Chapter 43: Chapter 43
“I started it? But how did that ever happen? Was it because I made what wasn’t up to your taste? I already apologise for that...”
“Jeez, spare me the explanation. I hate hearing you speak because what comes out of your mouth doesn’t make sense. Who is talking about the food you made? I’m speaking about you invading my privacy.’
“Ok, I’m sorry about that...”
“I don’t need your apology, Emily. Keep it to yourself, bitch.” I snapped, pointing my fingers at her in resentment.
“Do not call me a bitch, Alpha Oceana. All I can see is that you don’t like me. It’s pretty obvious. I don’t know what I’ve done to you for you to hate me so much. Ever since I came to this palace, to the clan, you’ve done nothing but abhor me. Can I know why you feel such darkness in your heart against me? Did I offend you in any way? Please speak up and let’s resolve this between us.”
What is she, a saint or what? Commanding me to speak up as if I was a kid. What a slutty bitch?
“Who said I don’t like you?’ I scoffed and began laughing. “You are just making that up, acting innocent in all this, aren’t you?’
“No, I’m not making anything up. And no one is saying you don’t like me, but your actions speak louder than your words. Everyone is noticing it. It’s getting pretty obvious. No one is a fool here.’
I laughed bitterly. “I have nothing to fix with you, you are getting on my nerves and I hate seeing your face, just get out of here and mind your damn business, face the home, you forcefully created and stop being a busybody around Gerard, and give us some space.”
“This is getting into me, what have I ever done to you to deserve such treatment from you, you hated me the moment you met me, even at the dining table your actions show it all, this isn’t how well respected Alphas like you behave. What have I done wrong to earn such ill treatment from you.’ She reacted. “This isn’t right.’
“So, what do you want to do, beat me up because this isn’t right? You are such a nuisance around here?’ I mocked.
Gérard stepped in between us, interfering and stopping the both of us.
“That’s enough, both of you.’ He interrupted and faced Emily. “Stop this, Emily, let’s go inside.” He went to her and grabbed her hand, but she refused to go along with him.
“Emily.” He called her.
“I’m not leaving with you. She must tell me what I did to make her hate me so much. I tried my best for her to like me. What did I do for her to hate me?”
Gérard shut his eyes, like he was fed up and frustrated with the whole thing.
“Leave with him. I just don’t want to see your face. It irritates me and I hate you, bitch, Alpha snatcher.” I screamed.
“Oceana.” He warned.
“Don’t call me Gérard, I wouldn’t have it from you, caution me in front of this slutty bitch.”
“Can you see what I’m talking about?” Emily told him. “Your sister despises me.”
“Oceana, please leave here, and let this issue end here.’
“I wouldn’t. She should do that instead. I grew up here. This is my fucking home, not hers, and I’m the boss around here. She should do that instead, leave here, and not me.” I stood firm, persisting against his idea.
“What the hell are you doing? Make this end,’ he flared up.
“I wouldn’t end this. Even if you are the last Alpha on earth, I will still go on with this issue.’
He walked up to me with a dark look as he whispered. “Behave yourself and stop causing a scene.’
“This is only just the beginning.’ I snarled. “Since you want to cause me pain and make me cry for the rest of my life, I wouldn’t let you be at peace with this witch.’ my eyes welled up, the disappointed look on his face tore my soul apart.
Why on earth was I feeling this horrible? This mate bond is changing me and the more I let my anger out, the more pain I feel.
“Why are you trying to start trouble with an innocent lady who knows nothing about us? Stop involving her in our mess,” he strictly warned and squeezed my shoulder with his hand.
I dared him with a sneer. “This is not a mess to me, but to you. I’m not going to stop involving her between us. She must know the truth about us and my point of correction. You are the one stopping us from bonding, and don’t call what we have a mess. It takes two to tangle. You caused all this. If you will just accept me, all this will end.’ my eyes dripped tears down my cheeks. I didn’t care as I proceeded with my statements. “You are mine and the more tormented she gets from me, the more chances of me seeing you whenever I like, and getting the attention too.’
He laughed a little, rubbed his face countless times and made a long sigh.
“When I say you are just a child and a noisy brat you get offended by my words, but you are immature and that’s the damn truth.’
“I don’t care if I’m immature, as long as I get what I get.’
“I think you should take a long nap, Oceana. Consider your actions and ask yourself if what you are doing is the right thing.’
“I don’t need to take a nap or think about anything stupid.’ I chuckled.
“Stupid, huh! Let this be the first and last. This will go on, compose yourself and stop being a pain in the ass. Stop this monster side of yours, the attention and everything. I don’t like it.’
“Emily.” He called and went over to her, held her shoulder and muttered. “Let’s go.”
The door suddenly opened and my parents stared at us, wondering what was going on.
“Are you guys fighting?’ My mother asked.
I snarled and turned to Emily. “You better stay in your lane. Trust me, this won’t go on for long.” With that, I walked out on them, omitting Jessie and my parents.
I got to my room, and my eyes nearly filled with tears, when Jessie barged in and shut the door.
“What’s the matter with you? This isn’t like you.” She went to my windows and opened the curtains for some fresh air to get in. “Why are you behaving like such a brat?
