Chapter 200: Chapter 200

In The Car

"Rebecca, if you don't mind can we go for lunch together?" Edwin stared at her.

Rebecca at first didn't know how to respond to him. While on the other side, Edwin sees her quiet. Take the answer as 'No'.

So, he changed his words soon, "Rebecca, if you don't want to. We can go straight to your home, you don't need to think about it too much."

Rebecca felt bad and instantly responded, "No, it's not like that."

Edwin glanced at her, "So, are we going for lunch?"

Rebecca slowly nodded, "Yes,"

Edwin could not help but smile like a baby and thanked her for accepting his invitation.

While Rebecca smiled back in response before moving her head to look at the outside view.

Edwin could only smile and turn to the restaurant side with a pleased face.

Restaurant

"Welcome, Sir,"

"Welcome, Mam,"

The waiter greeted both of them with a big smile as soon as he saw them coming inside the restaurant.

"We need a table with two seats," Edwin instructed.

The waiter nodded, "Please this way, Sir, Mam,"

Edwin and Rebecca followed him and chose the corner seat which was close to the windows.

After adjusting the seat Edwin also helped to order food for her as the menu food names look new to her.

He also instructed the waiter about her pregnancy so they could be more careful with meals.

"Here are your orders." The waiter announced who comes with two more waiters to serve all the ordered dishes one by one on the table.

Rebecca looked at the food and she felt surprised that it was not an unknown dish just like their menu names but the common dishes which she ate before many times.

"This is?" She looked at all the dishes before moving her eyes to Edwin and continued, "I never thought they would get these dishes also. As I don't notice their name on their menu book." She directly inquired.

To which, He grins and responds, "The rich restaurants and hotels just change the dish's name with a unique one to look classy and different. To make rich people like us different from the common ones."

"However, the food is not different except for names."

As soon as he finished his words, she just nodded and flashed a tiny smile with understanding.

After serving the food on plates, the waiter walked out. While they both silently finished their meal, in silence.

"Sir, Mam, I hope you both love our dishes and come again together to eat here." The waiter put the bill diary on the table and glanced at both of them with a big professional smile.

For that in response, she flashed a small smile to the waiter and Edwin nodded before taking out one of his cards from the wallets and giving it to the waiter.

"I'll be back right now." Saying that the waiter left quickly.

"Thank you for coming here." The waiter says the last line sending the card back to his owner and finally leaves while Edwin tells Rebecca that he will now send her home as it's already too late and she should need rest. For which, she didn't deny the fact and just agreed with him.

The car stopped in front of her building. Edwin gets out first to open the door for her.

"Thank you," She slowly got out of the car and thanked him for opening the door for her.

Edwin nodded and asked her to go inside as he felt the weather was turning cold out there.

Rebecca understands his concerns, so she bids him bye before walking towards the flat. While Edwin silently looked at her back with a big smile.

When she walks inside her flat, she unknowingly walks towards the window to check on Edwin.

"He should be gone." She mumbled to herself as she stopped in front of the window and looked down outside. To see him standing there still in the same spot.

Her brows twisted with doubt for a moment but soon she realised. What is he waiting for?

So, she turned back and immediately hurried to the switchboard to turn on the light.

And again went to look down. This time she watched him go inside the car which made her smile and could not help but talk with her baby, "Look baby, your dad wanted to see you safely enter the house that's why he is waiting there."

She chuckled slowly.
