Chapter 180: Chapter 180
Evening
"How are you feeling after sleeping?" Julia gives a glass of water in her hand.
"Much Better." She forwarded her hand to grab it and drink from it.
"Good, so, now tell me." Julia crossed her arms.
"Tell what?" Rebecca put the glass on the small table and looked at her with doubt.
"Whatever that old owner and his wife told you. I saw your red eyes when you tried to repent your words." Julia's tone was serious.
Rebecca looked at her and sighed helplessly. She thought she would first think about what she wanted and then tell her about the conversation. But now she needs to explain.
"She explained what you were explaining to me at that moment." Rebecca's words stunned her and her mouth half opened.
"No way! Do they talk about Edwin to you?"
Rebecca nodded.
"So, what did you tell them?"
"That he is the father of my baby."
Listening to her, Julia's hand was automatically pressed above her mouth in shock.
"They are already guessing that and I don't want to lie to them. When they already meet him."
Julia understands and seat on the single couch beside her.
"Then how they react and what they say to make you cry after I left?"
Rebecca started spinning every single word inside her mind that she heard from her aunt.
"Hey, where you lost?" She taps her shoulder.
Rebecca looked at her and mumbled in a serious tone, "Julia, I decided something…"
Watching her serious expression Julia's forehead showed lines, "Now what you suddenly decided? And about what?"
Julia felt speechless to talk with her.
"Uncle and Aunt tried to comfort me and also explain to me how Edwin's presence is so important for our baby."
"What did you just say, "Our baby?" Her eyes widened to hear those statements from Rebecca.
"Did you finally accept Edwin as your baby's dad?" She shockingly inquires. Rebecca nodded and told her about a complete conversation between her and the old couple.
Julia was almost stunned to hear everything and finally realized how that old lady help her friend to finally choose her path.
Julia's eyes filled with tears but she soon wiped them out as she smiled wide.
Rebecca frowned with worried to see her friend suddenly crying.
"Julia, what happened?" She touched her hand.
Julia shook her head and emotionally smiled, "I'm just glad you finally think to move out from the past."
"Julia…"
"Rebecca, I know, it's hard for you. I saw how much you suffer every day without speaking about it, I heard you crying and many times waking up from bad dreams. I noticed everything…"
Rebecca shuddered to hear that as she get emotional with her, "You knew about that?"
"Yes, so, I know how hard you feel to finally let go of your past and be ready to take the first step. But I am positive, babe, you never regret your decision whatever you are going to take and even if you feel it's not right. Remember, I'm always there for you. We are not blood connected but our soul is already connected…"
"Do you understand?" Julia flashed a warm smile as her eyes looked at her with sisterly love.
Rebecca tried too hard to not cry but her words finally let it run down to her cheeks while she hugged her in the next moment.
"I'm still scared to step further Julia! You don't know, it's almost like dragging my soul to again learn to survive."
Julia humm at understanding and patted her back to show she was concerned with her.
"But you are strong Rebecca. You are braver than me and other women out there. You have to face many things in your life but still, you are always fighting to survive."
"And now again…You still chose to do that and you also knew you needed to do that. If you want to walk further."
Rebecca released herself from the hug and glanced at her with red eyes, "I just don't want to struggle my whole life. And for Edwin, he already did so many things for me and I need to do that. At least I think he deserves that. He deserves a place to be with my baby."
Julia could not help but smile and held her hand with a supportive sense, "I'm just glad you decided to finally leave your bad memories and try to take steps toward your new life."
"But you didn't know what I had decided…" Rebecca's hesitant voice made Julia turn a little thoughtful.
"What do you truly decide babe?" She asked for an answer from her.
Rebecca looked at her and then her belly as she touched her belly before responding, "I decided that Edwin can enter my baby's world.
Julia's lips curled up.
"That's great. It means you are forgiving him?" She asked.
"Yes." Rebecca nodded.
"That's good for both of you." Julia looked at her with a sweet smile. However, Rebecca could not completely smile like her and this made Julia doubt.
"If this is what you decided then why do you sound hesitant? It's a good thing. Isn't it?" Julia inquired as she looked at her with raising brows.
"Because I still can't accept him in my world. Not for at least known. I still have anger deep inside me which will take time to forgive him completely. I want to give him a second chance when my heart is completely ready."
Julia understood and nodded.
"It's alright, babe. At least you are ready to think about forgiving. It's not a small thing. Just take your time. I know, after your decision, things are going to get better with time between you and Edwin. Time heals everything…Or else you don't push yourself to decide that."
"Edwin proved himself for you and I know he will be happy to hear this news even if it's not a complete joy but it doesn't mean we can't celebrate if it's half. Joy is joy. It doesn't matter if it's small or big."
"Thank you for understanding, Julia."
"Of course I do!" Julia world.
"The way you let him in your baby's world. I know he will soon make his way in your world, in your heart. He will make you forget every single bad memory and you both will have a great new world together with your baby."
Hearing her positive words, Rebecca nodded and finally smiled.
After talking with Julia, she felt more positive about her decision for now.
