Chapter 144: Chapter 144

The old man makes Rebecca familiar with all corners and explains how to arrange all books in alphabetical order. He informed her about all the genres he got in his library and how all categories were placed line by line in a chain manner.

After she understands that thing. He moves to make her know how to list the name of the person who borrowed the books to read in the library and who wanted to take the book with him home.

He also made clear the time when there are just more customers and when there are not.

In the afternoon the library was not so busy but when it was a little late there were many students from school and college. The old people showed up in the evening to get the book and read here sometimes while some took the books with them.

"Miss Wilson, I hope now you can better understand your work." The old man stops between the books cupboard row and turned to watch Rebecca who just stopped writing on her little note and looked at him with a small nod.

"Yeah, I think," Rebecca responded.

The old man nodded with a smiling face at last. He can see Rebecca is serious about her job. The way she carried the pen and notes not to miss any details given by him made him so satisfied.

"So, let's start your work." He gave her an id card with her name.

Rebecca took the card and thanked him.

"Thank you, Sir."

The old man nodded and told her if she needed any help, she could ask him as he would be in the cabin.

"Now, I'm leaving the work to you." Saying that he left while Rebecca turned to check on the library books and some customers who were reading on the bench.

In the afternoon many teenage boys and girls students welcomed her warmly and told her that she is too beautiful to work here and she can join the film industry or model.

Only working half a day there, she felt too comfortable and happy.

This way she completed her whole day and every task done by her is well mannered which made the old man also happy to have her here with him for work.

"Hahaha! You did a great job, Dear."

"I saw you handle many customers in a great way."

The old man could not restrain his satisfied face.

While Rebecca felt also glad to work in this environment.

"You should go home now, it's already 7 pm."

"Let's get back to work tomorrow."

Listening to an old man, Rebecca thanked him and left the library with her bag.

When she walked on the same small path, she found some other man drinking alcohol but this time, she was not scared and just walked from there in silence.

She already asked the old man about the bus stop. So, now she just needs to walk there and wait for one to come.

"You look happy. I guess your workplace came out great." Julia opens the fridge and takes out a beer bottle.

"Yeah, the people there have warm personalities." Rebecca's face filled with a bright smile.

"That's great then. I hope now you can have a peaceful time." Julia flawed a warm smile while Rebecca nodded to her words.

"Julia, there is a doctor's appointment next week. Are you coming with me?"

Julia sipped on her beer and then looked at Rebecca.

"Of course, I'm coming. I'm a godmother, don't forget that." Julia's words made Rebecca chuckle and nod to her words.

"Yeah, I know. But I still want to ask. What if you and Sam want to go on a date."

Julia's face flushed red. As her hand stopped sipping on her beer.

"Rebecca, it's not like that. We are just friends for now." She tries to deny it.

"But not for long," Rebecca teased and laughed slowly.

Julia reddened her words and tried to change the topic.

"Rebecca, enough with my talk."

"Now tell me, what about the place? Is the library side area good? You didn't tell me about that?"

Julia emptied the beer bottle and stood up to walk towards the kitchen dump.

Rebecca thought about drunken men but shook her thoughts.

"Hey, you didn't answer." Julia already came back while Rebecca looked at her and responded with an awkward smile, "It's good, just like their people."

Julia nodded and sat back in her place again.

"That's a great thing. It's truly unbelievable that you got a job in one night. But I'm glad that you are happy now with this new job."

"Yes, you are right Julia. I also feel glad to meet some new warm people and be around them from now on." Rebecca asserted.

Julia smiled to hear her words while Rebecca thought to cover up drunken men's things from Julia. Or else she will not let her go to work there. But as the owner said, they are not harmed. She doesn't need to think so much about it.

She should stop bothering Julia with every single thing. Now Julia got Sam also. Yes, they are not in a serious relationship but still, she needs to try to solve things by herself.

.

.

"Sam, She looked so happy today."

"After many days, I saw her smiling happily. I think she's happy with her new work environment." Julia lay on the bed while her hand held the phone to one side ear.

"That's good. At least Miss Rebecca is happy. By the way, where is that library?" Sam closed the file in front of him and completely focused on her voice.

"I don't know the complete address. But it's on the north side. The library's name is "KSK Library ''. Julia looked at her nail which needed nail paint soon.

"But I never heard the library name before." Sam's brows arched as he replied while adjusting his back on the chair.

"Yeah, because It's an old small library and not famous." She answers and continues to get off the bed to walk toward the mirror drawer and takes out the matching nail paint from her hand nail paint to apply again.

"Alright, I got it. Now let's talk later. I still need to finish work." Sam's eyes roamed on the many files as he sighed helplessly.

"Got it. Then bye for now." Julia stops painting her nails to bid her bye.

"Yeah, Good Night, have sweet dreams."

"You too," Julia replied before finally, both sides disconnected the call.

Sam looked at the dark screen with a big smile. When Edwin entered his cabin suddenly.

"Boss!" Sam was stunned to watch Edwin in the office. Because from the last few days he is the one who is handling all the things alone.

Edwin just walked toward him and asked in a serious tone, "Sam, Were you talking with Julia, just now?"

Sam felt paused for a moment before finally answering, "Yes, Boss."

"What are you both talking about Rebecca? What do you mean she is happy?" Edwin could not help but ask.

Sam looked at Edwin with deep silence before finally speaking, "Actually, Boss…Miss Rebecca got a new job in one of the small libraries and she is happy with her new job."

Edwin finally understands and thinks about her and his baby's health. Even though he is staying far from her, he needs to check where she is working. Is it a good place for her and their baby or not?

Thinking that he raised another question, "Sam, What is the name of the Library? Send me the whole address, on my phone."

Sam felt stunned for a moment but soon replied, "Yes Boss."
