here provides them a means of livelihood and also another identity so that they can provide for their families," The man stated.
"I see," Jin acknowledged and observed them while being guided by the two men to the waiting room.
"Wait here, Sir, I'll go and inform Madam about you," the man said and left, leaving Jin in the waiting room.
'Looks quite well maintained,' Jin glanced at the room before taking a seat on the couch.
"Would you like a cup of tea or coffee, sir?" an attendant who was standing beside a counter asked.
"Coffee," Jin answered.
By the time Jin was handed a cup of coffee by the attendant, the door of the room was pushed open, and a woman with short blonde hair entered.
She was dressed in a sky-blue office suit and had a confident air around her.
Walking towards the couch facing Jin, she seated herself and stretched her hand towards him.
"I'm Emma, this branch's Head of Intelligence,"
Jin accepted her greeting and shook hands with her.
"I believe I don't need to introduce myself now, do I? Jin asked with a smirk.
"Certainly not," Emma chuckled lightly and gestured towards the man who had tailed after her inside the room.
The next moment, the man placed a suitcase on the table between the two of them before opening it.
"This is the latest laptop which we have developed. It would allow you to utilise the skills you have learnt in the academy.
It's not comparable to the station which you used at the academy, but compared to normal PCs and laptops, this is miles ahead and much safer."
"Pretty neat," Jin traced his fingers over the laptop and commented.
"And here," Emma took something out of her pocket and passed it to Jin, "This is a pen drive with which you could access KIA's application on any device from now on,"
"I believe the application would have more features now, no?" Jin asked.
"Indeed, assassin-level missions are now visible on it with the required rank mentioned beside it.
Along with it, you can also access the server database to find intel on any individual who has a government ID in Valeyria." She answered.
"Becoming an assassin is indeed quite beneficial, as Jin played with the pen drive that was in his hand while sneakily observing Emma's expression.
"But I believe there was no need to call me over here for just this much, don't you agree?" Jin suddenly asked with narrowed eyes.
"You're right. There's something I wish to know," Emma states without a change in her expression.
"And that is?" Jin pushed for an answer.
Emma nodded at the man beside her, and a few seconds later, Jin and Emma were the only ones inside the room.
"So, Mr William," Emma paused and narrowed her eyes before continuing, "Why did you fake your results?"
