Chapter 29: Chapter 29
Chapter 27
After the dancing, the celebration was over. Alpha Greyson and I returned to the front lines quietly. As Alpha Greyson delivers his final speech to the crowd, I can't help but recall what he said to me while we were dancing. He stated he had known me for a long time and that I didn't remember everything. What exactly does he mean by that? Is he telling me that we've already met?
How did he figure out it was me? Is he certain it was me he met? Because he was right. I have no memory of him.
When the party was finally over, Kylie and Rose accompanied me to my room. I was nervous from the moment I walked into the room. It's all too familiar. I don't even have to ask. It's Alpha Greyson's bedroom! So, in that case... I am going to sleep in his room as well? We'll be sharing the same room!
"We'll going to leave now, your Majesty," Kylie and Rose said as they bid me farewell. I simply nodded and let them walk away. I groaned heavily as I moved my gaze around my eyes. I can't believe I'll be sleeping here from now on. I swallowed hard as I gazed at the large bed. I'm Luna and the Alpha's wife. I knew the time would come when I would have to stand my ground.
I shook my head and dashed to the bathroom for a quick half-bath. I was in the shower room when I heard someone enter the restroom. I immediately became nervous and switched off the shower. I'm sure I won't be spotted here due to the design of the walls. The walls of the shower room are blurred.
"Who is it?" I exclaimed loudly to whoever came in.
"It's me," Alpha Greyson's voice said. I inhaled deeply. It's his room, therefore it's no surprise he's here right now! Why am I such a moron?!
I remembered that he was busy talking to his staff earlier, so I went to his room first. I simply turned on the water again and let him there. I took a look at what he was doing. Even if the walls have blurred my vision, I can still see his every motion. Then maybe he can see the whole of me here despite the hazy walls?!
I have to finish fast then!
Alpha Greyson was brushing his teeth when I noticed him. I can't take my eyes off him. Even though my eyesight of him is unclear, I can see what he's wearing. Even though he is only wearing a robe, he is quite attractive. When it comes to him, you will not find any flaws. He appears to be flawless. If I hadn't known his attitude, I could still be head over heels for him. But... am I not?
When finished I grabbed my robe and put it on. Alpha Greyson is shaving his facial hair in front of the mirror. I became tense. Our first night together has come. I'm curious if... Will we ever get around to doing that?
When I came out of the shower, he looked at me. I quickly averted my gaze and pretended to pick up a toothbrush.
"That's mine," he said, surprising me. I gave him a frown.
"Huh?" I exclaimed, surprised. He lowered his gaze to the toothbrush I was holding.
"That's my toothbrush," he remarked coldly. In disbelief, I looked down at the toothbrush I was holding and nearly dropped it. He is right! It's his toothbrush that I got!
“S-Sorry!" I said hastily and placed it where I had taken it. I grabbed mine right away. Damn it! What was I thinking? Am I insane?!
"Tss," he shook his head and resumed shaving. I went to my sink and brushed my teeth. This is quite awkward. The bathroom is large for us, so why does it feel so small when we're all in it?
I felt that he was done so he left the bathroom. I just let out a sigh of relief. Before leaving the restroom, I dried my hair. Alpha Greyson was sitting on the other side of the bed when I noticed him. I couldn't take my eyes off him as he read a book. Because he is still incredibly attractive while reading a book!
I took a big breath and looked across the bed to the other side. Is it okay for me to sleep there? Can I simply sleep here on the couch? I locked my gaze on Alpha Greyson. Perhaps it's not that bad if I ask, right?
"Alpha Greyson..." I called him.
"What?" he asked, his gaze fixed on the book he was reading.
"Can I just sleep on the couch?" I nervously asked. When he gazed up at me, it seemed like my heart was about to leap out of my chest. His eyes are as cold as they always are. But there's something unusual about it tonight. He seemed to be amused.
"Why? Are you afraid I'll rape you?" he asked, widening my eyes and shaking my head.
"N-No! That is not the case! I just think... I'm not used to sleeping with... someone else... in the same bed," I explained.
He cocked his brow. "Then... are you saying you don't want to sleep in the same bed with me because you're afraid I'll stink or something?" he asked. What he stated heightened my fear. Why is he thinking in that manner?
"I didn't say you're stinky! I said... forget it!" I grumbled as I stepped closer to him and laid down on the opposite side, feeling his gaze on me.
"Don't worry, I won't force you to do anything," he added, forcing me to look at him, and my heart raced as our eyes locked. "Unless you do something disobeying my words," he stated coldly, returning his gaze to his book.
"Tell me... what do you mean by what you said earlier? While we're dancing?" I bravely asked.
"It was nothing more than the past," he added.
"So, you're saying I'm a part of your past?" I'll ask. He closes the book he was reading and turned to face me. My eyes widened as he drew his face closer to mine, and I blinked again as I felt his breath caressing my lips. Damn! Damn!
"Let's make a rule, Amara," he stated coldly, and I gulped hard. "You're not allowed to ask me anything, especially if it's personal. And you'll do anything if I tell you to. Are we clear?" His voice gave me chills.
My lips were parted. His gaze landed on my lips, making me even more apprehensive.
"And one more thing..." he said quietly, closing the gap between us even further. Because of how close we were, I almost fell out of bed. "You'll only talk when I ask you, and if you break any of my rules, you'll get your punishment," he continued quietly.
