Aria

I made sure Lucas wouldn’t suspect what will happen today. I acted like it was a normal day. Thankfully, Luke is asleep. I didn't even tell my son even he is a baby. I am sure he can understand. Leticia and I already designed and put the letters "we're pregnant” on the wall. Blue and pink balloons were all set for the surprise party for our family.

"Ana, please put the cake if we are already here," I ordered her politely.

Ana nodded at me.

"Aria, let's take a picture, solo then, me and you," Leticia said, waving her phone.

I nodded and stood in the middle. She started to click pictures.

"Ana take a picture for us please," Leticia said to Ana.

She walked beside me and I posed hugging her with big smiles on our faces.

"All done, I will leave you guys. I can't wait until Lucas called me to inform this." Leticia said happy and joy-filled in her voice.

"Thank you, Leticia. I can't do it without you." I said and hugged her.

"You can, anyways goodbye." She said and kisses my cheeks.

I walked her to the door and she leaves.

"Congratulations, Aria, we are so happy for you," Rosaline said with a smile reaching to her ears.

"Congrats, you are going to be a great mother," Ana said.

"Thank you, guys."

I gave them a group hug.

"Ma'am the car is already here." Tom interrupts us. I asked Tom to prepare the car earlier and not to tell Lucas.

I will pick up Lucas and he didn't know about it, so the surprise will go smoothly.

I touched my flat tummy. "Daddy will know about you later on baby," I muttered under my breath.

"Take care Luke for me," I said, looking at Rosaline and she nodded.

"You know what to do Ana." I reminded her. They gave me thumbs-ups.

"Let's go," I said to Tom. He guided me through the car and opened the car door for me. I thanked him.

Minutes passed.

"We are here Aria." He said and stopped the car. He got out of the car and opened the door for me to go out.

"Congratulations. Aria." Tom said.

"Thank you, Tom," I said and he replied that he would wait here.

I entered and walked a little bit until I reach the elevator.

I suddenly felt nervous throughout my body. I took a deep breath for me to relax.

Once the elevator dings to the highest floor.

I walked out and saw Sabrina, looking at me. Shocked was written on her face.

"Lucas is there?" I asked her face became pale.

Something’s wrong.

"I..u..yes...w," she said stuttering. I didn't let her finish and walked to Lucas's office.

A big smile formed on my lips. I disregard the nervousness.

I am excited.

"Wait..." I heard her shout, running into me.

I entered the door without looking back at Sabrina and to my surprise.

I stopped on my track. I feel like my heart broke like glass and shattered into tiny little pieces.

I took a step backward; I can’t believe what I was seeing, right now.

Sabrina murmured something. I don't even understand.

Sadness, pain, anger was eating me.

Lucas was there, his hand wrapped around her small waist. Chloe's arms wrapped around Lucas also with her head rested on his chest.

HIS EX-WIFE.

They even don't know that I am here. My eyes started to form tears and start blurring my vision.

I wiped it away.

"Sir" Sabrina said.

"What the f.." Lucas said but stopped when he and Chloe turned to face us.

They even didn't pull out. They look shocked.

Lucas's eyes turned cold and mask the shock on his face.

"Aria, you are here." He said calmly. Sabrina gets out to the door leaving the three of us.

Aria? He used to call me "baby".

"Yes, who is she?" I tried not to break.

I know she is Chloe. I just wanted to come out from Lucas's mouth.

"My friend." He said. I nodded.

Friend.

"Your friend? Only a friend? No past? " I asked seriously.

Chloe's face turned to look at me seriously.

"Yeah, she is my friend. Chloe meet Aria. " He said, looking at Chloe and me.

Just Aria... No additional words.

I am so done here.

Chloe offers her hand but I slapped it away.

"I don't need to do that." I spat angrily to her.

He didn't even introduce me as his wife.

I had enough.

"Congratulation, Lucas for lying in front of me," I said the tears in my starting streaming down.

"No, it's not that what you think," he said, his eyes soften.

"OH REALLY LUCAS! SHE IS YOUR EX-WIFE, and I KNOW HER." I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"YOU FUCKING LIED IN FRONT OF ME. WHY DO YOU STILL LOVE HER?" I cursed and shouted.

He can't even say any word. Chloe just looked at us.

"N..." Chloe tried to talk but I interrupted her.

"I am not talking to you. I am talking to my husband." I spat angrily.

Can I slap her? Of course not, she can probably sue me.

"Leave for now Aria. I'll tell you everything when I got home." He said, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"No, tell me now," I growl.

"I SAID I WILL FUCKING TELL LATER!" He shouted at me.

I stepped backward, flinching in fear.

He cursed me in front of his ex-wife.

What a day!

I wiped my tears away again. Lucas's eyes soften. He regretted shouting at me.

"Did you ever love me?" My voice cracked, trying to hold back my tears.

“You are protecting your ex-wife and not me?” I huffed in disbelief.

“It’s not…” Chloe got in again.

“ I said, I am not talking to you.” I seethed in anger.

He looked at me and tried to touch me but I avoided it.

"I am asking you, did you ever love me?" I asked sternly, trying to be strong but my voice betrayed me.

"I...I don't know" He stuttered and whispered but I heard it clearly.

He doesn't know it means he didn't love me at all. I feel empty, and I am really nothing for him. I gave all my strength and all myself to him just to mend his heart.

I feel used.

I am so done here.

"Trust me Lucas, when I leave here. I won't come back anymore." I said and turned to leave.

“ARIA!” I heard him.

I walked fast, I couldn't run because I have a baby inside me.

RUINED!

I didn't know I already reached the parking. He didn't even follow me.

Sad reality.

I guess this is the end.

"Ma'am, are you alright? Where is Sir Lucas?" Tom asked questions but my tears continuously flowing.

"Just bring me home Tom please." I sobbed.

I couldn't take it anymore. I am tired physically and emotionally.

I regretted my decision.

I got in the car and Tom started to drive.

"Take this Aria." He said, giving me his handkerchief.

I took it and wiped my tears that are continuously flowing.
