Chapter 266 Punishment and Confinement

"You're punishing me because you think I'm wrong but Mr. Cage, aren't you and Rachel behaving the same way?"

Nick's black eyes trembled slightly, and he paused from biting her shoulder. Crimson marks appeared on her white and tender skin from where he had sunk his teeth as soon as they were released.

He raised his upper body and his eyes caught the way the lights reflected on Veronica's eyes. He felt irritation out of nowhere. His blood was boiling, and it made him restless.

That irritability was replaced by a crazy driving force that won't be quenched until he possesses her.

Unable to bear his stare, Veronica opened her mouth to speak. But her lips were caught by a deep possessive kiss.

It was already afternoon when Veronica woke up. She was not in a bar, but in Winter Villa, on Nick's bed.

She vaguely remembered that Nick didn't let her go from the moment she stepped into Winter Villa.

Nick was not human! He's an animal!

There was no Nick by her side.

Veronica's body felt like it was smashed and was reassembled right after. She gritted her teeth in discomfort.

When she moved to sit up, she thought she heard a sound of a bone being dislocated.

Without clothes to wear, she went to the cloakroom wrapped in a quilt to take one of Nick's shirt and trouser.

Veronica walked out of the room that Nick had prepared for her. She walked in a slow face. She felt like she was drifting.

If those six little girls were only in front of her now, as long as one ran towards her, she would be knocked over.

There were so many dazzling women's clothes in the cloakroom. Veronica casually pulled a set of clothes and changed into them without the slightest idea which famous brand they are from.

When she got downstairs, she was greeted by Bob. "Miss Parker, you're awake. The meal is ready."

"No, I'm going back."

"But Mr. Cage didn't say you could go back."

"What?" Veronica was so shocked that she almost twisted her neck when she turned to look at Bob. "So, what if he didn't say that? Does that mean I couldn't go back? Is that the rule of Winter Villa? "

"Sorry, Miss Parker."

Veronica had nothing to argue with him, so she called Nick directly. "Mr. Cage, can I go back now?" Veronica asked as soon as she got through.

"No."

"Why?"

"I'm still angry."

"You're still angry after what you've done?" Veronica questioned, barely suppressing her emotions.

"That's not enough."

Speechless, Veronica clenched her teeth and her chest heaved in anger.

"Just listen to what I say." With that, he ended the call.

"Hello? Hello? Hello?! Nick Cage, you bastard!" Veronica was so angry that she started to curse.

Meanwhile, Bob silently watched she curse Nick to her heart's content.

Veronica couldn't go back and could only call Isabella. She didn't even know how many days Nick planned on confining her.

She was angry, but there was nothing she could do about it.

And it's all because of her deal with Rachel.

It doesn't matter and she should learn from this experience. People needed failure to grow. Veronica comforted herself.

Veronica had an early dinner that afternoon before she went back to her room to have a rest.

Her body was in a state where she can't overuse it. Since she couldn't walk, she might as well have more rest.

Who knows what Nick planned to do to her when he comes back!

Veronica didn't know how long she had slept when she sensed that someone was messing with her.

She woke up with bleary eyes. The light in the room was dim, but the figure of a man sitting on the edge of the bed was particularly clear. The scene forced her to wake up completely.

Her body shrank back as a refusal to Nick's touch.

Her head sank and was buried in the pillow. "What are you doing? I haven't slept well yet." Her voice buzzed.

"Get up and have dinner."

"I didn't eat until 3PM. I'm not hungry." Veronica closed her eyes and turned her back to him. "I'm going to sleep until the next morning. Do not wake me up unless the sky collapses."

Truthfully, her sleepiness had long since gone because of the appearance of Nick, but she didn't want to have too much contact with this dangerous man, so she should just pretend to sleep!
