“I’m so happy. Finally, you are going back home.” Julia happily packed all the small things and medicine in the bag from the table.

Rebecca’s lips curled up to hear her friend. She nodded slowly, “Same for me.” Julia smiled in return.

Both friends were in mid-conversation when suddenly the ward’s door opened with a knock and the nurse showed up with a file in her hand, “The discharging papers are ready. We need a family member to sign these papers.”

Hearing that Julia instantly responded, “Yeah, Sure,” She stood from the chair.

However, before she walked, Edwin’s voice caught all their attention as he declared, “I’ll sign the papers.”

With the nurse, Rebecca and Julia looked in Edwin's direction who was standing at the door with Sam beside him. Julia's lips curled up to hear that while Rebecca’s eyes looked at him with a stunned gaze to hear him but Edwin the other side flashed a proud smile in her direction which made her cheeks blush the next moment lightly.

Julia's brows raised with interest to see their lovey-dovey interaction coincidentally and made her mind to enjoy the show without getting in it.

Sam also noticed that and glanced in Julia’s direction with an eye gesture if she noticed that too, in which response, she showed a playful smile.

Edwin walks to the nurse while Sam walks to Juila’s beside and looked at Rebecca, “How are you, Rebecca?” To which Rebecca gently smiled and responded, “Good.”

Sam nodded and congratulated her on her discharge.

When Sam came with Edwin last time, Rebecca requested him to call informally, so he now used to call her by her name.

“Sister, give me papers. I’ll sign.” Edwin extended his hand to get the papers.

“Sir, may I ask you what your relationship with patients is? I need to feel the relative details before you sign.”

Edwin glanced at Rebecca and met her eyes which looked at him with deep stares. He could guess she wanted to know how he would answer.

His corner lips raised as he snapped his stare from her and looked at the nurse with a professional smile, “I’m her boyfriend.”

Rebecca’s mouth half opened with surprise and her complete face turned red. On the other side, Julia and Sam’s smiles turned wider to hear him and they both looked at each other with satisfied expressions before turning to look in Rebecca’s direction with delighted smiles.

However, seeing the pair smiling, her face felt more embarrassed and she tried to look in a different direction.

“Alright.” The nurse nodded and filled in his identity before giving him a paper to sign.

Edwin read his name in the papers with a satisfied face and for a second raised his head a little to see blushing Rebecca’s side with a playful smirk. But Rebecca was all looking at the bedsheet with shyness.

He signed the papers and the nurse walked off from the ward to submit the paper.

“Now, Everything is done. Let’s go home.” Edwin put one hand in his pocket as he looked in Rebecca’s direction.

She finally raised her head and looked at him to nod shyly.

She still feels a little embarrassed about how he announced he is her boyfriend in front of others and Julia is now ready to tease her the whole day after they get home back, she knew it a hundred per cent the way she was smiling beside her.

When they all leave the hospital, Julia pushes Rebecca to sit with Edwin in his car while she will come with Sam in his car.

At first, Rebecca denied but watching how Edwin silently looked at her side, she finally agreed.

Now two couples got in their car. First Edwin and Rebecca drove while Sam and Julia drove behind them.

IN THE CAR

Edwin silently focused on driving while Rebecca was busy looking outside. However, a long traffic jam finally made them look at each other and start the conversation until the road cleared.

“Rebecca, are you upset with me?” Edwin’s question made Rebecca frown, “No, Why do you think that?”

Edwin meets her gaze and responds, “I introduced myself to your boyfriend without getting your permission and you also refused to get into my car after that…” He did not continue but Rebecca understood.

Her face turned calm and her eyes focused on his serious expression when he said all these words.

Seeing him so concerned about her feelings, she thought about all his past efforts for her and after a minute of silence, she finally answered him “Edwin, What if I say, I'm never angry with you. Your words… It’s not upsetting me but…” She took a deep breath, “But it made me smile, made me happy with blush.”

Edwin's eyes softened while all he focused on her further words.

“Edwin, It made me feel like many butterflies were flying together inside my belly at that moment. You did many things for me and I can see that. How can I be upset with you?”

“What do you say? If I tell you…” She shrugged for a moment with hestiation.

“That…That I want you to be my real partner, not only in words.” Rebecca's heart was beating at this moment so fast when she confessed in front of him, “What if I tell you, I want to give our relationship a chance.” Her voice turned softer while her eyes on him.

On the other side, Edwin’s eyes turned redder, but before he could react or say anything to her, the road was clear and horn sounds made him drive again without speaking anything.

He sped up to go to some empty place and stopped. Rebecca silently watches him nervously. She knew he was waiting for her whole time to hear that, but the way he did not respond, she felt tense. However, as soon as the car stopped, Edwin without turning his head asked, “Are you serious? Do you really want to start fresh with me?” his voice turned heavy and husky.

Rebecca could sense his heavy breath at this moment so she responded with a calm tone, to show him, she is serious, “Yes, Edwin, I’m ready to...”

Before she could end her words Edwin released his seat belt and moved to her direction and kissed her lips.

Rebecca felt stunned for a moment, but when he pressed on her lips softly, she automatically started to give a response and kiss him back.

“Gosh, Where are they?”

“It has been half an hour. Why did they not arrive? Didn't they leave the hospital before us?” Julia confusedly asked while trying Rebecca’s phone which showed out of network.

“Come on Julia, They are not kids. They will come. We should go inside until then.” Sam chuckled to see his girlfriend behave like Rebecca’s mother.

“Yeah, I know, But she just left the hospital and they both did not pick up their call. I’m just worried.” Julia explained.

Sam walks to her and touches her shoulders, “I know, but boss is with her. Your friend is safe. I can guarantee.”

Julia nodded, “I know but after getting through so many incidents, I'm just a little worried.”

“It’s okay. I can feel you.” Saying that Sam hugged her which she accepted warmly.

However, before they continue to talk, Edwin’s car horn disturbs them.

“Who’s horning?” Sam and Julia parted from each other and looked in the car direction to find Rebecca and Edwin in there.

“Boss and Rebecca,” Sam smiled while Julia breathed out in relief.

Edwin parks the car and comes out first and then walks to the passenger seat to open the door for her.

Rebecca with red cheeks comes out and walks together with Edwin.

“Rebecca,” Juli went to her, “Why did you take so long to reach and what happened to your phone? I tried so many times.”

Rebecca looked in Edwin's direction, who was smiling with a satisfied face while she awkwardly looked at Julia and told, “There was a traffic jam and the phone, I think, it’s out of battery that’s why it’s not connected.” She hurriedly speaks which made Edwin chuckle harder inside his mind.

However, Julia frowned and did stop asking, “Traffic jam? But we don’t get any traffic while coming. Which route did you use to come here?”

Rebecca's lips pressed tightly while Edwin enjoyed the show. At this moment Sam comes in front of Rebecca’s rescue who senses something is happening between them, “Julia!” He held her arm.

“I think you can ask all the questions later. Rebecca needs rest for now. Don’t you think so?” Sam’s words made Julia instantly agree with him.

“Yeah, You are right, Let’s go inside first.” She takes Rebecca’s arm.

They all walk together inside the apartment.
