Chapter 19

I was so taken aback by the events that I couldn't help but push Alpha Greyson, even though my wolf begged me not to. The sensation made me tremble. I can't believe this is actually happening.

Out of everyone...

"I can't believe it," he said after I pushed him. As my chest never stopped breathing deeply, the distance between us grew. Because of the intense emotions I was experiencing, all of my muscles were trembling.

Alpha Greyson is my mate...what the hell is going on?!

"You...are my mate?" he asked, baffled. He appears to be astounded by what he has discovered. When our gazes locked, I was nervous. His blue eyes had become sharp and dark. But my wolf has only gotten fuzzier. It wishes to be set free. It wishes to make contact with him. And by the way, his blue eyes lit up, I knew we were on the same wavelength.

"M-Maybe it's just a misunderstanding," I wondered. This is what I didn't expect to happen out of everything that could happen. I never imagined myself as a possible mate for Alpha Greyson. I never imagined the Moon Goddess would be able to pair Alpha Greyson with me.

This is not right.

"A misunderstanding? " His voice was dark, which made me nervous. I'm not sure what makes him so angry. Perhaps he doesn't want me to be his mate. He's hoping for a better woman. Unlike me, who has no parents, is impoverished, and lacks identity.

"Yeah...I should...leave and—"

"Let's see then if this is a misunderstanding," he said quickly, and he was in front of me in an instant. He grabbed my neck and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer to him. His hard body brushed up against mine. My body became extremely hot. When I felt Alpha Greyson's warmth, I felt even more of my wolf's pleasure.

"W-What are you doing, your Majesty?" I exclaimed hysterically, but he didn't respond, instead, he gave me a deep kiss. My eyes are acutely aware of what has occurred. My body stiffened while my knees relaxed. I would have fallen to the ground if he hadn't grabbed my waist. As he pressed himself even more into me, I grabbed his arm.

The fire that was previously burning is now raging. His hungry lips attacked mine. I could hardly breathe between his kisses. I closed my eyes as he bit my lower lip, causing my lips to part. He took advantage of the situation by inserting his tongue into me.

As his tongue grazed all four corners of my mouth, I moaned. I've never felt like this before. I, too, have never been kissed! This was my first time, and I could feel my body wanting it so badly.

He leaned me against a tree and kissed me more passionately. I'm struggling to breathe. I attempted to push him, but he was too powerful. Alpha Greyson is hungrily kissing me. He seemed to be longing for it. I'm not sure if I'm imagining things or if it's because...I'm his mate.

Then...am I truly...accepting that I am his mate?! Is it true that I am the Alpha King's mate? Alpha Greyson Ruiz's mate?

When Alpha Greyson stopped kissing me, my lips swelled. When I saw his red lips, which were also moist from kissing me, I softened. The fire in my system never went out; in fact, it grew stronger by the minute.

"We're mates," he said solemnly. I still can't believe it. It is really true.

"A fucking housekeeper..." I could sense the disdain in his voice. My heart hurt. I knew it was going to happen. Alpha Greyson will not take this lightly; especially given how much I owe him and how mad he is at me.

"I-I'm sorry...you can...reject our mate bond if you want; I won't complain. Forgive me, your Majesty," I sobbed before fleeing the scene. I didn't consider leaving Alpha Greyson to be a major sin.

I shut myself away in our room. I'm not even afraid now of Alpha Greyson or Mrs. Clea because I left my job before the party ended.

As I sat on my bed, tears streamed down my cheeks. I'm not sure whether I should be happy or angry that I'm Alpha Greyson's mate. I've loved him since I was a child, but now that I've gotten to know him, I'm afraid. And, on top of that, I'm still not over my problem with Shena; and now this problem is happening.

Alpha Greyson dislikes me. I am certain of it. Especially since he himself stated that I resemble the people of Rema kingdom. The Rema kingdom is the North Snow kingdom's rival, and it is also the cause of his parents' deaths. Another thing is that he is upset with me because of my past debts to him. Maybe he'll just take advantage of the situation to torture me even more.

That night, I went to sleep. I had no idea how the party ended. All I could think about was getting out of here without Alpha Greyson noticing.

That's why I woke up early in the morning to get away. I knew what I was doing was wrong and that if I was caught, I would be sentenced to death, but I had no choice. Alpha Greyson is a threat. I'm not going to let him have me.

I brought everything I needed. It's excruciating, but I have to leave this place. Yna and Gina are dear friends, and it pains me that I won't be able to say goodbye to them. Mrs. Clea is the same way; she's a nice lady. She resembles Mrs. Vikki. And I'll be eternally grateful to her for everything she's done for me.

I dashed out of the palace, wearing my black hooded cloak jacket. I went through the forest because I knew there was an escape route out from the palace. I went for a walk and ran in the morning. I'm out of breath, but I'm not going to stop. Until I got to the end. My suspicions were correct; there was a cave here that could have been the tunnel leading out of the palace.

I entered the cave. Until I noticed the light. When I saw the road, I smiled broadly. I quickly walked ahead and crossed the street. I arrived at the market. There were already a large number of people present. I went to a small restaurant when I was hungry.

"Did you hear the news?" I overheard two elderly people eating lunch next to me ask.

"Yes! I heard it! The Alpha king has finally found his mate!" the old woman exclaimed, and I came to a halt.

"I heard some rumors that the woman was from Rema kingdom..." the person she was speaking to became nervous.

From Rema kingdom?

"But some say she's an orphan, and I'm not sure she's Rema's. However, some claim that she is of Rema ancestry."

"However, I hope the Alpha King simply rejects the bond because Rema's blood is not good in this kingdom; they are our greatest rivals! They were the ones who started the trouble when they kidnapped Alpha Greyson back then!"

What, Rema previously kidnapped Alpha Greyson?

"And we were blamed for their princess going missing! All of this would not have happened if Alpha Erick had not befriended the brother of Rema's former Alpha king."

Alpha Erick is Alpha Greyson's father. I'm not sure what they meant, but it seems to have something to do with Rema and the North Snow kingdom.

The Rema kingdom blamed North Snow for the missing princess. I'm sure this princess is related to the Rema kingdom's Alpha king. It is said that Alpha Erick befriended the brother of Rema's former Alpha king, and...the latter...Rema previously kidnapped Alpha Greyson.

When someone sat in front of me, I was drinking my water. I froze when I realized I knew exactly who sat across me. He was also dressed in the same black hooded cloak. It's covering his face, but I recognize him even without looking at him.

My entire body was freezing. My heart almost jumped out of my chest when he lifted his head and his blue eyes met mine.

"Do you think you'll be able to get away from me?" he asked coldly. People were around us, but I knew they didn't recognize the person in front of me because his face was obscured by a hoodie. But I can see his face clearly up close.

"I told you...I despise sneaky brats," his voice made me take a deep breath.
