Chapter 116: Chapter 116
Winter's POV
After wine touring, we then went to South island to ski and try the Hanmer Springs.
Snow-capped mountains and towering forests surrounded the place. It also has a main street filled with boutique shops, cafes, and eateries. The sun was already setting when we accomplished all the activities, so we already proceeded to the thermal resort. It has children focused swings which Elisse enjoyed, slides, and tunnels to pools with a range of temperatures.
Summer, mommy, Elisse, and I went to a different pool from the boys.
The warm water felt so relaxing, adding up to the relaxing, scenic view of our surroundings.
"Mommy, can I go to that slide thing again?" Elisse suddenly asked me.
"Huh? Sure, if you want to. I'll just ask Maggie and Eula to accompany you. Just make sure to behave and careful, okay?"
She nodded her head with a smile on her face. "Yes, mommy!"
I followed her with my eyes until I couldn't no longer see her. I was about to close my eyes to relax while dipping myself into the hot spring when Summer spoke. "Winter, are you planning to marry Matthew again?"
"What?"
"I mean, your marriage before is obviously not valid, since you don't love each other. But now that you finally have real feelings toward each other, are you planning to get married again?"
"Of course, why do you even have to ask that? Of course, we're going to marry each other when everything's already fine."
"Then, that marriage should be paid by your husband, since our family was the one who paid for the previous one." Mommy commented.
I looked at her as I nodded my head. "We won't be getting any money from the family for our next wedding, so there's no need for you to worry."
"That's good to hear, then. At least the money of our family wouldn't be wasted anymore."
"Mom, stop it already." said Summer.
I rolled my eyes as I decided to stand up and got off the hot spring, leaving the two of them alone there. Looks like I was wrong when I thought I could relax and have some peace of mind here. Being with them is just making my life miserable.
I just changed into my clothes and watched Elisse as she played with the other kids. I couldn't help but smile while seeing her having so much fun. After all, what's most important is that she enjoys it here.
"Why are you here? Are you done with the hot spring?"
I raised my head and saw Matthew who was already dressed up, too. He sat next to me on the bench.
"I didn't get the relaxation that I want there. They keep on buzzing like bees. I can't even close my eyes for a second." I complained.
Matthew chuckled as he patted my head. "Then, do you just want to relax later? I can give you a shoulder massage before we go to sleep."
"Are you really going to do that?"
"Of course. I know you want to relax because you're too tired from working and doing the things that you need to do every day."
I pouted at him. "I should be the one telling you that, too. You're working so hard more than I do every day. You're the one who's always tired. I should be the one giving you a massage before we go to sleep later."
"Then, shall we give each other a massage before we go to sleep later?"
"That's right."
We both laughed after that. Everything would really be alright as long as I have Matthew and Elisse beside me.

"Grandpa, why don't I have a photo in the hospital when I was born?" I asked grandpa while we were inside the library room in the manor. We just finished having dinner, and so I decided to talk to him for a while before going to bed. He showed me some old photos of mommy, daddy, and Summer in the hospital when she was born, but there wasn't any photo of me.
Grandpa obviously got surprised by what I just asked him. "W-Well, maybe it's somewhere else. Maybe in other photo albums."
"I already saw all of the albums and I never really saw a single photo of me when I was just a newly-born. I am the oldest daughter, how come you didn't even take a single photo of me back then? Or maybe mom and dad decided not to? Since they regret having me?"
"Oh, you kid. Don't say things like that. We were so happy when we saw you back then."
"But not anymore. Not when Summer has been born, right?"
Grandpa shook his head. "Of course, not. You don't know how you saved this family. You were our only hope. Especially me, I was over the moon the second that I saw you. Since then, I knew that you'd do great someday. I knew you will become the great woman that you are now."
"Oh, grandpa. I really am so lucky to have you as my grandpa. You're always the one who tells me those flattering things whenever I feel so useless."
"This is what you should always remember, Winter. No matter what happens in the future, always remember that I am so proud of you and I will always remain as your grandpa."
I furrowed my brows at him. "Of course, is there even an event that could happen where I couldn't longer have you as my grandpa? Even if the world ends, you will always be my grandpa because we're blood-related. Ah, this silly grandpa of mine."
"That's right, that's right. And you will always be my favorite granddaughter."
"You also say that to Summer every single time."
He just smiled at me. I then stood up and hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much for making me feel better, grandpa... Love You so much..."
"And I love you so much too, my grand daughter.."
