"Answer me. Where were you last night? Rumours are spreading around and I don’t like what I’m hearing. The poor lady must be hurt and depressed by what is moving around. So, I need you to go to her and apologise. Explain yourself on how it happened.’

So, she hasn’t heard about her imprisonment.

I clenched my fist and glared at her. “And why the fuck should I do that?”

“Mind your tone, young lady.” She warned. “You are the future Alpha of the realms. You are to address this issue and stop behaving like a child.”

It already pissed me off.

“I will do no such thing. Gérard should clear it: he was the one who was caught in the pleasure house, not me.”

“Oceana.”

“Mother, I’m not doing it. Let the people say whatever they feel like saying. It isn’t my business, and I don’t want to get involved in this mess.”

“You’ve caused a lot of damage and people are talking, questioning us, and you say you don’t want to get involved. You are already inside this situation you’ve created, so fix it. Since when do you whore around?”

I ran past my mom and didn’t bother to look back as tears streamed down my face and bumped into someone who chuckled.

I wiped off my tears, and the instant I perceived his scent; I gasped in shock.

The whole of my body shivered at the sight of this terrifying alpha before me.

I couldn’t breathe, or take even a single step.

“Look who we have here, the princess of the realms, Princess Oceana.’ He waved at my face with a smirk. “How the years have gone by, you’ve quite turned into such a beautiful woman. Had your first sex yet? Was it painful?!'

Valarr came to me and put a hand over my forehead. Tears beamed and burned down through my eyes.

I wasn’t myself. I couldn’t eat or sleep last night because of what happened.

I had fear, anxiety all throughout the night because of Gerard’s words. How could I have known someone would spread such rumours about us?

I wonder what Gerard thinks of this situation.

The heavy burden on my shoulders was making me weep and how damaging Gerard’s reputation will be because of me.

This was making me so bitter. I was so weary of the whole situation and Gerard’s decision weighed me down. Why was everyone against it?

I wasn’t what they claimed I was behind the scenes. I haven’t even slept with Gerard.

Why can’t I get my mate? What do I have to do to get Gerard on my side?

“Why the fuck are you crying?’ he asked. “You are my fucking mate. I don’t want to see those tears in your eyes. It’s disgusting to me,’ he reacted with a scoff.

My eyes turned red. “Who are you to tell me what to say? What are you doing here, Valarr?’ I shouted at him, taking a step back.

“Oh, are you so angry to see me? The last time I saw you was when you were still a baby clinging your little hands to Gerard’s waist wherever he went. Have you forgotten me so soon?’

“What are you doing here, you bastard?’

“You are nearly eighteen. Shouldn’t I come so I can know my mate more and have a taste of the forbidden fruit before Gerard tastes it?’

“Bastard.’ I uttered.

“And a handsome one, indeed.’ He laughed.

“What do you want from me?’

“To claim you, of course,” he smirked and drew closer to me. “Who else should I claim as my mate aside from you? I came to get married to you. After all, I am your second mate.’

I heard Carmine’s footsteps coming towards me.

“Oceana, I have had enough of your tantrums. Stop this attitude of yours. I’m sick and tired of it. How dare you arrest Emily because she approached you? Couldn’t you have just settled this nicely? People are talking all over the place because of what you did. Come on, stop this already.”

I glared at him with a solemn expression.

“What kind of look is that? Why are you behaving like this? What is the matter with you?’

“Why did you do it?’

“She has every right to suffer after what she did to me. How could she accuse me of such treason? She’s the problem right now, not me.’

“Release her now,”

He stared at me.

“I will only release her if Gerard agrees to talk to me. I wouldn’t let this slide at all.”

“OCEANA.’ he shouted.

“Hi there.’ Valarr waved his hands at Carmine.

Carmine frowned. “What are you doing inside the realms?’

“Really! What happened to “How are you? How was your day? Welcome back to the palace. How was your trip?’ he smirked. “Don’t tell me that. This is how the prince Carmine of the realms welcomes his guests.’

“Get straight to the point. What are you doing here?”

“To claim Oceana as my mate.’

They threw me into prison as it tightly shut the heavy locks.

I was left alone, sitting down on the rocky ground.

The trench of this prison was horrible. I had to take a deep breath as tears ran down my cheeks.

It hurt me…

Broken. Depressed.

I fell in love with Gerard. The minute I set my eyes on him, he became my first love.

Though he was arrogant and rude when we first met.

He soon became a respectful Alpha once I confessed my feelings to him.

He didn’t respond at first, he only smiled and kissed me on my lips, so I assumed he loved me.

We got along well, but there was this girl I always see on his phone. She was beautiful, so I thought I would look like her.
