Chapter 55: Chapter 55

Seraphina Redgrave tried to reach for the front seat but was blocked by Ethan Sterling.

Then let’s die together.

Seraphina’s eyes gradually turned cold, and at the moment she was about to be thrown out, she used all her strength to dive into Ethan’s arms, gripping his clothes tightly.

Ethan was momentarily stunned by the beauty suddenly pouncing into his arms. He glanced down, seeing Seraphina with her eyes tightly shut, hands gripping his waist’s clothing, her fragrance lingering at his nose.

As the car occasionally jolted, Seraphina’s warm and gentle body was nestled even deeper.

Ethan couldn’t help but stiffen slightly, gazing deeply into Seraphina’s eyes.

This little thing is really interesting, not deliberate, yet always making his heart sway.

Ethan reached out, gently hooking Seraphina’s hair, making her lift her head.

The next second, in a car that could crash at any moment, Ethan lowered his head and kissed his Little Rose, forcefully claiming with lips and teeth, his hand dominantly holding Seraphina’s nape, eyes filled with deep desire.

Seraphina was completely bewildered, wanting to retreat but was tightly held by the man.

Ethan held the woman firmly in his embrace, intensifying the kiss upon feeling Seraphina’s struggle, until the woman in his arms couldn’t help but slap his broad shoulders, making him slightly gentler.

He reached back to grip the car handle, holding Seraphina’s thin waist steadily with one hand, unfazed by the strong airflow.

No one knew how much time passed, and the hairs on Seraphina’s exposed arms stood up from the cold wind, her lipstick smeared messily, only then did Ethan move his lips away from hers.

Gazing at Seraphina’s dazed expression, Ethan spoke leisurely, "That’s enough."

The driver instantly understood, and the car speed slowed down.

The airflow was still present but wasn’t as fierce as before.

Ethan watched Seraphina’s black and white eyes, slowly approaching her.

Seraphina gritted her teeth, wondering if this pervert intended to do something to her in the car?

She was already pinned against the back seat, slowly gathering strength, preparing to strike him in a vital spot when Ethan got too close.

Instead, Ethan merely pulled back the car door.

Silence filled the car in an instant.

The strong airflow vanished without a trace.

Everything returned to normal.

Seraphina was stunned, her raised leg frozen.

Ethan didn’t immediately get up but maintained that odd position, looking at Seraphina with interest in his eyes, "Was it fun?"

Seraphina stared at him, and after a moment, slowly curled her lips into an innocent, naive smile directed at Ethan.

Ethan watched Seraphina’s intentionally foolish demeanor with a teasing laugh, brushing aside her wind-tousled hair, "Seems like my Little Rose found it enjoyable. Want to play some more?"

Just because I smiled doesn’t mean I found it amusing!

Inside, Seraphina gritted her teeth, almost ready to drop the act and give him a beating.

"Young Master Sterling, we’re here."

Nathan Ayers’s voice emerged, interrupting the conversation in the back seat.

Ethan sat up leisurely, beginning to straighten his clothes, while Seraphina also sat up, adjusting her wind-ruffled dress, silently inching away from Ethan.

"Who said you could move away from me? Hmm?"

Seraphina feigned confusion, with a look of "I don’t know what you’re talking about."

"Are you really not going to behave?"

Ethan’s expression changed, moving closer again.

Remembering the reckless scene in the car earlier, Seraphina couldn’t help but feel annoyed and stopped resisting to avoid provoking this lunatic again.

Ethan pulled Seraphina closer, then leaned on her to open a tablet, reviewing documents while waiting for the car to park in the gallery.

Forced to play the role of a human backrest, Seraphina contemplated how likely she could pull off acting absurd in the finals to humiliate Ethan without getting beaten.

On the most prosperous street of Sovereign stood the world’s largest art gallery—The Westmoore Art Gallery.

The Star Burning Cup was set to commence here.

Now, countless super sports cars were parked outside the gallery, waiting to enter.

All finalists and distinguished guests needed to walk the red carpet at the gallery’s entrance.

Numerous uniformed, well-trained men maintained order outside.

The media was poised, ready to publish the first-hand reports.

Mia Redgrave sat in the Redgrave Family’s car, as the driver steadily parked it in front of the red carpet. She opened the car door, exuding the air of a little princess.

Today, she brought her work with her, with the aim of being invited as an honored guest by Ethan Sterling. Naturally, she couldn’t attend with Leo Lynch, so the person accompanying her could only be Jonathan Redgrave. ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ novèlfire.net

After stepping out of the car, the reporters swarmed over, her strapless black gown outshining the crowd.

Jonathan Redgrave reached out to protect Mia.

"Wow! Mia looks wonderful today. Is she here for the Star Burning Cup?" a reporter asked.

Mia slightly curled her lip but said nothing.

Jonathan laughed warmly, protecting Mia as he spoke to the reporters, "Mona brought her work today. It was just something she painted casually while studying. Unexpectedly, it made a run for the gold award, so I came along to see the excitement."

"Miss Redgrave is amazing; she can paint?"

The media buzzed with excitement, knowing that only four paintings could be selected online to compete for the Star Burning Cup’s gold award had already proved her skill.

"It’s just a hobby outside of the curriculum. I’m still far from competing with the masters."

Mia remained courteous.

"So impressive!" another journalist exclaimed. "Miss Redgrave has so many skills! I’ve seen you excel in many extracurricular activities before, and now with a new interest, you’ve reached the Star Burning Cup finals. You’re so talented!"

"Looking at the past rumors, they must be false. Mia is so busy managing both studies and hobbies, there’s no time for trivial matters."

Almost everyone present was a fan of Mia.

Mia loved being in the spotlight and smiled even more brightly.

As reporters were enthusiastically praising her, a squad of skilled men rushed from the gallery, clearing the disorganized crowd on the roadside.

Soon, a series of supercars drove through the newly cleared road, with the leading car stopping at the end of the red carpet.

"Whose car is this? So overbearing?"

A reporter realized and began shouting, "It’s Ethan Sterling!"

Mia’s full attention was drawn.

The whole crowd of reporters gasped, leaving no one to care about Mia and Jonathan as they rushed towards Ethan’s car.

Bodyguards blocked the frenzied reporters.

Mia remained still, staring fixedly at the car at the end of the red carpet.

The host’s CEO stepped out from the venue, respectfully opening the car door for Ethan.

A pair of long legs appeared before everyone’s eyes, as a noble and aloof man emerged from the supercar.

Exiting the car, Ethan’s eyes were icy, his face expressionless, but the aura around him was impossible to ignore.
