Chapter 110: Chapter 110
Belle's POV
"You've been sighing for so many times now. Is there something that's bothering you?" Timothy asked me while we were sitting on the couch in my living room.
I still can't stop thinking about the stupid pretention that Ian and I are doing. I actually want to refuse to do it, but I have no choice. We have the same goal, and so I think it would be easier for the both of us to accomplish those goals if we help each other.
"Hey, are you even listening to me?"
I only got back to my senses when Tim began moving his hands in front of me to get my attention. I looked at him confusingly. "H-Huh? I'm sorry, what did you say again?"
He heaved a sigh. "See? You do really have a problem. Tell me, what is it?"
"Problem? No, I don't have a problem. Don't worry about me, Tim. I'm doing fine. I'm just tired."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yup. You don't have to worry about me."
"Perhaps it's about a guy?"
That made me look at him. "W-What?"
"One of the top reasons why people become problematic is because of love. And I know those sighs that you release. Those are the sighs that only an in love person does."
"Oh, so you're a love expert now, huh?"
He shrugged and patted my head. "Belle, you know I see you as my sister ever since, right? There's no need for you to hide anything from me anymore. I know I'm not as intelligent and as good as Themis when it comes to giving pieces of advice, but I can give some, too."
"Tim, the only person I'm in love with is Themis. There's no one else."
"Oh well, who else. What's the problem with him then?"
Why did I even mention Themis' name, anyway? I know Timothy, he won't stop asking me until I finally give up and tell him about what's bothering me. He became like that when Themis stopped worrying about me since he has a girlfriend already.
I took a deep breathe and took a sip of the coffee that I made for myself before Tim even arrived.
"He already has a girlfriend."
Timothy didn't react immediately. I just noticed his eyes widened when it finally sink in to him. "W-What? Themis has a girlfriend? Wait, you told me he's already married, right? You mean, he's two-timing? Oh, that dude. I knew it, he's just acting a good boy, but he also likes women."
"They acted as a married couple just so they could convince people and also for Themis to hide his identity. But then Themis fell in love with that woman and asked her to be his girlfriend, for real."
"You mean, that woman knows about his real identity now? He told her about everything already?"
I shook my head. "He told me he's just waiting for the right timing."
"I never expected him to fall in love with another woman. And that woman doesn't even know anything about his real identity. What if she finds out about everything and sabotage Themis' plan?"
"I don't know... Even I, never expected Themis would fall in love with her."
I just felt Tim's arm around my shoulders to console me. "And now I know the reason why you keep on sighing a while ago. You're jealous, right? You got hurt because he fell in love with someone else and not with you?"
I didn't answer him. That only made me realize I have no hope with Themis anymore. I didn't even see a tinge of jealousy in his eyes when Ian and I announced that we have a relationship. He looked confused, but not jealous or sad.
"But, what if Themis is just using that woman? He pretended he loves her just so he could go on with his plan? We know Themis, Belle. He will do everything for our family."
"I doubt that, Tim. He doesn't have to tell her he loves her and make her his girlfriend when they're already married in the eyes of the people around them. I think Themis really loves her this time."
"But, what about you? Do you even know how Themis used to be so in love with you before? He was always waiting for you to come back. I even caught him hiding a photo of you in the drawer inside his room. He was so in love with you, Belle. I know you also know that."
"But then he met Winter. And all the love that he
once had for me vanished in thin air like a memory that one cannot bring back no matter what one does."
"Then I will talk to him."
I gazed at Timothy who's brows were already furrowed as if he was mad about something. "W-What? You know you can't see him yet, right? Themis even told me that he can't see you while he's still in the process of his plan."
"I don't care. I'll tell him how foolish he is for hurting you like this. How can he do this to you? How can he hurt you like he didn't care for you at all? It doesn't makes sense, Belle! I need to talk to that asshole!"
"Tim, don't do that. Themis will just be worried about you and me. Let's just support him and let him do what he wants. If he really loves me, then he will come back to me and he will realize I'm the one he truly cares about the most and that woman is just nothing. You don't have to do anything for me, Tim. Being here to listen to all my rants is already enough for me." I said as I gave him a reassuring smile.
I could see how he balled his hands into fists. Then he heaved a sigh and nodded his head. "Fine. But I don't want to see you cry because of him."
