After she looked calm, Edwin tried to start a conversation.

"I think you should rest at home. I can attend the dinner conference alone."

Edwin's eyes focused on her while hearing his words she arched her brows and spoke out.

"Mr.Edwin, but I don't need any rest. Now I'm fine and I can go." Rebecca doesn't want to make the incident big and she thinks she doesn't get injured or any pain in her body. It means she is completely fine. To do her task.

Edwin's forehead creased. He felt she was trying to look strong for her job. And he wanted to make her rest. Not to do any task.

"But I don't think so. You should rest Miss Rebecca! And this is my final order" He denied her directly using his boss position.

Hearing him, she hesitated for a moment to say anymore but still, she didn't stop herself but tried last time to take him back his decision.

"Mr.Edwin, thank you for thinking about me but I'm completely fine."

Edwin stared at her with seriousness while she continued hiding her nervousness.

"Mr.Edwin, you can see I don't get any injuries. It means I can do my daily tasks like a regular. Yes, I did cry that incident time but it was just for a panic. That's it."

"As a boss, you already take care of me and for that thank you but now let me do my work as your employee. I need to do my duty!" Rebecca's eyes turned serious. She looked determined.

Edwin couldn't help but sigh in his heart. This woman truly got him to make him agree with her even though he was worried for her health.

"Alright! If you truly think you are fine! I'll not go to stop you! " He calmly said.

Rebecca's lips curled up to hear yes from him.

"Thank you, Mr.Edwin!" She thanked him while he nodded.

"We will leave on time!" He instructed.

"Alright!" Rebecca replied while he turned back to leave.

But suddenly, Rebecca remembered about the suit and could not help but be crushed herself.

"Ohh shit!" She whispered slowly not to be heard by Edwin. But still, he heard that and stopped in his way.

He turned and looked at Rebecca's frown face.

"What happened? Miss Rebecca?" His voice made her raise her head and meet his curious eyes.

She thought for a second before telling him about the suit.

"Mr.Edwin, I arranged a fresh suit for you to attend the dinner conference but that bag was still in the corridor!" Rebecca explained.

Ethan remembers that she had a big black bag in her hand when she was in the corridor. Now he understands where she left when he was looking for her.

"Miss Rebecca, You don't need to think about my suit. I'll ask the other staff to bring that!"

His words made her sigh in relief.

"Alright!" She nodded.

While he nodded back and turned to the left but just after a few steps. He stopped on his way and turned his body.

Rebecca's brows arched to see him again turn towards her.

"Mr.Edwin, is there something…"

"Miss Rebecca, from now on you don't need to take care of my personal belongings or those which are not related to business tasks!" His voice is calm and composed. His features looked sharp while his eyes never left her face when he said those words.

Rebecca's forehead creased to hear his words and she stood up from the couch.

"Mr.Edwin, did I make any mistake or is it because I left the bag in the corridor?" Her voice filled with doubts. Her eyes tried to find his real reason through his reaction. But she couldn't get any expression from him.

On the other side, the way she made faces, he felt it was cute to look at her.

"No, Because you are my secretary, not a maid." His eyes darted on her while she was stunned to hear his words.

"So, you don't need to do other tasks for me! I hope now you got it!" Edwin completed his words and smiled slightly before turning back to leave her cabin.

Rebecca felt her heartbeat turn again fast. While her eyes looked at his broad back.

As she saw him finally leave the cabin and closed the door, she sat back on the couch lazily and took a long breath.

Her head went down and her eyes looked at her belly.

She rewinds in her mind what just happened in the corridor and felt protective for her child.

Her hands one by one rested on her belly and she deeply sighed while feeling apologetic towards the baby.

"Baby, I'm sorry!"

"I'm truly sorry baby!"

"I know, you should be scared at that time when that happens! Just like me!"

Her voice turned soft and tender while she focused on her belly. Her hand creased it. She continued her talk.

"Because of mom's mistake today you got in big danger! You should be angry with mom!"

She bit her lower lips while she added.

"But please! Please baby! believe your mama!"

"She truly loves you, baby!"

"Mama only has you in this big world. So, there is no way she's gonna put you at risk, even her own dream." Her eyes turned soft.

"And thanks to God and Edwin Sir that you are still safe and healthy within me!"

"If he does not come today at the right time, I don't know how I will face myself and you!" Her voice was a little broken and tears came down but she immediately wiped it off while continuing with her talks.

"But baby! Today I promised you! Mom's going to protect you on every step from now on."

"She will not ignore any single thing which could harm you! Or make you leave your mom!"

"Just remember that! Mom loves you so much baby and is waiting for you every single day!"

Rebecca didn't realize but every single word of her was heard from the opposite side of the cabin door by Edwin who was still standing outside and peeking at her from the little open door.

He wanted to leave but suddenly he heard her start talking with their child and he couldn't help but hear her words.

And after hearing it, he was glad to hear that. His lips little curled up with a damn satisfaction of her view and her cute conversation with their unborn child.

He just wishes that he could also share the talk with his baby one day.
