Chapter 24: Chapter 24

I stopped because of Reign’s sudden kiss. Even if we are under the sea, I widened my eyes. Who wouldn’t be surprised if you were suddenly kissed by a man you don’t even know very well. Only name and status in life!

I wanted to struggle, but my body was too heavy because of the seawater. When I looked at Reign, his eyes were closed as our lips pressed together.

Gradually, I began to feel more comfortable, and my breathing began to improve. I don’t know, but Reign gives me air using his mouth. I didn’t know what to do, so I just closed my eyes to imitate what he was doing.

It’s embarrassing to admit, but I don’t know how to kiss. This is the first time someone got close to my body this instance, and someone touches my lips.

As I closed my eyes, I felt Reign gently touch my nape. I was surprised because he pressed my face even harder towards him. My body warmed up when the thought entered my mind that we were kissing under the sea.

I opened my eyes. Reign kept his eyes closed as he continued to kiss me. Because of the embarrassment I felt, I suddenly bit his lips. He slowly opened his eyes but still did not remove the lips that were attached to mine. I feel like my body heats up a lot, even when we’re in the water.

When he saw that I was uncomfortable with the current situation, he immediately took his face away. I know it’s blurry, but I’m sure from what I saw. Even though we’re under the sea, Reign was blushing.

I don’t know for what reason, but I can see how red his face is right now. When I stared at him, he suddenly averted his blue eyes from me. Is it because of his sudden kiss that’s why he was acting like this?

I don’t know why but I suddenly laughed inside my mind. Reign started it, but why was he surprised at what he did himself?

Reign suddenly turned his blue eyes to me. His expression changed and became serious. He moved his hands, put them on both of my arms, held me tightly but with care.

I would like to speak, but I was afraid to open my mouth. I fear that the sea will enter inside my mouth. I also don’t know how to swim and use my limbs to move out of this water. I’m not qualified to become a mermaid.

I was surprised when my body suddenly rose. I noticed that Reign did that by swimming up with me. I didn’t know why I stared at him as he continued to swim to the surface. I won’t lie, and yes, he looks lovely.

My chest heaved at the thought of how strong he was. How stiff his body is and how safe you feel while he embraces his army around you. On the other side of my mind, I said that someone will be fortunate to have him as a partner.

But on the contrary, I think whoever Reign’s partner will be in the future, I’m sure that her life will definitely be in danger. I don’t know what kind of person Reign is.

Elliott said he was ruthless, but there was more to it. I don’t know why but this is the first time I have been interested in interfering in other people’s lives. What I feel now is I want to get to know Reign better.

I just stared at him as he continued to swim the surface with me. Even underwater, I can see how the veins come out of his neck while releasing force from his limbs.

I rolled my eyes upwards. I don’t want to stare anymore. Even though I don’t know Reign thoroughly, he gives me a weird feeling. When I shifted my gaze up, I realized that we were about to ascend from below.

I can’t swim. I don’t even know how to breathe underwater, but my life was saved thanks to Reign. This is the second time. First was at the auction, and now. Even though I am so indebted to him, I still won’t stop working on the way to escape from him that I know he doesn’t want to happen.

I felt Reign pull a strong force from his feet. Then at once, our bodies rose from the bottom of the sea.  I opened my mouth and immediately took a deep breath. Reign was already holding onto my waist to prevent my body from drowning.

When I could already catch my breath and was satisfied with my condition,  I turned my gaze to Reign. My chest throbbed as I noticed his blue eyes staring hard at me. I gave him a ‘what’ look, but it was just like a wind barking at him.

“I’m glad that you’re fine,” he says. Fine? Is that fine for him? If he hadn’t come, I would have been lifeless for a long time. I didn’t say anything because I don’t have the right to complain. I was afraid that he’ll let me go suddenly and then I will really lose my life. Thanks to him because I’ve avoided death earlier.

He immediately swam forward with me. So I looked over there; I saw a lifeboat, and three of his men were on board. They were holding guns. When I remembered about the weapon, I looked at Reign again. He no longer has a gun. Maybe it fell earlier while he swam the surface along with me.

When we reached the lifeboat, I was shocked at Reign’s sudden movement. He lifted my body up so I could ride on the ship. When I got on board, Reign followed. He lifted himself up out of the water. His powerful force moved the boat.

My whole body trembled as the cold air perch on my body. I feel like all my body hair has been erected.  Something soft and wide suddenly landed on my back. I looked back and saw Reign drying his hair with a blue towel.

I also looked at the thing placed at my back, a blue and large towel wrapped around it. I immediately took it and wrapped it around my body to relieve the cold feeling.

“Maze, track who’s behind this happening. After you tracked who’s responsible for this, prepare the men. Also, let go, Elliott. We will need him,” I looked back again to see where Reign was. He was holding a cellular phone.  That Maze girl I saw in the night bar was really acquainted with him.

Reign handed the phone to one of his men, who was riding with us. I shifted my gaze to their hands holding a gun. Honestly, I was really nervous about what was going on. I want to ask, but I don’t have the courage.

I don’t know how Reign feels right now. His jaw was clenched together, and when I turned my eyes on his hands, it was also clenched tightly.

I don’t know if he’s mad at me because his eyes are on me, but when my gaze lands on his blue eyes, the concern and fear can be seen from him.

I just stared at him. I don’t know why I suddenly stared directly and didn’t count on him. Is it because of the kiss he did earlier?  I shook my head. Why am I thinking these nonsense things?

Suddenly our attention was aroused by hearing a loud function from behind me. Reign immediately looked at the back, and I also turned my gaze on it. Something is moving closer to where we are. I can’t see it very well.

“Give me a gun,” I heard Reign said, and again, I took my gaze in front. Reign was looking in front seriously, but still, his jaw was clenched. One of his men gives him a thick gun. I don’t know what it’s called, but I can see it a lot in action movies.

I don’t even know what’s going on, and I’m not sure how Reign really feels right, but I’m sure that he’s really furious. I’m sure that the thing approaching our location was the people responsible for sinking the yacht we were riding earlier.

The intense feeling of nervousness engulfed my body when something entered my mind. What kind of world did I really enter?
