Before Rebecca spoke up for herself, Edwin held her hand inside the table while his eyes darted on the black suit man.

Rebecca felt her heartbeat turn fast as soon as his warm hand touched her. She looked in Edwin's direction with almost shock but he looked at the man in front of him with coldness.

Everyone saw Edwin's twisted brows and felt the black suit man wanting his own death. Even after discovering Edwin's courtesy towards his secretary. He tried to provoke him with that woman. This is complete madness in front of them.

Rebecca felt him squeeze her hand lightly the next moment which means he was trying to make her feel that he would handle everything.

This small gesture made her feel too safe beside him that she could not stop herself but thanking him in her heart deeply and looking at him with tender and grateful eyes.

Her eyes for a second went in the black suit man's direction.

She could feel he is doing this just for vengeance but she can't say anything. All she can do is trust Edwin.

When everyone feels scared. Edwin's sharp eyes almost pierced the man.

"Mr.Baxi, So you mean to say if my secretary drinks alcohol with all of you! You feel respected?" Edwin's sharp and cold words made everyone's forehead sweat in their place. But the man in the black suit still smirked with arrogance.

While he continued with his arrogant words.

"Yes! You can say that Mr.Hutson!"

Edwin nodded and continued.

"If it is like that! Then I should apologize to all of you but my Secretary couldn't give you any respect. She's not going to drink!" He declared in a cold tone while his surroundings turned almost dangerous.

Everyone got scared. Even Rebecca could see anger in his eyes this time.

"And Mr.Baxi, I think you should learn how to be a gentleman because a gentleman never forced a woman to drink even after their rejection!" His last statement made everyone speechless and shudder in their place.

Edwin is not a hooligan who would fight with his opponent. But he used his sharp words to kill them in a toxic way. Without even touching them.

Mr.Baxi felt too embarrassed to hear his words and stopped his talk while now down his head with regret.

Seeing all this, Rebecca couldn't feel but admired Edwin in her heart. He is truly a gentleman. She thought in her mind while her lips curled up.

After the heavy conversation, everyone stopped talking. But one of the men tried to light the atmosphere.

"Mr.Hutson, please forgive Mr.Baxi! I hope you still agree to complete this meeting!"

Edwin looked at the man and nodded.

"Alright! But I don't like people who repeat their mistakes!" His words are like the last warning to everyone.

So, all the men looked in Mr. Baxi's direction with a warning.

Mr.Baxi knew now if he said one more thing, everyone would make him an enemy. So, he tried to fake a smile even though he was scared and looked at Rebecca- Edwin's side.

"Mr.Hutson! I apologize for making you angry!"

Then he turned his head towards Rebecca.

"Miss, please forgive me for my words!"

He looked scared.

Rebecca doesn't want to make things big so, she nodded.

After this, everyone again started with their business talk, with Edwin.

While Rebecca sighed and felt today's dinner was just too much for her to take.

A few minutes later, finally, the food come line by line.

As dinner was served, everyone tried to make the atmosphere light while all they did was business talk.

Edwin also joined them and Rebecca felt relieved.

After everyone got served with food on their plates, the waiter went back to their place and stood silently.

Rebecca looked at the bowl in front of her.

At first, they were all served with chicken- mushroom soup which everyone had already started to sip out.

Rebecca also took a spoon in her hand and felt the aroma was good but it did not look appetizing to her but she shook all her thoughts and finally took a mouthful of soup in her spoon.

She ate the first spoon comfortably and the second time was also good but as soon as she took the third bite she felt like throwing up. Her stomach started to hurt.

She looked at her surroundings where everyone was busy with their plates while she wanted to just stand and run to the washroom. But because it's a conference, she felt awkward leaving the scene.

She tried to make her belly rubbed to feel better. But it does not make any improvement.

She felt she badly wanted to throw up. If she had not stood now, she would do that here in front of everyone. At last, she couldn't restrain herself anymore and stood up from her chair immediately.

Her sudden action made everyone look in her direction.

Edwin's eyes also look at her while she speaks up in hurry.

"Excuse me, everyone! I need to attend a call!" Apart from this, she did not remember any other lie to make at this moment.

So, this is the only thing that could help her to leave.

After saying this, she took her phone and left even without waiting for Edwin who wanted to say something.

He saw her face. It didn't look too good, while her hand touched her belly when she left in a hurry in front of him.

As he saw that, his forehead lines deepened.

Everyone already gets their concentration back on their food.

A few moments later, Edwin also stood up from his chair feeling worried for Rebecca.

He feels something is wrong with her, and he needs to check it.

As he stood, everyone looked in his direction with confused stares.

"Excuse me, everyone! I need to call urgently! You all carry on with your dinner!" Edwin looked at them with a straight face while his hand tucked the two open buttons on his suit and left them with their meals.

As he left, everyone looked at each other, but no one said any words related to Edwin and finally concentrated on their meals.

As Rebecca came far from their stares, she stopped one of the random waitresses and asked her about the Washroom.

The waitress helped her with directions and She immediately went there.

After getting inside the washroom, she threw up whatever she ate the whole day and at last felt her neck burning and turned dry.

"Water!" She's taking a heavy breath while her stomach is still feeling worse.

She stood there for more minutes feeling that she needed to puke more. But after standing for a long time nothing happens.

She came out of the toilet and reached for the basin to wash her mouth and wipe it with tissues.

After washing, she comes out of the washroom feeling that it's a good thing to leave the conference for a long time.

But as soon as she closed the door behind her back and took a few steps, her eyes enlarged with stunned to see Edwin was already standing outside.

Many women who wanted to enter the washroom saw him with hostility while some women felt shy to see handsome men standing there. But Edwin silently looked at his watch. Without even glancing at them.

Rebecca could not help but feel awkward to see all these things.

When she was absorbing all these things, Edwin suddenly looked in her direction which made her heart thump.

Edwin's eyes looked at her softly while he instantly took a fast step towards her.

His hand touched her shoulders which made her cheeks heated.

"Rebecca, Are you alright? What happened? Did you feel pain in your belly?" He forgets to use 'Miss' again but it doesn't matter in this situation when he sees her pale face coming out of the washroom.

He knew something was wrong.

Rebecca doesn't know how to respond to him.

So, she just said," Mr.Edwin, I'm fine! There is nothing wrong with my belly!"

She's feeling uncomfortable in her heart with all this lie. But what can she do? This is the only solution she had.

Edwin felt she was telling a lie. He left her shoulder. As he did that, she continued.

"Mr.Edwin, did you come out to check on me?" Rebecca couldn't help but ask.

Edwin didn't feel like making excuses, so he just nodded at her words which made her touched.

"But Mr.Edwin, you come out like this, for me, what would they think?" She doesn't want to make others think something is going on between them. The boss left the dinner to check on his secretary.

She doesn't want to involve any type of gossip with her boss.

But Edwin didn't care about her words at all. He only cares about her and their baby. But he can't say this to her. So, he uses his boss card on her.

"It's not important to me what they would think! My employees come first from them!" His words were straight while his eyes met her.

Rebecca felt his words always made her heart melt, she instantly retreats her gaze from him.

"Now we should go! You can see, I'm fine!" She didn't make eye contact.

Edwin absorbed her action and without caring about anything touched her chin with his slender finger while raising her head to meet his eyes.

Rebecca blinked her eyes, while her face turned pinkish with his sudden action. She felt her heartbeat turn fast.

"Are you sure? Are you alright! If you don't have any issues, can we check the doctor?" Edwin's voice is soft while his eyes always hold tenderness for her.

"Doctor?" Rebecca's eyes widened to hear his words and she instantly backward herself from him.

Seeing her reaction, His forehead creased.

Suddenly, he realized he used the 'Doctor' word which is bad.

She's not going to agree with him to go for a check-up. He knew it. But silly him, he forgets about it.

Her pregnancy was secret.

On the other side, Rebecca felt her reaction made him frown. So, she tried to explain her reaction.

"Mr.Edwin, I'm completely fine! There is no reason for you to worry too much about me!" She tried to show a small smile generously.

Edwin doesn't want to make her worry. So, he nodded.

"Alright, let's go!" He said and turned to go back.

Rebecca sighed in relief and started following him, but after only a few steps, her stomach again started paining. She held her belly while she felt she urgently needed to throw up again.

Her one hand pressed against her mouth.

Edwin who already started walking just turned to look at her but saw her standing at the same place. While she's not looking fine.

He felt worried and instantly walked fast towards her.

He held her arm and asked in concern.

"What happened? Do you feel pain in your belly?" He looked at her hand which rested on her belly.

Rebecca felt his arm holding her tightly, while she waited to run towards the bathroom.

Even though she wanted to throw up, she tried to speak up in a lower voice.

"Mr. Edwin...let me g...o!" She tried to release herself.

Edwin's brows arched, he couldn't understand her words completely.

"What are you saying?" He tried to ask.

Rebecca felt she couldn't hold herself anymore, and before she could try to push him. She just threw up on his expensive suit.

Edwin's eyes widened with shock to realize what just happened.
