Chapter 79: Chapter 79

ALPHA GREYSON (Part 5)

It's not the time to slack off. The Princess has gone missing, and I can't even find her scent! The Rogues' attack killed the couple I had asked to watch after her. After the attack, the Rogues fled, and now I can't find Princess Harper!

"We can't find her scent, your Highness; perhaps she's left the North Snow lands," Miguel stated to me. I clenched my hand and gritted my jaw. This is not a good sign. The Princess has been missing for two days.

"Then searched for her outside the lands!" I grumbled.

"But... your father will notice us—"

"I don't fucking care! Just find her!" I yelled angrily. Miguel stopped speaking and quickly obeyed my orders. I gritted my teeth as I stared at my wine flute. As time went on, my anger toward Dylan grew stronger. I don't care why he does all of this. All I want is to kill him and put an end to his craziness.

Just like Miguel said, my father immediately noticed the entry and exit of my men.

"What have you been up to, Greyson? Some of your men are leaving the palace," Father inquired as we ate our dinner. Mother gave me a glance. I met my father's gaze squarely in the eyes. He knows too much about me, so I have to lie convincingly.

"My investigation into Dylan's whereabouts is still ongoing, Father," I explained.

"Is that their mission, why do they leave the palace?" he confirmed. I nodded and kept eating. He didn't say anything, but I could tell he was watching me.

"What did you find out?" I asked Miguel when they came back. He shook his head. He is unable to look me in the eyes.

"This is what we find while searching for her outside the lands of North Snow Kingdom," he said, handing me a little blood-soaked cloth. When I scented her familiar smell, I clenched my teeth. I can't be wrong. It's her blood.

"Fuck!" I yelled as I smacked my table down. What exactly did Dylan do to her? What happened to her? What in the world happened to her?! Did Dylan successfully take her?

"I'm sorry, your Highness..." Miguel replied quietly. I clenched my teeth as I glanced at the blood-soaked cloth.

"She might still be alive now," I said, hopeful. I cast a gloomy glance at them.

“B-But—”

"You can't find her body, right? Just a shitload of bloody clothes? She's still alive," I assured myself. Miguel gave me a frown. I can see by his expression that he is perplexed by my acts and words.

"We won't stop until we find her," I declared strongly as I exited the office. The passing years I spend finding Dylan and the princess. However, years passed and I was still unable to locate them. It irritated me greatly. It made me ruthless. It made me feel cold. Because of what had transpired, I was constructing a plan without considering other people. I became ruthless.

Nonetheless, I make time to interact with my people outside of the palace. I frequently visit the town to check the people.

"Miguel," I called out as I stood there staring at the people's market. In a shop, I found an Omega acting like a stupid king. Because this is a surprise visit, no one knows I'm here. Miguel and I are hiding our faces under cloaks. When Miguel didn't answer my call, my brow wrinkled. When I looked at him, I noticed he was looking away. I followed his gaze and came across a young woman. Brown hair, light skin. The woman was out shopping for fruits.

"Miguel," I said once again. That almost made him leap. He stared at me right away. I cocked my head. It's self-evident. He has feelings for her. I'm younger than him, yet I recognize his look.

"W-What is it?" he was perplexed. I cocked my brow at him. When he realized I had caught him, his cheeks reddened. He averted his gaze.

"You know her?" I inquired. Miguel and I had known each other since he became my butler. I treat him better than I do my men. He hastily shook his head.

"No,"

I grinned.

"But you like her?" I blurted out. He averted his gaze. I laughed. "Anyway..." I paused and cast a sidelong glance at the idiot Omega. "We have to teach him a lesson," I said, pointing to the Omega I was pertaining to. Miguel quickly nodded and approached the Omega. I was going to follow him when my attention was drawn to something. My gaze returned to the woman, and I noticed a younger girl approaching her. I could only see her back, but her gleaming golden hair was so familiar that I couldn't take my gaze away from her.

"I found... this, Shena!" she said to the woman. She handed her an egg tray. "Thank you!" replied the woman to the girl. I'm not sure why, but something is compelling me to approach her and see her face. I was ready to move towards them when I heard a disturbance coming from the Omega and Miguel's direction.

"Forgive me, your Highness!" exclaimed the Omega as he stared at me. Everyone is now staring at me. They all know I'm here now. Everyone gasped when they saw me take off my cloak. When they spotted me, they quickly went down on their knees.

I glanced about for the woman and the girl, but they weren't to be found.

Even after I returned to the palace, that image lingered in my memory. That hair... It was nearly gold that I remembered the Rema people. However, then... It's also not impossible to have that hair if you're from the North Snow Kingdom because you may be half Rema or whatever, after all, we're simply neighboring kingdoms.

I brushed it aside and concentrated on my mission. But not long after that, a conflict broke out between Rema and the North Snow Kingdom. I learned that the Alpha King of Rema Kingdom, Prince Troy's father, was plotting to assassinate my father because they had discovered the truth about what had transpired and why Prince Henry died. Yes... The Rema people had no idea why Prince Henry had died... They only know that Prince Henry's presence in our kingdom coincided with the rogue's attack on our territory. They had no idea that Prince Henry had protected my father.

They are currently organizing an attack. Dylan is most likely celebrating right now. This is exactly what he intended. This is what he wants. He wishes to destroy each empire in order to satisfy himself. I clenched my teeth and attempted to speak with Prince Troy. He's the only one I can talk to sanely right now. His father is so enraged at us that if I talk to him, he'll probably sever my throat!

"I told you I couldn't stop my father; I'm just carrying out his orders; I'm just a Crown Prince, Prince Greyson," Prince Troy shrugged.

"You are the Crown Prince; you can make a difference! This is Dylan's plan! If we allow our kingdoms to clash, he will be the first to celebrate everything!" I was a little frustrated.

"I know. I'm not as stupid as my father; I know what's going on," he said, raising an eyebrow. I remained silent. I don't always comprehend Troy's thinking. We're not really friends, and I'm not particularly fond of him, but he's the only person I can get close to right now. I can't blame him for being that way. Unlike me, Dylan is my sole difficulty, yet he appears to be his adversary, with his entire clan attempting to overthrow his reign.

"What are your plans, then?" I inquired. He gave a nasty grin. After all, I don't like him.

"Nothing," he simply stated. What he said made my head spin.

"What?!" I exclaimed, angry. He smirked as he saw my reaction. Is he serious now?

"Just let them kill each other," he murmured as if everything will be great. I clenched my teeth.

"That's stupid," I muttered as I prepared to leave when he mentioned something.

"If they die now, Greyson, we'll be the Alpha King, and then we'll have power and will finally be able to move freely like we wanted... and then... capture Dylan without any hindrance," Troy added. I returned my attention to him. He was looking at me intently.

"You're ridiculous," I stated just now. I turned to leave again, but before I could, I heard him speak.

"Once you become Alpha King, you'll be able to find my cousin without anyone getting in your way..."

Despite my surprise at what he said last, I continued to depart. I don't know how he found out about the search for the Princess. I clenched my teeth because... Troy is aware of something about me... damn it!

And later, when the war was over... Troy's father died, as did my father and mother. We became the Alpha King of our own kingdom two days later and held a coronation for us.
