I looked upstairs, and it was Star in his white robe coming downstairs.

I took the last spoon of the ice cream and threw it into the trashcan as soon as I came down from the Lamborghini in a daze as I touched the spot that that lady held on.

Why did her touch feel so warm in my arms?

Why were both of us electrified when we touched each other’s fingers? Who was she?

I have never seen her in my life? Why do I keep thinking about her?

“Bro.’ Amoux called me.

I rolled my eyes and replied. “What is it?’

“What are you thinking about?’ he questioned.

“I was thinking about that bitch?’

“That white-haired alpha we saw earlier calling me Gerard.’

“How do you feel when she calls you that name?’

I laughed. “What kind of question is that? How do I feel? Wait a second, dude. How am I supposed to react?”

Amoux laughed as we both entered the elevator to our penthouse.

As soon as we got to the floor, my mother ran to me and gave me an enormous hug.

“Surprise.’ she screamed and everyone came out clapping for me.

‘What’s the occasion all about?’

“Have you forgotten? Today is your birthday.’

“Really.” I chuckled and everyone came to hug me, saying congratulations to me.

I was surprised at the five layers of chocolate cake presented before me.

I was given a knife to make a wish and cut the cake.

I took the knife and stared at the cake. I didn’t know what wish I wanted to make, so I blew out the candles and cut the cake.

Everyone clapped and cheered me up with the place lightened up and decorated.

My mom kissed my cheek and went on sharing the cake with everyone.

I didn’t want to eat anything named chocolate, so I just excused myself and went out the balcony to breathe in some fresh air.

My life was perfect, and I didn’t want to give it so many thoughts, but the memories of that lady kept bothering me.

She was a baffling one. Why do I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before? Her aura was strange and dark.

I smiled and walked out of the balcony to my room.

As soon as I switched on the light, I saw my younger brother lying on my bed with a shocking expression.

“What the hell are you doing in my room, Amoux?’

Then I noticed he was wearing his pajamas and grabbing onto my pillow.

“I don’t want to stay in my room. Our mom and everyone barged into my room acting some kind of Cinderella stuff I don’t even know about. They are taking my stuff, making all kinds of noise and wouldn’t let me sleep in my room. Can you believe it? In my room, they took control over it as if they were the owner of my room. Come on, I got fucking frustrated and ran out of there. Ivy, you could have believed it…”

I yawned and was tired of hearing his rambling.

I took off my clothes and began wearing my pajamas.

“Come on, Ivy, listen to me.’

“I’m done listening to your asses. Now, get off my bed this instant and let me breathe. I need to have a good sleep. No disturbance, if you try to disrupt my sleep. I swear, I will kick you out of my room.’

“You are so mean.’

“I don’t give a fuck.’ I laid down and wrapped myself with a blanket. “Switch off the light, Amoux.’
