After Yun Xi was done with cooking, she told Xiao Hui to go and call his grandparents for dinner.

There was no way Xiao Hui would reject his mother, so he went upstairs to his grandparent’s room. “Grandpa, Grandma”, he called in his sweet voice while knocking on the door.

Inside, the couple was cuddling with each other. When they heard Xiao Hui’s voice, Mother Mo hastily pushed Father Mo, which resulted in him falling off the bed. She didn’t even care about his fall and just went to open that door to meet her grandson. Father Mo was sulking inside after his wife just abandoned him. He got up by himself and walked to the door.

“Darling, what is it?” Mother Mo asked Xiao Hui as soon as she opened the door.

Xiao Hui opened his arms indicating her to carry him and replied, “It’s time to eat, Grandma.”

Mother Mo bent down to carry him, but Father Mo quickly rushed forward and carried Xiao Hui by himself. How can he let his wife carry such a heavy child by herself? So, he rushed without thinking and swept Xiao Hui in his arms. Then he looked at Xiao Hui and said, “Grandpa missed you so much all this time. Let grandpa carry Xiao Hui, okay?”

Though he asked that, he was adamant about carrying Xiao Hui by himself. Mother Mo shook her head in exasperation aside them. She could guess her husband’s thoughts, but Xiao Hui was just a child. And, carrying him for a while would not tire her. He just worries too much whenever the topic comes to her. If only he could, he would just lock her up and keep her by his side always.

Even though Mother Mo sometimes thought of her husband as childish, she was glad that she got him as her husband. Because love was very rare in between the couples from high-class society. So, she was relieved that she got such a loving husband and wished that their children would inherit his trait in this area.

Meanwhile, Xiao Hui was thinking, “But I don’t want to be carried by Grandpa. He is not soft as my Grandma. But, it seems like he misses Xiao Hui. So, Xiao Hui will sacrifice his comfort this time.”

Downstairs in the dining area, Yun Xi was arranging the dishes with the help of Mo Shan. Soon, everyone arrived there from Xiao Hui’s call. Mother Mo’s heart warmed when she saw her son helping his wife. That was what she wished for, a happy and contented family.

After everyone was seated, Old Master Mo started eating followed by everyone else. Just like the previous day, Yun Xi first fed Xiao Hui before eating by herself. Mother Mo was greatly surprised when she tasted the food. It was delicious. Her youngest son was not lying when he said that Yun Xi cooks well.

She was now getting more and more satisfied with this daughter-in-law. The dinner went well and everyone was satisfied with it. After they were done with dinner, everyone sat in the hall. Yun Xi sang a lullaby to Xiao Hui which made him fall asleep on her lap. She then asked a maid to take him to his room.

After they left, Yun Xi asked Butler Li, “Uncle Li, are there any themes or color codes for Xiao Hui’s birthday party?”

Butler Li and even other family members were stunned when she asked that. When Yun Xi saw their expression, she thought that she must have made some mistakes. Just as she was about to ask them what was wrong, Old Master Mo spoke, “No, it has not been decided yet. Xiao Xi, do you have something in your mind?” Father Mo and Mother Mo also nodded when they heard about it.

Mo Shan also spoke from the sideline, “Actually, we were surprised because we never had theme parties before. But now that we think about it, it’s a great idea. Xiao Hui will like it too.”

Mo Sheng also chided in, “Indeed, sis-in-law is the smartest one with highest EQ here. If I had given that idea, everyone would have scolded me for being childish. Tsk! Finally, there is someone with high EQ as mine now. Sister-in-law, you should have come into our life much earlier…..”

He kept whining until he got a stare from his brother. He only stopped then.

Mo Shan then faced Yun XI gently as if the one staring at someone was not him. He then asked, “So, do you have any idea in your mind?”

Yun Xi thought for a while and spoke, “Since it’s the first time, let’s not organize a themed one. Instead, let’s decide on a dress code, family members exclusively.”

Everyone agreed with her and they decided on cream white color with green accessories. After they were done discussing, everyone left for their room to sleep.

Yun Xi was about to head towards Xiao Hui’s room when Mo Shan carried her in princess style. Yun Xi was so scared that she could not even speak properly. ‘Y…you, W.. What are you doing?”

But Mo Shan completely ignored her words and led her directly to his room. He shut the door close with his legs and carried the girl in his arm directly to the bed. Yun Xi’s heart was palpitating fast when she thought of the possible outcomes of his behavior. Her face burned in shame when she realized that her thoughts have wandered off.

Mo Shan chuckled seeing her face red. He poked her forehead and asked, “What are you thinking about? Your face has gone completely red. Be careful of not getting nosebleed and don’t think nonsense.”

After saying his words, he directly laid down on the bed and hugged Yun Xi from behind. Yun Xi’s mind was completely blank. She spoke after a while in a tiny voice, “Shower?” They hadn’t showered yet. Were they directly going to sleep?

“Tomorrow morning”, Mo Shan replied and switched off the lights, leaving only a lamp on which emitted very dim lights. They were now in a spooning position which made Yun Xi’s heartbeat even faster.

“Thump, thump” Mo Shan could even hear Yun Xi’s heartbeat. He sighed and spoke, “Relax, hmm? Don’t think about anything. Just sleep.”

But how could Yun Xi calm down when they were so close to each other. She felt his warm breath on her neck every time he breathed out. Everything was making Yun Xi nervous.

She just lied there without moving when she remembered something. “Xiao Hui?” She forgot about Xiao Hui in her nervousness.

Mo Shan felt bitter in his heart when she asked about Xiao Hui. How can she think about other men when she was in his arms? He tightened his grip on her waist and declared, “No Xiao Hui today. Even though he is your son, I am your husband. And we are sleeping together from now on.”

“Boom”, something exploded in Yun Xi’s mind. What? They were sleeping together since then? But she was not prepared for it.

Mo Shan detected her hesitation and spoke, “When I mean sleeping, it’s sleeping literally. No other meaning. Moreover, you are pregnant, so we can take time until you are ready.” With that, he touched her stomach very carefully.

To be honest, he has never thought of the child in Yun Xi’s stomach as an outsider. Since she was his now, they both were his. And now, he has begun expecting the little guy’s arrival.

When Yun Xi felt his hand in her stomach, she felt warmth. She was glad and thankful that the whole family accepted her despite knowing the truth. Now she has also started dreaming of the family with Mos.

Yun Xi thought that she might not be able to sleep that night, but the unexpected happened. Not only did she sleep, she actually slept like a log.

Mo Shan kissed her forehead when he realized that she was asleep. After that, he too fell asleep.
