Chapter 150: Chapter 150
"Hey! Girl!"
Snapping her fingers, Julia called out to Rebecca who was out of space while eating her dinner.
"Huh?" Rebecca halted.
"Babe, Are you okay? What were you thinking so deeply right now?" Julia raised a question while her hands were busy with a knife and fork to cut her meat into small portions and take a bite from it.
However, Rebecca didn't want to show her thoughts, so at last, she just shook his head in denial, "Nothing much…"
"Are you sure?" Julia stopped eating and darted her eyes at her.
Rebecca chuckled and tried to look happy.
"Yeah absolutely. I'm just feeling a little tired,"
Listening to her, Julia soon offered to wash the dish after dinner.
"If that's the case, then you should go and rest after eating. I'll do the dishes today." Julia flashed a small smile as soon as she completed her words.
While Rebecca nodded in reply.
"Now, let's eat," Julia added and again both of them started continuing with dinner.
After finishing dinner Julia takes empty plates for both people and goes back to the dishwasher to wash them.
Rebecca returned to her room and directly stood in front of the window. Her eyes went from the sky to look down to the empty road. Where Edwin just a few days ago stood for her forgiveness before she went to meet him, in his office.
She still remembers his eyes when she begged him to leave her. His eyes almost turned red to hear her words. As he is going to cry any moment. Even he didn't tear in front of her. It feels different from other days.
Even though he didn't follow her like always, but, she can't deny her words hurt him that day. However, this is still incomparable to what he gives her. He hurt her more than anyone.
Because she accepts or not. Deep down inside her heart, she trusted him with her heart or else why she fell in love with him. When she scared almost every person and tried to protect herself from every stranger.
Why she believed, to tell him the truth and have him in her life.
Her thoughts made her look at her down to her abdomen. And the next moment her palms wrapped around it to feel a little bump.
"Baby…" Her voice became sweeter when she spoke to her child.
"Baby, are you going to be angry with your Mama when you come to know, I'm the one who is making you stay away from your dad?"
"Will you be angry with me? Or you can understand why I did this?"
Her voice turned hesitant as she spoke those lines. These days she always starts to think about the future of her and her baby.
She's scared that she will be a bad mother in the eyes of her child to do that.
Her eyes filled with worry as she thought that and started to apologize while looking at her belly, "I'm sorry baby, to decide on behalf of yours. But I promise I'll be your mom and dad both. I'll fulfill all your dreams. You will never miss your dad!"
The last statement is clearly a lie and she knew it very well. But still, she tried to live with that.
She is also a single-parent child. So, she knew truly better what it would feel like to miss an important person like 'Parents'.
In her childhood, she misses her mom every day and when his father takes his second wife with him to her home. She was devastated as the second wife never accepted her or loved her.
The love she missed out on. The same thing going to happen to get a child made her feel bad and devastated and nowadays these thousands of thoughts give her stress every single night. She doesn't know whom to blame for her fears and anxiety.
She doesn't want her child to feel the same way as her, and that's why she made up her mind to not think about marrying or being in a relationship. She will not let her child bear the same trauma from the stepfamily with which she is bearded.

Next Day
"Julia, I'm leaving!" Rebecca shouted to let Julia hear. As she is still in the shower.
"Alright! Have a safe ride!" Julia replied in a loud voice to get Rebecca to hear her.
"Thank you!" After saying that, Rebecca takes her purse from the table and walks to wear her flat sandals.
After taking the last stand on herself and her purse, she soon opens the door to go out of the apartment.
When she walked out of the building, she glanced at her wristwatch and breathed lightly to go to the direct bus stop. As it's already a few minutes left for the bus to arrive.
However, she doesn't know that Edwin is waiting for her to come out of the building in the early morning. His car is not in the same place as always. This time he chose a small car and waited a few minutes far from the original spot.
So, when he saw her finally walking on the road, he started driving and following her. He could only watch her back as she is going first and he is just behind in his car.
At the bus stop, Rebecca went to sit on the empty bench seat with other people who also were waiting for the bus.
While on the other side, just the bus stop opposite, Edwin's car stopped and he finally looked at her.
He doesn't know how to express his feelings as he is watching her after his office conversation which has already been a long time.
He glanced at her appearance and her face which looks a little chubby from her last appearance. As she's pregnant, gaining weight is a good sign. He also felt she got more pretty because of that. As her skin almost glowing in the sun.
His eyes went down to look at her belly. As she's wearing a long floral summer gown. He can't see if her belly has also turned a little big or not. However, her chubby cheeks made him realize she was healthy and happy.
But something stung him when he understood that because he wanted her to feel his absence in her life. At least even once.
Does he not even succeed to get her little mind on him?
His thoughts create many more small thoughts when the bus arrives just in between him and her, at the bus stop almost hiding her.
Edwin waited patiently to let the bus move. However, when the bus started driving away from the stops.
Rebecca is no more there. Everyone is in their seat except her which made him glance at the bus which soon speeding up to go fast.
As soon as he realized Rebecca was on that bus. He immediately started the engine and steered the wheel to go in the direction of the bus.
When he got closer to the bus, he slowly started following it at all the stops. Until he found himself getting in the library area road.
He knew Rebecca was going to get off here, so he stopped driving and fell minutes away from his car. Just in the opposite direction. The bus stopped at the corner of the road and he saw Rebecca getting off it slowly.
However, he did not follow her anymore, he waited for her to walk down a narrow path before he could start it.
And when she did, he crossed the road and parked the car on one side. Before starting again following her.
Rebecca, without knowing his presence, walked almost halfway when the drunken men smirked and laughed to watch her. They are giving dirty stares to her.
However, Rebecca avoided them and didn't stop walking.
She's still a little tense to cross their path. But watching them not making their way to her, she started to get assured they can only stare at her from far.
And most importantly, how many more days, she's going to be scared of all these bullies?
They are available everywhere, on every corner. Should she lock herself? Is it going to help her? No. She finally knows she needs to face them and start not letting anyone touch her or bully her. No more.
When she walked away that way. Edwin who just watched everything from far. His blood almost started boiling. If it's not for Rebecca's anger at him. He will already punch those bastards in front of her.
However, he waited for her to leave and when she vanished, he walked at light speed to the group of men.
They all noticed someone glaring at them. So, they all turned their heads together to watch the young man in an expensive suit standing in front of them with hell angry eyes. It's like he just wanted to destroy them.
"Hey, who are you, man? And why are you staring at us?" One of them asked with irritation.
However, Edwin didn't respond and continued glaring at them in silence.
This made the group of men feel more annoyed and one of them stood for his chair and came toward Edwin.
"Hey! Are you dumb or what?"
Edwin glanced at him for a moment before punching him to fall unconscious on the ground.
Watching that, everyone shockingly stood and moved backward.
Edwin's eyes moved from falling man to group.
"Listen to me carefully. If you all want to go back to your home on your both legs then don't show up in this area again."His declaration made everyone gulp their saliva.
While Edwin continued with this warning, " And if by any chance you feel like fighting then let me inform you, I'm not an easy fighter. I can smash all of you in just a minute. For the demo, you can check on your brother."
After hearing his last warning everyone automatically nodded their head in agreement and their body almost sweated out with fear only of his threat.
"A…Alright, we will leave as you wish but don't beat us. We will never show up here again."
"Good." Edwin gave them the last killing gaze before moving back to again follow Rebecca to the library.
While the men of the group take their unconscious man with them and fling fast from that area.
