Mo Shan saw that Yun Xi was not in the room anymore. He looked at his son with probing eyes. Xiao Hui understood his father’s gaze and said while pointing towards the bathroom, “Mommy is in there.”

Mo Shan thought that Yun Xi must have felt shy. He walked to the bathroom door, cleared his throat, and spoke, “Xi Xi? Are you in there? I have brought your pajamas.” When he did not hear any noise from inside the bathroom, Mo Shan thought of just putting on her pajamas and going out of the room so that Yun Xi would come outside to get dressed.

But before he could make any move, the door opened slightly with a creek sound. Yun Xi poked her head out from the gap in the door and asked for the pajamas.

After Mo Shan handed her the pajamas, Yun Xi quickly shut the door close with a ‘bang’ sound. Mo Shan smiled remembering Yun Xi’s blushing face. When he turned around, he saw his son looking at him with confused looks.

“What is it?” Mo Shan asked.

Xiao Hui replied with a puffed cheek, “Why is mommy behaving like that? Did you do something to her?”

Mo Shan was silent for a while before replying, “No, I didn’t. Moreover, this is a matter between two adults. You would not understand.”

“I am already 5.” Xiao Hui replied to his father while glaring and showing five fingers to tell that he was already 5.

Mo Shan chuckled looking at his son’s cute action and spoke, “Exactly, you are only 5. Grow up a bit more, then you will understand yourself.”

“Hmph!” Xiao Hui harrumphed at his father and turned his head to avoid looking at his father while folding his hands and sulking.

Mo Shan shook his head and thought, “People said it right: Boys are really spoiled by their mothers.” Xiao Hui never acted this cute before and always behaved like a mature adult but it has not even been a day since Yun Xi came to stay with them, he has begun to show his childish side. But seeing him like this, Mo Shan actually felt glad because he and his family have always felt guilty for not being able to protect his childishness. But since Xiao Hui was now slowly behaving like how a child should be, he felt relieved.

While the two of them were acting like that outside, inside the bathroom, Yun Xi really wants to dig a hole and bury herself into it looking at the inner wears Mo Shan brought for her. They were of bright red color and they were even lacy. Seeing those, Yun Xi’s face turned even redder than the shade of those inner wears.

“Yun Xi, Yun Xi, you stupid! How could you have forgotten to bring the clothes before showering? Great! Now you have thoroughly embarrassed yourself.” Yun Xi chided herself.

She then changed into the pajamas and slowly opened the door to see if Mo Shan has left. But when she opened the door and peeked outside, her eyes directly met with Mo Shan's. Her first instinct was to shut the door close but stopped herself from doing it.

Instead, she walked out while smiling awkwardly. Although she acted as if she didn’t care, Mo Shan could see that she was just acting but he remained silent and acted as if he didn’t know anything.

After coming out, Yun Xi cleared her throat and spoke, “Well, thank you for helping me bring the pajamas.”

Mo Shan simply replied, “No worries. It’s my pleasure.”

Xiao Hui also realized that Yun Xi has finished changing and is already out. As soon as he saw her, he ran towards her puffing his cheeks as if he was being bullied by his father.

He then looked at his father as if saying, “Hmph! You are not telling me anything? Fine, my mother will.”

Mo Shan raised his eyebrow at his son’s tactics but didn’t say anything.

When Yun Xi saw Xiao Hui running towards her, she stooped down to his level and asked, “Darling, what happened? Did someone say something to you?”

Xiao Hui didn’t say anything but pointed at his father as if complaining about him. Yun Xi looked at Mo Shan with confused eyes and asked, “Why is Xiao Hui acting like this? Did you say something to him?”

Xiao Hui's eyes lit up when he heard his mother scolding and interrogating his father. “Hmph! You deserve it" he thought.

Mo Shan looked at his son being cheeky and replied with a smile, “ Oh, he is angry because I didn’t tell him anything.”

Yun Xi asked, “Tell what?”

Mo Shan then laughed and spoke, “He wants to know why you are behaving oddly, running to the bathroom with a red face, and why you shut the door at my face. I told him nothing happened and he will understand when he grows up but he didn’t believe me.”

Yun Xi was stupified when she heard that. She looked down at Xiao Hui, only to see that he was looking at her with inquiring eyes. She also didn’t know how to answer him on this.

“Ahem,” She cleared her throat and began, “Baby, your father is not completely wrong. Mommy is very that you are worried about mommy and mommy is fine. Nothing happened and as your father said, you will understand when you grow up. It’s not that I don’t want to tell you about it, but I don’t want my son to think more about it. It may affect your growth and mommy will feel bad if you do not grow well. You understand that mommy loves you the most, right?”

Xiao Hui's eyes dimmed at first but when he heard how much his mother loves him, his eyes gradually lit up. He then nodded his head and said while hugging Yun Xi, “En, Xiao Hui loves mommy the most too.”

Yun Xi felt relieved at that and squeezed Xiao Hui in her arms.

While the two were enjoying each other’s embrace, someone was standing beside them like a third wheel and looking at them as if he was being abandoned. He cleared his throat to get their attention but none of them spared him a glance. He could only grit his teeth in anger and jealousy.

Yun Xi realized that their hairs were still wet, so she spoke, “Xiao Hui, your hair is still wet. Come, let me help you dry it, okay?” She then took his hand and made him sit on a chair in front of the mirror. She then walked to the bathroom and brought a hairdryer dryer from the place where she had seen it before.

She then started drying his hair gently and even combed his hair after that. She looked at his figure in the mirror and exclaimed, “Aww, my son is really the best looking.”, then crouched down to give a peck on his cheek.

When she was trying to turn around to bring Xiao Hui to the bed, she felt someone approaching her from behind. She saw Mo Shan’s figure approaching her in the mirror. She was confused as to what he was going to do. But then she got the answer when he took the hairdryer from the table and began to dry her hair.

“I… I c… can do it myself”, she stammered. But Mo Shan said, “Stay still.”

Yun Xi did not dare to move and even held her breath while Mo Shan continued drying her hair. Yun Xi could feel that he was being really gentle with her hair and her heart started pounding rapidly. She did not even realize that she has been looking at him in the mirror this whole time.

“Done”, Mo Shan exclaimed after drying her hair and after that, he also placed a peck on her cheek just like she did to Xiao Hui before. He acted as if it was a completely normal thing to do.

Yun Xi’s eyes widened when she felt a peck on her cheek and stuttered pointing at Mo Shan in the mirror, “Y… You!” but except that, no words came out of her mouth.

Mo Shan spoke in a dead-pan voice, “What is it? You are also the best-looking girl.” He even mimicked her words. Yun Xi’s face turned red hearing his word and lowered her eyes to avoid looking at him.

But they failed to realize that someone was glaring at their sweet actions. And, it was none other than their own son.

Xiao Hui was also planning to dry his mother’s hair and earn few more kisses from her but before he could take any action, his father already beat him to it and he could only sulk at them sitting there.

He knew that his father was doing that on purpose to get back on him.

"Hmph! I know mommy still loves me the most", he thought.
