Chapter 152: Chapter 152
"Hi Pretty Sis, Good morning!"
Rebecca, who is listing out books on the cupboard, hearing the sweet greeting voice soon turned to look at the girl.
"Oh Daisy, Good morning dear." Rebecca smiled and greeted back with the same shining smile.
Daisy also came to the library on Rebecca's first day on the job and soon turned out to be a great little sister.
"So, are you here for your Romance genre books again?" Rebecca inquires with a teasing voice.
"Sister!" Daisy blushed to hear her words while Rebecca chuckled and added, "Don't worry, I'm not going to tease you more."
Daisy nodded.
While Rebecca, at last, said, "You can check the third row from the left. There are some new collections. If you want, just select from it."
Listening to her instruction, Daisy smiled and thanked her.
"Thank you, sis, let me check them first there." She excitedly announced while Rebecca nodded and turned again busy with her work.
Daisy turns to go to the book section but then suddenly she thinks something and walks toward her again with a bigger smile than before.
She wanted to share her story about meeting a celebrity with her pretty sister. So, she turned around.
"Pretty sister!"
Hearing her, she looked at her again.
"What?" She politely smiled.
"I want to tell you something. The real gossip." She whispered out.
To which, Rebecca chuckled and asked her, "What gossip?" She also turned her voice as whispered to match her.
Being with Daisy she felt she got a little sister. If Chole doesn't hate her, they can also be together like this. But things always turned different.
"Today is my lucky day, sister. When I was coming here, I met a celebrity on the way."
Rebecca's eyes turned curious.
"Celebrity?"
"Which one?" She asked her.
"Sister, He is a business celebrity." Daisy proudly announced.
However, Rebecca doesn't understand her meaning.
"Business Celebrity? What does it mean?"
"I don't know. I didn't ask him. I don't want to look embarrassed in front of that big brother."
Rebecca chuckled lightly.
"So, what does your handsome big brother say to you more?"
"He wanted to sit somewhere near this library, so I informed him to go to the uncle's wife's coffee shop."
"You mean to say, Sir's wife?"
"Yeah."
Rebecca nodded, as the old man already introduced his wife to her who was looking at her coffee shop on the opposite side.
The old man also told about how they fell in love in short description while working in their shops and now aging together. They have a son who is studying abroad and will come this year.
"You did a great job helping him." Rebecca expressed, flashing a big smile.
"Thank you, sis, for the compliment." Daisy smiled back and added, "Pretty sister, the big brother is so handsome. I think you and he look great together."
Rebecca's lips tightly pressed as she ultimately asked, "Why did you think like that?"
"Because for a pretty sister, that type of handsome brother will suit!" She giggled.
Rebecca shook her head and smiled weakly.
"You think too much. Stop reading princess stories."
Daisy pouted her lips to hear her and argued.
"But I believe the prince charming is real."
Rebecca sighed. She doesn't understand how a 15 years girl knew very much about the love matching thing.
"Alright, You win. Now let me do my work." Rebecca turned to arrange the book again.
Daisy looked at her back and said, "Sister, the handsome brother also told me that if we meet again, he will bring me a big chocolate for his help."
Rebecca turned and responded, "That's good but still be aware to eat something from others. Not every person is as good as shown."
Daisy nodded to her words.
"Yes, I know sister. There are bad people. But that big brother is good. I know that."
Rebecca could not help but smile.
"If you say so then I trust you. Still, be careful of strangers."
Daisy flashed a big smile to hear her.
"Okay Sister, I'll remember your words." Saying that Daisy turns finally to check on the books.
While Rebecca sighed to watch her go. And then with her curious mind, she walks towards a little window and opens it slightly to look outside, in the direction of the coffee shop.
She glanced at the old shop for a short minute and then shook her head, "Stop it, Rebecca! Don't be now curious to watch the man hearing the little girl's words. You need to work also!" Mumbling to herself, she closed the window completely and turned to walk toward work.
While on the other side, Edwin entered the coffee shop and glanced at the shop's old design building inward. The structure is almost like a historical coffee shop.
If it was renovated. It's a good place to sit and enjoy coffee. Edwin thought about it. The place is not bad the way the decoration is done.
The old lady noticed him as soon as he entered.
She glanced at him from up to down and felt he was from a rich background. She is first astonished to see someone like him come here. But then finally approached him with a big sweet polite smile.
"Hello, Young man."
Hearing the voice, he moved his eyes to look straight and watch the old lady with a big smile.
"Hello." Edwin greeted him.
"Please come inside." The old lady showed him the chair.
Edwin chooses the chair in the corner around the window from where he can view the library.
After he sat, the old lady brought the menu.
"Do you want to order right now?"
Edwin glanced at the menu that she was holding and nodded slightly, "Yes, one black coffee."
The old lady nodded and asked, "Anything else, dear."
Edwin shook his hand, "No, mam."
The old lady nodded and just turned to make his order.
Edwin silently watches at the library building with the hope he could get a peek at her.
However, after a long minute, he could not watch her. When on the other side, the old lady brought his cup of coffee and placed it in front of him.
"Your order is here. Hope you enjoy it.
"Thank you." Edwin glanced at her with a small smile while the old lady nodded.
