Chapter 203: Chapter 203
NEXT DAY
AFTERNOON
"Surprise!" Julia shouted with a big cheerful voice as soon as Rebecca opened the main door.
"Julia?" Rebecca's lips raised with a big smile as she saw her standing in front of her.
"Babe!" Julia opened her arms and walked towards her to give her a huge hug. While Rebecca happily welcomes her and hugs her back.
"How did you get here in the afternoon?"
"I thought it would take an evening." Rebecca inquired as she released herself from the hug and looked at the wall clock direction where it was still 2 pm.
"It's all because I'm fast." She winked in her direction, with a joke.
Rebecca rolled her eyes and mumbled teasingly, crossing her arms around her bust, "Yeah, you are the superwoman, aren't you?
Julia chuckled to see her reaction and finally asserted the main reason, "Actually, the train is earlier than the time just like yesterday. So, I take the early way to get back here."
"That's good. Now you can take some rest before going on a date with Sam."
"Yeah, you are right. The train journey is body sore. I think I need some sleep." She yawned as soon as she speaks out those words.
"Okay, but at least eat something before that."
"No, I want to sleep and for a meal. I already ate on my way to coming here. So, I'm full." She clarified.
"Then you just go and rest. I'll wake up you at the right time for getting ready for your first date." Rebecca's corner lips raised as she tease her however, Julia raised her brows and warned, "Stop teasing me, Rebecca. I know, it's my first date."
To which she could not help but chuckle slightly and respond, "I'm not reading you. I'm just saying…"
But before she could complete her words Julia speaks up in the middle way, "Ha! Ha! Ha!...do I look like a fool?" She gave fake laugh to her and dramatically asserted.
Watching her like this, Rebecca could not help but chuckle out loud at last and replied in a joking tone, "No. You are a smart woman."
Only to get an angry reaction from her friend in response the next second, "Rebecca, no more jokes…or I'll go back home and you stay here alone."
"No, don't do that. I'll no more go to pull your legs."
"Good." Julia nodded with a victory smirk. While Rebecca smiles with a little joy at their funny conversation.
"You should go now. You only got two hours to get a good sleep."
"Okay, Madam. As you say." Julia murmured before walking towards her bedroom direction while Rebecca shook her head lightly with a smile thinking about their small talk.
.
.
Evening
"How do I look? Is it truly okay?" Julia asked Rebecca about her appearance in her new dress which they got for her date.
She was in little doubt about her look. She felt not sure if it was alright or if she needed to do something more.
She looked at herself in the mirror and tried to adjust her dress and hair while she felt her lipstick was not that good. While her hairstyle is not going with the dress.
It's all doubt making her somehow nervous and scared to make mistakes or destroy her first date.
She wants everything to be perfect. And she was so happy when she started ready for the date, however, she was not any more excited but all nervous.
She felt something was not right. But where and how she doesn't understand.
"Rebecca, you didn't answer?" Not getting a response from her, she glanced at her from the mirror where she saw her standing behind her in silence.
"What?"
"Are you just going to stare at me?" Julia raised a question annoyedly.
Rebecca sighed as she understands her friend is now nervous, so much nervous that everything started to annoy her.
She walked closer to her and touched her shoulders from behind to make her feel calm, "Julia…"
"You are looking absolutely gorgeous. So, please stop doubting yourself. You are just perfect in the way you are…" She smiled at the end of the words as she looked at her friend in the mirror who finally breathed out in relief and turned to face her.
"Are you sure? Don't you feel my hair is not working out with my dress? Or do my lipstick shades not suit me?"
Rebecca shakes her head in refusal.
"No, there is nothing wrong. Everything is perfect. You look truly incredible. Just stop thinking too much. And I bet! Sam can't let his gaze go from you as soon as he sees you."
Julia's lips curled up and a bright smile soon took her expression with a red glow on her cheeks because of Sam's name.
"I hope your words will come true."
"It will!" She responded, flashing a fresh smile which gave Julia's confidence boost again.
And they both share a small happy conversation before it's almost got time for Sam's arrival.
"It's already time. Why has he not arrived?" Julia looks at the time and complains to Rebecca.
"What are you saying? There are still 15 minutes left." Her brows raised in questioning.
To which Julia pouted, "Yeah, I know. But he should at least come a few minutes before the time. If he is going to be late, I'm not going with him any longer."
Rebecca laughed at her words slowly and said in response, "But I don't think you will do that."
"I'll." Julia declared.
Rebecca sighed helplessly and shook her head. However, the next moment, Julia's phone rang and got their attention.
"It should be him!" Julia's face lit up as she looked at the phone screen to get his name showing.
"Yes, it's him!" Julia turned the phone screen to Rebecca.
"Pick it up." She responded.
Julia nodded and attached the phone to her ears, "Hello,"
"Hello, Beautiful…"
"I'm just outside of your building. Hope to see you soon. By the way, are you ready?" Sam's flirting asked her.
Julia blushed and shyly responded, "Yeah, I'm ready. Wait for me."
"Alright, see you then." His tone turned sexier.
"Okay."
After disconnecting the call she looked at Rebecca's side.
"He is here!" Her eyes almost shone as she announced that.
Rebecca nodded in understanding and said, "I know, you should hurry now. Don't make him wait for long."
Julia's cheeks were crimson as she nodded in shyness.
"All the best!" She showed her thumbs up while Julia thanked her.
Before leaving Julia takes her purse, and phone and confirms to her, she will try to come before midnight.
However, Rebecca didn't like her idea and told her to enjoy her date. There is no need to be on time.
Rebecca instructed her to take a home key with her. If by any chance she will be late she can just open the door by herself.
To which Julia informed her she had an extra one in her purse already.
After confirming that Julia departed from the apartment while Rebecca stood at the door to watch her go inside the elevator.
After she left, Rebecca turned towards the window and saw Sam's car parked on the roadside.
A few moments later, she saw Julia coming out of the building and going towards the car.
When she noticed Sam finally opened the car door to get out of it.
Rebecca smiled to watch them from the window and finally dropped the curtain to go back to her bedroom. Let them get their privacy without peeking at them.
"God, I hope they both enjoy their first date." She mumbled out and soon her mind thought about the lunch date that she and Edwin shared together.
