"Rebecca, the dress is back from the laundry," Julia shouted coming into her room as Rebecca was inside the bathroom.

But soon she got replies from Rebecca from the inside, "Put the dress bag on my bed, Julia. I'm coming!"

"Alright!" Julia shouted back and did as she was told.

She put the dress bag on Rebecca's bed and sat beside it, waiting for Rebecca to come out. And soon the bathroom door opened and Rebecca came into the view with a confused look on her face.

Her wet hair is wrapped in a towel while she is in a long summer dress.

She immediately first checks on the bag before moving her eyes with a questioning gaze on Julia.

"Julia, Why did they send the dress back?" She raised a question.

Julia sighed and mumbled," Because for them the dress is super expensive and they can't take a risk to clean it."

"What?" Rebecca's face frowned to hear their reason.

"Yes, the laundry staff came with a bag personally and told me they can't do that," Julia added.

Rebecca felt disappointed because she wanted to send it after cleaning it.

"Then why did they take the dress in the first place when I went there in the early morning?" She inquired.

Julia looked at her and replied," Because the staff, who takes the dress, is a new worker and doesn't know about dress quality. The owner told me this when I asked the same question."

Rebecca felt speechless. She thought to send it with dry cleaning but now she needs to change her mind and send it directly.

When she was between her thoughts, Julia's voice made her come back to reality," Rebecca, do you truly need to send the dress back?"

Rebecca's brows arched.

"What do you mean?"

Julia responded," I mean, didn't Mr.Edwin tell you. It's your gift. Then why can't you just take it?"

Rebecca realized her meaning and said," But I can't take it, Julia. It's expensive and I can't afford this dress even if I work my whole life. I can't take anything from my boss. It's not the right thing."

"But what if he liked you and just wanted to gift this dress to you as a love token?" Julia wrapped her arms around her chest and looked at her friend with raising brows.

Rebecca's lips pressed tightly for a second but soon she replied back with a strict voice," Julia, you are thinking too much. It's not like that."

"Are you sure?" Julia raised her voice.

Rebecca's eyelashes flickered with hesitation. She doesn't know clearly if he liked her or not. But the way he treated her, she can't deny it, she felt there is something change in him.

"See! You can't answer me!" Julia smirked playfully.

Rebecca blinked her eyes nervously and said hiding her inner thoughts.

"No, you are just imagining the thing, Julia. Now stop this talk. We need to go to the office also. Don't forget that." She went to the cupboard side and started searching for something.

Julia understood she was just trying to avoid her, so she didn't speak more and sighed helplessly in the end, before saying the last line," Alright, if you don't want to hear about it. I'm not going to talk more." Soon after completing her words, she left her alone.

"Good morning, Mr.Edwin." She greeted Edwin as soon as she entered his cabin.

Edwin's eyes were already focused on her bag but hearing her sweet voice, he looked at her and nodded, greeting back.

"Good morning you too, Miss Rebecca. I hope you are not feeling tired." He gave a polite smile at the end of the sentence.

Rebecca immediately replied back," No. I'm fine. Mr.Edwin."

"Good to hear that," Edwin added.

Rebecca nodded and fell silent.

Edwin got curious to see her still standing there. While she always just goes back to her cabin after greeting him. So, he finally asked, breaking the silence.

"Miss Rebecca, Is there anything more you want to say?" He inquired while his fingers interconnected with each other. And his eyes focused on her face, waiting for her to say something.

Rebecca's hand clenched on the bag straps which she was carrying with her. Hearing him asking, she looked at the bag and then at him.

She wanted to give the dress back, but at the same time, she didn't want him to be angry by any chance. She hopes he understands her words and takes the dress back.

Not hearing for a long minute from her, he called her name again.

"Miss Rebecca, What are you thinking? And what is in your hand?" He asked, moving his eyes to the bag and then her.

Rebecca comes to her senses and immediately meets his eyes.

Edwin's calm stares made her go with her plan and suddenly she walked towards his table.

Edwin silently looked at her all the time. While she put the bag on his table.

"What is inside this bag?" Edwin asked with curiosity.

Rebecca blinked her eyes nervously as she responded with a hesitant tone," Mr.Edwin, In this bag I got back the party gown which you gave me to wear."

Edwin's brows arched.

"What?"

Hearing his shocking tone, Rebecca felt nervous and soon tried to explain, "Mr. Edwin, I'm sorry. But I truly can't accept this expensive gift. And for attending the party. I just fulfilled your wish. So, please accept the dress. I can't take this." She pushed the bag more closer to him.

Edwin looked at her with stunning eyes. He knew she was stubborn but this much. He never knew. He sighed inside his heart helplessly before giving her a calm look at last. Because he can see how nervous she was. And this is the last thing he wanted to see on her face.

She was head down standing in front of him.

Edwin couldn't help but asked her to raise her head and she did it the next minute.

Edwin looked at her with a small smile which made her a little taken back. But soon he speaks out.

"Miss Rebecca, don't be sorry."

"It's alright if you can't take it. I can understand. I'll send this dress back to the shop owner. You don't need to be nervous."

Rebecca couldn't believe everything solves this easily.

"Mr.Edwin." She wanted to be sure if he was saying this in calmness or anger.

But soon he answers her mind's thoughts also.

"Miss Rebecca, I'm serious. So, you need to doubt." He smirked out only to make her heart flutter wildly.

At last, Rebecca thanked him," Thank you, Mr.Edwin."

Edwin nodded and gave a small smile to her.

"It's fine. Now you should go and join your work."

Hearing him, she nodded and left the cabin with a big smile.

Edwin felt relieved to see her smiling. If sending back the dress smiling at her then he is happy to accept the dress back.
