This was tearing up my soul. I couldn’t hold on to the tears anymore and had to let it out.

"What the fuck is wrong with you, this family?’ I shouted. “I can’t stand you guys anymore. How could I have deceived myself? How could you have made me believe you love me so much, Gerard?’

I got up and banged the locks with my fist.

I screamed. “Tell me what is going on. I don’t want to be kept in the dark anymore.’

“You aren’t kept in the dark, Emily."

“What do you mean by that?’ I screamed.

‘Are you going to continue screaming or will you act like a civilised werewolf and talk to me?’

“I’m acting like one, Gerard. You are my husband, right?’

“Yes, I know.’

“No, you don’t know.’ I screamed again. “You’ve been cheating on me.’

“I never cheated on you, Emily. Geez, you know I will never do that to you.’

“You will never do it to me or to Oceana.”

“Emily.’

“What were you doing at the pleasure house with Oceana? Every night, you sneak out and go there. Is it for Oceana or to meet other women? All this time, why didn’t you ever tell me about your feelings? You lied to me, Gerard. I loved you for years. How could you do this to me?’

“Since I got married to you, I never had an affair with any woman or slept with any of them in the pleasure house. I go there to have fun. I don’t kiss, touch, or have sex with them.”

“Then why were you there? Why was Oceana kissing YOU?’ I yelled.

“I don’t know how to answer that question.’

“I am your wife, Gerard. How could you do this to me? How could you?”

“Will you shut up?” he yelled.

I was stunned.

“Shut the fuck up.’ he stood up to me. “I’m getting frustrated here, okay? I got feelings Emily, just calm the fuck down and talk to me.’

“Gerard.’ my eyes welled up.

“Yes, I made a big mistake by not telling you what my feelings are, and I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Emily, for deceiving you. I know this is all my fault and I need to make up for all my mistakes. It is my fault and I accept that, but I can’t stop loving her. She doesn’t even know I love her so much more than she thinks I am. I’ve always been in love with Oceana since the moment I held her in my arms, Emily.”

My eyes widened.

“Yeah, I need to be honest with you. I don’t want to lie to you anymore. I need you to hear me out and know what I’m talking about. I love you, Emily, and I’m grateful to you for always loving me, even though I never loved you just as much. Yet, I love Oceana so much I will do anything for her. She is my whole life. She rocked my world. She is my everything, Emily. I feel like she was born to me. I sense this energy whenever I’m around her, I don’t want to leave her, I don’t want her getting married to someone else. I love her so much my heart bleeds, Emily, but I can’t have her. That’s the most painful part. I don’t want to ruin her life because of my selfish deeds. I don’t want her killed.’

His eyes welled up with tears as I fell to the ground.

“Do you think I’m enjoying all these things that are happening? Do you even understand my pain of how much I love her but I can’t have her in my arms because of the realms and I’m not even her…” he shook his head.

“Gerard.’

“Even if you want to divorce me, I will let you do so. I would let you find a good life elsewhere, a man better than me. An Alpha who is not in love with his sister. An Alpha who would love you for your own good, Emily. I can’t stop loving Oceana. I love her so much I can give my life to her. That’s what my love is and even after a thousand years, I would still love her more.”

“She is your blood.’ I shouted with disgust.

He smiled. “You think I care, Emily? I don’t want to know if she is my sister or not. She is mine and will always be my mate.”

“What! She is your…your fated mate?’

“Why do you think she is after me, Emily? Do you think she is just my lover? No, she isn’t. That’s why I got married to you, so she would leave me alone and make her find someone else. But she didn’t give up. She kept coming to me and wanting to…”

“Stop me from being your wife, Gerard.’ I finished.

“Yes, she is and I don’t want to hurt her.’ he got up. “Avoid her for now,” he said.

“I’m not divorcing you.’ I said and stood up from the ground and faced him.

“Why? Aren’t you sick of me? An Alpha who doesn’t want to leave his sister alone?’

“No, you are not sick to me, Gerard. Since you want to protect her, let’s stay married.’

He frowned. “Why? What’s your ulterior motive?’

“I love you, Gerard, but I don’t want to leave you. You and I both know the reason Oceana is doing this. You don’t want to hurt her and I don’t want to leave you.’

“You don’t know what I’m dealing with, Emily. Don’t get involved. You don’t know who I am. If you know the sort of person I am, you would hate me. It doesn’t matter if you know me for eight years. I am not who you think I am.’

“What do you mean, Gerard?’

“Stay away from Oceana for the meantime,” he replied.

“But Gerard…’ He raised up his hand at me as tears flowed down his eyes. “I’m sorry for getting you into my mess. I will bring the divorce papers and make sure you sign them.’

“No! No, Gerard.’ I disagreed and called after him, but he left and shut the door behind him.

Why does his face screams sorrows and pain?

Oceana’s Pov.

I lay down on my bed and felt a heavy knock on the door.

“Come in.’ I announced and saw my father coming in with his bodyguards.

I quickly stood up from the bed to pay my respects to him. He nodded and motioned me to sit down.

I did, and we both went silent for a while.

It scared me to talk, say a word to him because his expression wasn’t what it used to be.

He seemed nonchalant about it and serious about seeing me.
