Chapter 55: Chapter 55
I remained silent as Reign held my hand. We just got out from the staircase, and now, we are walking between the maids while their heads are bowed. I roamed my eyes on the maids and trying to figure out Thraia, Brielle, and Luna among them.
“Where is Thraia? Is she okay? How about Luna and Brielle?” I asked Reign when I didn’t saw them. He just continued grabbing my hand.
“I ordered Thraia for something important and for the two maids you mentioned,” Reign stopped in front of the double door connected to the dining hall. He looked at me with an intense expression, “They are taking a rest. One of them is badly injured,”
“You mean Luna? How is she?” I asked while worried was showed in my voice. Reign gently cupped my cheeks and smiled at me. He was assured that everything is alright.
“Don’t worry. The doctor already examined her situation and thanks for you,” Reign let go of my hand then moved his hand that was on my cheek to my head and pat it gently, “You did well back there. The maid said everything about what you did,” he then kissed the tip of my head.
I was surprised and flustered by his actions, “When did you talk to them?” I asked because I was confused. We were together last night. I was surprised at how or when he meets Luna.
He ruffles my hair, “After what happened last night between us and when you already slept soundly. I left for a while to check on the situation of that maid because I knew you would ask me about them,” I was embarrassed about his first words. I want to avert my face from, “Your face is red as your lips,” I immediately turned to him but suddenly, my chest throbbed harder as our lips met.
Reign’s face was so close to mine. He then pulls away from his face from me, “Stop blushing. Some scene was flashing in my mind with that expression of yours,” he said and took my hands, “Let’s go,” Reign started walking, but my mind was floating.
I didn’t ask any more questions because of the discomfort I was feeling. What happened last night keep on entering my mind, and I want to get rid of it while I was with Reign. I can’t afford to be in this current mindset, and I might be lost my sanity.
I don’t know where Reign will take me at this time. Are we going to the date he was saying? I almost forgot! Reign said earlier that he was going to pass Shino first. I don’t know if he will take me with him or leave me with the maids.
I thought we would enter the dining hall because he stopped in front of it earlier, but he didn’t, and he suddenly turned right with me. I want to ask, but I shut my mouth. I’ll wait where he takes me. While walking with Reign taking this unfamiliar path inside his vast house, frames are plastered in the cream-colored wall.
“You can look at them later,” Reign said between his breathing. Maybe he saw me looking at the picture frames. I can’t see whose faces are posted there.
I didn’t speak and let Reign pulls me to his intended destination. As I look at his broad back, I felt strange. My eyes looked down at his waist. It was narrow and supple. Just by looking at Reign’s figure, it was giving off the presence of rock hard.
Reign suddenly stopped, and my face hits on his back. I was right! It was hard as a rock. I felt Reign’s body turned to look at me, “Oh. I’m sorry,” he apologizes, then grabbed my body. I was surprised when he suddenly hugged me.
“What?” I asked because I was confused by his sudden action.
“You hurt your head because of me,” I shrugged. I didn’t answer while Reign was still hugging me. His manly smell wafts through my nose, and I can feel his heavy breathing racing with my heartbeat.
Reign pulled his self from the hug and gently holds my shoulders, “Where are we?” I asked after I roamed my eyes. We are in front of an automatic door. He did not answer and then put his hands away from my shoulders then turned his back from me.
Reign approached the door and immediately pressed his face against the wall but with a distance. I could not see what he was doing, but suddenly, a glow happened in front of his face; then the door opened.
Reign looked at me, “Come,” then he reached out his hands. I did not hesitate to take it. Reign entered as he pulled me gently. I wanted to see the thing he did before, but when we entered the door, it closes on its own. I’m sure that this door needs Reign’s facial recognition.
The place was bright as we entered. I was as if at the action movies, those characters tend to steal millions of cash from a room vault.
I can’t describe what’s inside; it’s all new in my sight. Only one thing I know, if you don’t have a hundred billion in your hand, you won’t have this kind of place inside the house.
Reign stopped in front of a glass wall, and when I looked inside, I saw Shino sitting on a metal chair. There’s also a bed beside him with a lot of kitchen things. What the heck is this place?
Shino suddenly turned his eyes in our direction and immediately stood up to see who was the man standing beside me, “Stay here,” I looked at Reign. He reached the back of my head and pulled it closer to him, then planted a soft kiss on my forehead.
I wanted to ask, but he immediately entered where Shino was. I tried to comply, but I didn’t want to because Reign said to stay here. I looked at the two of them that were inside the glass wall. Both of them looked like arguing for something.
I just avoided looking at the two of them. The important thing is that Shino is safe. Whatever the two of them are talking about, I’m sure it’s about what Shino told me at his place. I hope everything goes well.
Later on, Reign came out and could not paint the expression on his face. I wanted to ask about what happened for him to have that face, but he suddenly walked me. I looked inside the glass wall. I saw Shino looking at me, and he immediately smiled.
I was surprised when someone took my hands, so I looked up. I saw Reign’s eyes gently stare at me. I thought he’s already and left me here. I was about to speak when he immediately pulled me away from our current place.
I wasn’t given a chance to speak because Reign kept pulling me out of where Shino was and out of the house. I don’t know where we are because I’m not familiar with what we went through. I’m sure that there’s a lot more I do not know about his house. So vast and confusing!
I was surprised when suddenly, we passed between the maids with bowed heads; I looked around us. Why didn’t I realize that we were out of the house? I mean, it’s like we’re going to the shore, and I don’t even know which part of Reign’s house we exited.
I look at Reign and his expression from earlier changed. He was already smiling while gently pulling my hands. I want to ask, but I can’t have the accurate time to spit out my words.
I looked at what we were going through as I felt like I was stepping on tiny things. I was only wearing flat shoes so I could feel them. I was taking the path of sands while surrounded by shells as a border. I looked ahead and saw a cottage full of flowers and candles; we are a few meters away from it.
I stopped that made Reign looked at me, “Why?”
“What is happening?”
“I already told you that we have a date,” then he pulled me again, taking me to the cottage. When we arrived at the place, we were greeted by the scent of the lotus flower. Reign pulled a chair for me, and I immediately sat down.
Just as I was sitting down, Thraia suddenly came. She wasn’t looking at me and bent head over while holding a marble box. He handed it to Reign, who was standing behind me, then Thraia left.
I was surprised when Reign suddenly placed the box in front of me; it was open while empty. I was about to look at him, but I was startled on the next thing Reign did. He put something on my neck, and I felt his warm hands on my nape, trying to lock something.
He then walked over in front of me and pulled a chair for his own. We are separated with marble and a round table; then, Reign looked at me with a sweet smile on his lips.
“I hope you like it,” because of what he said, I immediately looked at my chest. There’s a blue jade pendant hanging from a cord resting on my chest. I touched it, and my heartbeat furiously.
I turned my gaze on Reign with my lips parted from each other, “It’s a necklace from my late grandmother. She told me that I should give it to the woman of my life,”
