“Ms. Wilson, how are you feeling? Do you feel anyhow uncomfortable anywhere?” Doctor asked while checking on her hand’s nerves and the nurse beside him holding her regular report.

Rebecca slowly raised her head to see the doctor's side and nodded slowly, “No, doctor. I’m fine.”

“That’s good. Your report is also come out well, so you do not need to take any type of worry. Just rest well.” He flashes a polite smile and puts down her hand on the bed.

She nodded to his words and thanked him, “Thank you, Doctor.”

After the doctor left, they sent her general ward.

Julia went first to check on her.

When she entered the ward, she saw her friend weakly lying on the bed while her eyes focused on the open window direction with a lost gaze.

“Rebecca…” Her tone filled with pain when she called out her name to get her attention on her.

While Rebecca soon turned her head to the door direction to hear Julia’s voice and instantly her lost expression turned emotional and her voice come out to call her name with the same pain, “Julia…” Her tears fall from her eyes at this moment.

They both truly share soul-sister bonds anyone could see that.

Julia instantly walked to her side and bent down to hold her hand lightly, she literally started sobbing and her voice almost turned heavier with emotion, “Babe, Thank god, you are alright.”

‘I thought, I almost lost my friend. You don’t know…” Her voice shook and her body trembled, “How much I was scared when I found a home in a mess and you were nowhere to be found.”

Rebecca's eyelashes flickered as her eyes turned moist to hear her, “Julia…” She tried to comfort her but Julia continued her words not letting her speak, “Rebecca…You should be angry with me. Isn’t it?”

“No. I’m not.” Rebecca shook her head.

“Why not?” Julia argued wiping her tears.

“If I picked up your call at the right moment, it never happened with you in the first place, and most importantly…I just do not need to leave you alone. It’s my fault.” She sniffed.

Rebecca could not see her blaming any longer and shook her head, trying to respond to her, “No, Julia. It’s not your fault. Stop thinking like that. I’m fine and that is what matters. We are fine (She and the Baby). Stop blaming yourself every time.”

“No Rebecca, somehow it’s my fault. I should attend your call. But I just lost in my own happiness.”

Hearing that Rebecca's face frowned slightly, “Julia, I already told you, it’s not your fault. Stop thinking all this or else, I’ll think, I need to go away far from you because your life also started to affect in presence of me.”

Julia shook her head in denial, “What are you talking?”

“No Rebecca, it’s not your fault. Don’t think that!”

Rebecca sighed to hear her and added, “Then you should also think, it’s just an incident.”

Julia felt speechless to see how strong her friend turned out to be after suffering so much.

“I’m sorry to make you feel like that.” Julia finally understood her words.

“Me too, Julia…” Rebecca flash a warm smile to her at last when the nurse come and told Julia, her time is over to meet.

Julia takes a moment from a nurse and reports to Rebecca about Nick who was sent to prison by Edwin and has no chance to get out of this life while how he tried everything to get her back.

She even informed about how Edwin used underworld power also and spends millions only to get her whereabouts details.

Julia also informed Rebecca that Sam is the one who told her all this last night while he drive her home from the hospital.

Rebecca’s heart melts to hear all this.

Half an hour later, Edwin got his chance to meet Rebecca, and when they meet… A big silence takes place in the ward.

However, he finally started the conversation first.

“How are you feeling?” his tone turned softer while he was sitting on a chair, beside her bed.

Rebecca took a moment to look at him and his appearance and noticed how much he looks tired while his under eyes got dark circles which she never saw before. Anyone could guess, he was sleepless the whole time. His beard also started visibly which always cleanly shaved without any single hair showing.

While for clothes, it was all wrinkled and a mess of dirt could be seen on his suit jacket. It just shows he did not rest even for a single second and he was all searching for her as soon as he found her missing. His forehead lines were still visible with concern while his eyes stared at her injury. Watching and sensing all this, she almost verges to cry feeling touched by his unconditional love and care for her and their baby.

She felt too emotional finally getting someone in her life except Julia and her dad for whom her life is valuable, for whom, she is his world.

He did not need to say romantic words to explain to her how much he adore her because his every single action was just like a confession to her and showed her how much he care for her, how much he loves her. How much he is trying to protect her from evil people.

At last, today he also proved he can bet everything of his to only make her protect.

“Rebecca, do you feel pain anywhere?” Hearing his worried tone, she get out of her deep thoughts and looked at him in chaos, “Huh?”

His forehead lined visible to see her loss and asked, “Rebecca, what happened? What are you thinking that you are crying?” his finger moved to her cheeks and wipe out her tears. Only then she realized, she almost crying without even knowing.

“It’s nothing. I'm just happy to see you.” Her words melt his heart, his eyes soon get back his emotions to turned tender and the next moment he leaned to kiss her on the forehead which she accept dearly closing her eyes.

“Me Too.” He whispered out at last parting his lips from her forehead.

She smiled gently, while tears roll down from the corner which Edwin shortly wiped out for her and smiled back.
