"Rebecca, as you are going to work with my son, Edwin! I want to share some thoughts with you!" Mr.Hutson looked at her with a little serious face.

Rebecca felt a little upset to hear that Mr.Hutson is not going to be her boss anymore but she was glad that he is finally going to live his life relaxing.

"Yes, Uncle!" She responded.

"Rebecca. My son looked cold from outside but he had a warm heart. He is just not as open-hearted as me. He hides his real feelings so perfectly."

Rebecca listens carefully.

"He can be rude sometimes but it's all just because of his passion for work. That's it! He doesn't like lazy people who don't complete their work on time or hide things."

Rebecca clinched her first under the table. She thought about pregnancy. She's also hiding something.

"In reality, my son is just like a coconut. From the outside, he is hard but inside he is soft."

Rebecca felt hesitant in her heart to think about her pregnancy thing while Mr.Hutson continued his words.

"Yes, he is strict but at the same time, he is kind also. He is a great son and boss!" Mr. Hutson's eyes turned tender while he explained to her about Edwin.

Rebecca awkwardly smiled feeling guilty.

"Rebecca tries to understand him and I'm sure! With you, he will be more open-hearted with time! And you both could be a good match for each other!" Mr.Hutson laughed while his last words made Rebecca confused.

"Good match?" She asked.

Mr.Hutson realized what he just said and tried to repent it.

"I...I mean as a boss and employee!" He coughed faking and then laughed.

Rebecca understood and nodded at last.

"I understood, uncle! I'll try my best to not disappoint Mr.Edwin with my work!"

Mr.Hutson nodded with a satisfied face.

"Good! I trust you, Dear!"

"With you staying here with Edwin. I'm relaxed!"

Mr.Hutson looked at her with a big smile.

"My Boss is so hard on me!!!!" Julia sat on the couch and shouted with frustration.

Rebecca sighed to hear the same words

from her friend's mouth for the ninth time.

"Julia, that's because your department is working on a big project which the files need to submit next week." Rebecca looked at her with irritation.

"Rebecca!" Julia's face frowned.

"Don't take my boss's side!"

"Who's your friend? Me or my boss?" She glared at her with anger but her reaction made Rebecca chuckle hardly.

"Of course y…"

Julia looked at her seriously and waited for her to finish her words.

"Your boss!" Rebecca teasingly completed her words.

"Rebecca!" Julia yelled.

Rebecca laughed to see her angry.

"I'll not talk to you anymore!" Julia announced.

Rebecca sighed to see how stupid her friend was.

"Julia, I'm just joking!" She tried to explain but Julia pouted her lips.

"I don't like your jokes!" She responded.

"Did you hear baby, your Godmother doesn't want to talk to me anymore!" Rebecca touched her belly and looked down at it while peeking at Julia.

Julia bit her lips and couldn't stop but smile hear her words.

"Don't try to use my baby!!!" Julia shouted, throwing the pillow on her.

Rebecca catches the pillow and laughs.

"I can! Because I'm a mom!!" Rebecca winked while Julia rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, both of their phones beep at the same time.

"Who could be sending us a message at the same time?" Julia raised her brows.

"Just check it! You will know!" Rebecca responded while going to grab the phone from the table.

Julia sighed and went to check on her phone.

As she saw the sender's name. She rolled her eyes.

"It's from the company!" She looked at Rebecca.

"Same for me!" Rebecca answered and turned to her.

"Let's check it!" Julia said and looked through her email while Rebecca did the same.

"Ohhh my gosh!!!" Julia's eyes enlarged.

She raised her head and looked at Rebecca's expression which was still calm.

"Rebecca, is this true? President finally retired from his post and from next week Mr.Edwin Hutson is going to be our boss!" Julia's eyes turned serious.

Rebecca looked at her friend's expression and nodded calmly.

"Yes, it's true! Mr.Hutson informed me today!" Rebecca answered.

"Wow! That's a big surprise!" Julia chuckled which made Rebecca frown.

"Are you that happy?"

"Because of the President's retirement?"

"No!!! It's not like that!" Julia replied instantly.

"I'm just happy because finally, we can see our young and handsome boss every day!" Julia explained with sparkling eyes.

Rebecca shook her head with astonishing hearing her words.

"Julia, you are truly incredible!" Rebecca said it and put back the phone on the table.

Before stepping towards her room.

Julia didn't take her words at all and thought to chat with her office mates for some big gossip.

This is breaking news for everyone.

Rebecca takes a quick shower with warm water and comes out with fresh clothes.

She sat on the bed and looked at her phone with some hesitation.

After she talked with Mr.Hutson this afternoon, she started to miss her dad so much.

It has been many weeks now since she last talked to him.

She took a long breath and then started to stretch her fingers on the phone screen. A few seconds later there are ten-digit numbers shown on it.

She dialed her father's number but pressing the 'call button' was too much for her.

"What would she say to her dad?"

"Did he already get news about her leaving home?"

"Did he believe his stepfamily's words and start to hate her?"

"Did he try to find her just like the last time?"

So many questions are going on in her mind but no answer could be guessed at all. Until she called her dad!

She looked at the screen for a few seconds and then tears approached her eyes.

She misses dad but hates the fact that there is nothing to talk about. She can only hope her dad will be safe all the time.
