"Mr.Edwin, you are thinking wrong. I never liked you the way you are trying to describe."

Edwin silently listened to her.

"You are always my boss and I'm just a normal employee. So, please maintain your dignity and don't try to push me to accept the fact that I never mean it."

Edwin's eyes turned sharp.

"So, you mean to say, you are…"

"Yes, I never loved you. I always respect you as my boss and mentor. But not as a lover. There is no feeling like love for you, in my heart." She looked straight into his eyes and gave all these statements.

But Edwin wasn't ready to accept her words," Are you sure? What are you saying, Rebecca?"

Rebecca felt numb for a moment but finally composed her heart and said in straightforward words," Yes, I never loved you. I don't have any feelings for you. So, please stop saying all these beautiful words. It's not made for me."

Edwin's heart clenched to hear her. On the other side, Rebecca was holding her tears so hard. Not to let him get her real thoughts and emotion in front of him.

"I hope, now you will understand my words and don't try to cross the boundaries between us. We belong to a different world and we can't connect that. So, please respect my words and never try to touch me again."

Edwin's eyelashes flickered to her words. He thought, his confession going to make them closer to each other. But now seeing the conclusion, he could feel, his heart left torn apart. He got everything wrong. He should not come into her peaceful world and make her feel like this. But now hearing her words, he felt he was overconfident in himself.

He got no chance to apologize to her for his mistake anymore, because, after this incident, he knew she would hate him if he told her the truth.

He can bear her rejection but not her hate. So, the next moment he finally releases her shoulders and moves backward. In silence.

Rebecca felt too much pressure during this moment not to grab him, and let her heart open for him. She struggles so much to do that. But at last, she glanced at him, weakly gaze, and walked from beside him. Not turning back to him anymore.

Edwin stood there like a statue for a long minute. Before finally, he turned to watch her cold back going far from him.

His heart wanted to grab her and hug her not to go anywhere leaving him but he knew it did not matter. Because she rejected him and his love. She doesn't feel anything for him. He is the one who's making beautiful illusions for himself. And when reality hit him, he felt unbearable pain and was not ready to accept it in one go.

His miserable eyes looked at her back until she vanished from his sight.

She went to the hotel, while he stood in the garden for a long night. Without any care for cold wind or bad weather. He knew he loved her, but today he can feel his heart still wants her. He wanted her to be by his side and grabbed her hand. showed her bright smile and let him admire them.

Rebecca's tears which are wanted to come out, finally break out as soon as she walks past him. Her heart crying out loud but no one is there to listen to that.

This is the first time she finally got the love of her life, but how could she think, she could be lucky to earn it with him? Her nightmare life is always like this where all she is going to get rejected and hurt.

Rebecca's mind spun his words again and again until it made her feel devastated.

She immediately pressed the lift button and went inside. She wiped her tears all the time until she walked to her room door.

She opened it with the key and locked it before finally falling, breaking down on her knees, feeling too hard to breathe.

"Why? Why me always?" She murmured between her breath feeling too hateful to herself.

"Why do I need to suffer all this? What have I done to live like this? Why can't I be happy for a single moment in my life? Why can't I get what I want? Why do I need to get just unhappiness for myself? What did I to deserve this?"

Seeing herself going through all of this, she can't help but cry. No matter how hard she tried to be strong every time, something hit her and made her walk from the start.

After standing in the exact place for a long time, finally, he entered the hotel and went towards his room. His eyes went to Rebecca's room which is just beside him but couldn't have the courage to say more or listen more to her.

After silently standing there for a long minute, he went inside his room and locked the door.

With slow steps, he went to the bed edge and sat on it with a tragic face. His palms went to his face and covered it while his mind filled with her hard words. He never thought, his confession going to be this miserable.

He never wanted to hurt her but without knowing he hurt both of them.

The beautiful night changed into misery for them.

Edwin half lay on the bed while his legs were still on the ground. He covered his eyes with his backhand and closed his eyes feeling it was too heavy to let open.

"Rebecca, I'm sorry for hurting you. But my love nerves going to force you." He whispered through his breath.

Both of them spend the whole night in agony and pain. There are no more tears, no more sleep, all they got each other's words and memories only to remember right now.

Where Rebecca curled up on the one side of the bed feeling sorrow for herself. Edwin's feeling breaks down to knowing he can't be in her future. He can't settle anything anymore. He got here and his child but in just his dream. He lost his chance. He lost his chance to be with her and build his own beautiful family.
