Winter's POV

"Do you really believe them?" I asked Matthew while we were heading to my company building.

He held tight to my hand before speaking. "Well, I'm a bit confused too, but I know Belle. She wouldn't do something that she'll regret in the end. She's a smart woman, and I think I believe whatever she tells me."

I heaved a deep sigh. "I don't really know how to react. But anyway, they both deserve a happy life and a healthy relationship. Who am I to question their love for each other? Although they looked so nervous while talking to us inside the coffee shop."

"You're right. But what's important is that they're both happy."

"Uhm. Oh, we're already here."

"So, let's just meet each other later?"

I nodded my head and smiled at him. "See you later, my pumpkin."

He leaned closer to me and kissed me on the forehead. "See you later. Make sure to take a rest every once in a while."

"I thought you were going to give me a kiss on the lips." I pouted at him.

"Winter."

Matthew has a habit of calling me by my name when he wants me to stop acting like a kid in front of him when many people are around. I can't really flirt with my boyfriend when it's working time or whenever there are people around.

As if he didn't kiss me passionately in front of my employee. Sometimes I can't really find out what's running inside his mind.

But one thing's for sure. It's the fact that Matthew is such a good kisser.

"Fine. Bye. I love you." I said while smiling at him.

"I love you more than you'll ever know." he said while looking directly into my eyes.

I don't know if it's his voice or the way he says those words that makes my heart feel so warm. Whenever he tells me he loves me, I feel like I can do whatever I want and no one can stop me.

Ian's POV

Belle immediately let go of my hand as soon as Matthew and Winter left the coffee shop. We really intended to hold each other's hand when we saw them at Elisse's school.

"You're an idiot. Do you really think they won't suspect us? You were obviously lying a while ago." she said to me.

"Oh, really? Who do you think was more obvious between the two of us? You were even stuttering while talking to them. I was the one who convinced them in the end."

She took a sip of her coffee and averted her gaze from me. "I just don't know how to lie to him. He knows I never had a boyfriend before, of course, he would be surprised if I tell him I already have one when I just admitted my feelings for him."

"The same thing with me. I even told Winter last time that I will go to Japan to move on from her. Yeah, I know it's a crazy idea and it's impossible for them to believe our pretention. But, what else can they do, right? For sure they'll give up being suspicious as long as we keep going."

"What's your next plan?"

I leaned on my chair and thought for a while. "Well, I think the first step that we should do is to convince them that we love each other until there's no doubt left."

"And what do you mean by that? Do we have to kiss in front of them just for them to believe us?" she asked sarcastically.

"We already did worse than that, so what's a kiss? If that would convince them, then we'll do it."

I noticed her cheeks burned slightly when I mentioned about what happened between us that night.

"Belle. You should always remember that we're doing this for ourselves. We are just two desperate people who wants to take what's supposed to be ours."

"I-I know that. But you should promise me one thing."

"What is it?"

"This pretention shouldn't intervene with my job. Before planning, you should consult me and my schedule. You can't just call me and ask me to come without considering my schedule."

I nodded my head. "Don't worry, I'll make sure not to meddle with your personal life and job. We will just meet each other when it is needed for the plan. Besides, I am also busy since I own a restaurant and I am a celebrity at the same time. Let's just see each other as business partners."

I stretched my hand towards her and she reached for it then we did a handshake. After that, she already stood up gathering her things with her.

"I should be going now." she said.

"I'll drive you home."

"No need to. Besides, Matthew and Winter aren't here anymore."

I nodded my head in agreement. "Okay. Then you should just take care. By the way, thank you for agreeing with this. Thank you for accepting to be my partner and fake girlfriend."

"You don't have to thank me. Both of us will benefit from the result of this plan, anyway." she said before leaving the coffee shop.

I followed her with my eyes until she stepped inside a cab.

Actually, I don't even know what else should we do next to convince Winter and Matthew. I am so sure that they weren't convinced a while ago and Winter will surely confront me one of these days. I know her, she won't stop until she finds out the truth.

I just wish she will believe our pretention and won't suspect us anymore.

It will be hard since Belle and I barely even know each other, but for sure we will get used to it since we have same goal.

I can't lose Winter, not again. And I will do whatever it takes just to get her back and make her realize that she belongs to me. Even if that means I have to break their current relationship.
