Alpha Greyson's workload increased in the days that followed. The palace guards have also been more dispersed throughout the palace. While I was simply studying my surroundings. I also asked Gina and Yna to assist me by reporting anything unusual to me right away. Kylie and Rose have been assisting me in locating books about the North Pack and its documented history.

So far, the only thing I've read is the conflict between North Snow and Rema Kingdom, in which Alpha Greyson's parents were killed. I also noted that only the most crucial information is provided. Perhaps they did not go into too much detail about what happened at the time. I also read about the time when everything was going on. Where an Alpha of the South White Pack was killed by a Rema Kingdom bandit.

And I'm aware that the Alpha mentioned here is Alpha Ricci, Dylan's father. When I heard the door open, I put down my book. I hurriedly put the books I was reading away. I noticed Kylie at the door.

"Beta Miguel is here," she said. I shifted my seat and nodded. Beta Miguel walked in. He was frequently accompanying Alpha Greyson in preparations across the kingdom. That's why it's surprising that he's here right now in front of me.

"What is it?" I asked after he bowed of respect for me.

"Your Majesty, the Alpha King wants you in his office," he continued. I stood up and followed him. When Alpha Greyson wishes to summon me to his office, he usually tells Kylie to do so. He stated that he did not want another man approaching me. I'm sure he's simply jealous. That's why it's surprising that Beta Miguel is here today.

"What's the problem?" I inquired as we made our way down the corridor. Kylie and Rose, as well as my guards, followed us.

"Perhaps he just wants to check on you," he responded. When we arrived, I nodded and went inside Alpha Greyson's office. Alpha Greyson was sitting in his seat when I noticed him. When he sensed me, he looked at me. He gave me a pleasant smile.

"You're calling me, said Beta Miguel?" His smile vanished as soon as he heard what I said. His brows came together. Is there a problem?

"I told Beta Miguel to ask Kylie to do that; did he come to you personally?" he asked as I approached.

"Yes... He came to the library," I remarked, noting that he was deep in thought. I gripped his shoulders and he looked up at me. "Is there a problem?" I inquired, and he shook his head and drew my waist onto his lap, embracing me fiercely.

"Did you call me to hug me?" I chuckled quietly, playing with his hair as his lips moved up to my neck.

"I just missed you..." he said gently. Because of what he said, I had a broad smile on my face. I, too, missed him. Because he was busier at the palace, the time we spent together grew limited. Alpha Greyson asked about my day, which I eagerly told him about as he listened patiently. We had almost finished conversing when a guard entered his office. He has something to report to him, therefore I must depart.

Kylie and Rose instantly followed me down the corridor back to the library. That's why, while I was walking, I noticed Elder Mateo standing in a corridor corner. His form is veiled; thus, he is less visible. I came to a halt and turned to face the guards who were following me.

"Can you go there first? I just have something to say to Kylie and Rose. It's a girl thing," I said to the guards. They exchanged glances before following me. I looked at Kylie and Rose, who was still confused as to what I was doing.

"I want you both to keep an eye out for me; I just have something to do," I stated as I walked up to Elder Mateo. What is he doing in this hallway's corner? This path is rarely utilized because no one lives in the rooms here. So, what brings Elder Mateo here? As I walked carefully approaching the corner, I held my breath. When I saw Beta Miguel approaching Elder Mateo, my eyes widened and I swiftly hid! Shit! That was close!

As I hid behind the wall, I swallowed hard, but I knew it was enough to hear what they were saying. But what bothers me is the fact that Elder Mateo is waiting for Beta Miguel! They're planning a meeting here!

"What is it?" Beta Miguel inquired coldly.

"I heard from a friend in the North Pack that someone is looking for you," Elder Mateo explained. I gulped hard as I remembered Mrs. Clea. Damn it!

"What exactly do you mean?"

"Someone is looking into you, Beta Miguel, and I have a feeling Alpha Greyson is now suspecting you," Elder Mateo stated sternly.

No... Elder Mateo is Alpha Greyson's lone suspect, and I cannot believe Alpha Greyson's hunch is right, as is my suspicion of Beta Miguel, because they are in conspiration! This is unbelievable!

"No... I don't think that's it. I'm close to Alpha Greyson, and I know his actions. If he suspects me, I'll know, and I'm sure that hasn't happened yet," Beta Miguel stated. I was taken aback since what he stated was true. I honestly don't know how to inform Alpha Greyson about my suspicions!

"Then... who is investigating you?" Elder Mateo inquired, taken aback.

"It's Queen Luna," Beta Miguel says, and my eyes widen. He knows! Then… he feels my suspicions of him!

"What? How will that happen? She knows nothing about it—"

"Dylan forced her to remember everything. She already knows she is the lost princess of Rema Kingdom," Beta Miguel cut in on Elder Mateo's words.

My jaw clenched.

"Fuck! What was your father thinking?!" Elder Mateo expressed frustration. His father... then I'm right. He is Dylan's son!

"He thought he could kill Luna Amara that night," Beta Miguel revealed. "He didn't expect Alpha Greyson to arrive that night."

"Then... let's get this over with as soon as possible; what's your plan?"

"I'm sure Alpha Greyson is jealous of me right now. And it's all according to plan. I wanted him to know about the secret meetings I had with Luna Amara when she was merely a housekeeper. He now believes Luna Amara and I have a shared past; therefore, he keeps me away from here. I just need to ignite that jealousy to make him trust me more than Luna Amara," Beta Miguel said which made me stiffen.

What... the fuck? Is that why Alpha Greyson always seems so serious when I ask about Beta Miguel? He believes Beta Miguel and I have a history?! My rage erupted. He's attempting to set me up! Damn him!

"How will you do that?" inquired Elder Mateo.

“I have to convince Alpha Greyson that Luna Amara is seducing me. If at all possible, I'll make him believe that the child she's carrying is mine," Beta Miguel whispered evilly, my eyes burning with rage. Fuck! What? It's nauseating to know all of this. His plan was so diabolical that I wanted to murder him!

I didn't finish the talk, but instead quietly departed with Kylie and Rose to think of a decent plan so that no one would believe Beta Miguel. I won't let him disgrace me with Alpha Greyson! Damn! I won't let all his bad schemes to happen!

But while walking I didn't notice the man standing in front of me! Because of that I quickly fell down but I was grabbed by whoever I bumped into. I heard Kylie and Rose screaming in panic, and to my surprise, Beta Miguel was holding me! Fuck!

"Are you okay, Luna Amara?" his voice gave me awful shivers. Why didn't I notice that someone was standing in front of me? Besides... I didn't think he was finished with Elder Mateo! So, when I left, they both ended the conversation!

I became chilled from the presence that came close to me before I could push Beta Miguel away from me. I can't possibly be mistaken.

"Amara..." I heard Alpha Greyson's voice, and he yanked me away from Beta Miguel in less than a second.

"What are you doing?" he asked Beta Miguel, his tone as frigid as ice. Beta Miguel bowed respectfully. "Your Majesty, Queen Luna bumped into me, and I just saved her from a possible fall," Beta Miguel said gently. Alpha Greyson's jaw tightened, and he drew me away without saying anything.

I turned around to see Beta Miguel standing there, watching us. Our gazes locked. I saw him smirk and knew right away... that he knows... that I know everything.
