Themis' POV

I gently pushed Belle away from me when she tried to kiss me. She looked straight at me with confusion all over her face.

"I'll drive you home now. You're already drunk."

"Themis. Why are you doing this to me? Don't you love me anymore?"

But I just didn't mind her. I took off my coat and placed it on her shoulders as I guided her to walk. She immediately fell asleep when we arrived in my car.

I couldn't help but stare at her tear-stained face while she was sleeping. I swept the strands of hair that were covering her eyes and wiped the tears from her eyes using my fingers.

I don't even know what's happening to me these past few days. I thought I still love Belle, but when she kissed me a while ago, I felt nothing. My heart didn't even skip a beat, unlike when Winter kissed me before.

Belle is a very important person to me, and I know I really loved her before, but I don't know what happened and I don't even want this. This is wrong, and this was never included in my plan.

In the end, I had no choice but to bring Belle to our house. I just asked the maids to help her change her clothes.

"Brother, why is Dr. Belle here?" Elisse asked me as I stepped out of my room where Belle was sleeping at.

I patted her head, and we walked downstairs to the living room. We sat on the couch and I looked at Elisse, who was still clueless about what was happening. "I just saw her, and so I decided to bring her here since I know she'll be safe here than if I let her go home alone and drunk. You should help me take care of her, okay?"

She immediately nodded her head and smiled. "I promise! I will take care of Dr. Belle as much as I can!"

"That's my girl."

"By the way, brother. Miss Winter hasn't arrived yet."

My brows furrowed as I heard that. "What? But where did she go? Why didn't she tell me?"

"She left the house with Uncle Ian this morning. She was wearing a red dress."

"Did she say anything before she left?"

Ellise shook her head. "No. She just waved goodbye at me."

"Where did she go? With that man again?" I mumbled to myself.

All of a sudden, I felt Elisse's hand on my lap. "Brother, I'm worried about Miss Winter. Please, let's save her."

"Don't worry, Elisse. I'll try to call her, okay?"

"Thank you, Brother..."

"By the way, you have to go to your room now. It's quite late already."

Elisse obediently nodded her head and went upstairs straight to her room. Upon hearing her close her door, I took my phone out of my pocket and tried to call Winter, but she just wouldn't answer it.

Why isn't she answering my calls?

I tried calling her again, and to my surprise, she finally answered it.

"Winter, where are you?"

"This is not Winter. Winter's already sleeping, so please stop disturbing her."

I got surprised upon realizing that it was actually Ian who answered my call. "Ian, where did you bring Winter? It's already late at night. Tell me where you are and I'll go there to get her."

"Can you stop acting as if you really care about Winter? You're not even her husband, so quit that act now."

"She's living here with us and we're worried about her. Just give me the address and I'll go there now to—

"Oh, really? You know what? You should just fuck off and mind your own business. I can protect her and I will never ever hurt her, unlike you." as soon as he said those things to me, he hung up the phone.

Belle's POV

I woke in an unfamiliar room. I sat up on the bed and roamed my eyes around the room, only for me to realize it was a man's room.

Wait, don't tell me...

Before I could even think of anything, the door went open and Themis stepped inside. He was already wearing his usual corporate attire.

"Y-You're already awake."

"Themis---I-I mean, Matthew. I'm so sorry, for sure, I got so drunk last night that you had no choice but to bring me here. Sorry if I caused any trouble..."

He shook his head. "No, it's alright. By the way, you may take a bath now and we'll have our breakfast downstairs. Elisse is already waiting for you."

"O-Okay..."

After that, Themis already left me alone there and so I decided to take a bath already and went downstairs. I immediately saw Themis and Elisse talking to each other in the dining room. I couldn't help but smile while looking at them. They look really close to each other. They look as if they are really related to each other.

"Dr. Belle!"

"Good morning, Elisse."

"Have a seat, Belle. Let's have our breakfast and we'll go to school together." Themis said to me.

I nodded my head as I sat down beside Elisse. "Thank you so much for welcoming me to your home."

"You're always welcome here, Doctor Belle!"

"Really? Oh, thank you so much Elisse!" That's when I noticed that Winter wasn't around. "By the way, is Winter not here?"

Both Elisse and I turned our heads to Themis when he spoke. "She told me she just had something important to do. Don't worry, she'll go home later."

"That's good to hear then. For sure Elisse has been so worried about her."

"Yes. I want to see Miss Winter already.."

I glanced at Themis again, and I saw a glimpse of worry in his eyes. Even if he doesn't say it, I know he wasn't able to sleep properly last night thinking about his fake wife. They are just pretending to be a family, but I guess his feelings are real. And I couldn't help but feel sad about that.
