Chapter 9: Chapter 9
**Cassie’s POV**
A year passed, and like wine, our relationship became the sweetest. Kaiden is a consistent gentleman, and as a boy, I watched him become a man.
In terms of physique, I also watched him go through an evolution of appearance.
Kaiden gained more muscle, but it suited him. It does not look weird or awkward for his body structure. He still looks like a fine man. He also grows a light mustache, just enough to make him more mature-looking.
We are also living together. Yes, my brother and especially my dad already agreed with it, but they said that until I was married, I and Kaiden should live in a house nearby my dad's house.
My brother is still the same. They are still not serious in terms of finding their mate. They are still playing like teenagers. I hope they can find their mate and learn their lesson now.
Right now, I am cooking in the kitchen of my family. My brothers are still sleeping. I know that it was 3 in the morning when they came home. How dare they smell alcohol? I know because my dad called me. Those three brothers of mine were rotten spoilers to my dad, and now Dad has suffered the consequences. His boys do not listen to him anymore. I am the only girl who, having acquired my mom's brute strength, can discipline those pieces of brainless meat.
"What are you cooking today, Cassie?" Dad asked me while he was sipping his usual cup of black coffee. His old-fashioned reading has a newspaper structure.
"The usual evil pancakes of mine." Yup, you heard me right. I am cooking extremely spicy pancakes for my brothers. This is a little punishment—I mean, treat—for them based on how they behave!
Ever since I left this house, they have been wreaking havoc and showing how childish they are.
I saw my dad gulp; it looks like he is also scared, and what I said to him made him shiver.
"Do not tell me what it is made of," he hangs.
"Yup, with extremely spicy jalapeno! Enough to kill their hangover for this morning," I said to my dad.
"Do not worry, Dad! Of course, your pancake is just the regular," I said. It looks like it gave him relief.
"Thanks, Luna," he sighed.
After five minutes, I saw my three brothers going down the stairs. They are touching their heads, frowning because of the obvious headache; that is what will happen if they abuse alcohol.
About that matter. Yes, werewolves indeed have a huge alcohol tolerance; sometimes it has been called a resistance, wherein we are not entirely affected by liquor.
But werewolves like the idea of being wasted. Yes, we have huge envy for humans that can get wasted because of alcohol, so through the use of that bar, which has to be permitted to produce alcohol mainly used for humans, we can now get drunk.
Simple: if we can add a minimal amount of dried wolfbane leaves to the fermented fruit juice, we can now be drunk.
Back on what is happening right now, It looks like Marcus, Tom, and Ben are frightened enough to see my shadow. They did not expect me here. Especially if they are after making a crime.
"Good day, boys," I said to them with a huge smile. The smile that is sufficiently making them scared is scaring the snot out of them.
"What are you doing here?'' Marcus asked with a scared expression.
"Why? Did you all not miss me so much? Your little sister?" I asked them. "I even cooked a lovely breakfast for you all," I said to them, still acting innocent.
"I do not trust that food," Tom whispered, but with how strong my sense of hearing is, I still catch his words.
I acted like I was chopping the board with a very sharp knife, and they know what it means.
Like the speed of light, they put themselves in their respective chairs. I serve them my special pancake. They know what it means, but still, they eat them.
''Fuck! Give me water!" Tom shouted at the top of his lungs like a parrot.
"Shit! Shit! Where is the milk? Where is the milk?" Marcus pitched at the top of his lungs.
"Fuck! Why is this so spicy?!" Ben screamed. I am satisfied enough after seeing them retaliate for their sins.
If you will tell me how evil a sister I am right now, I am not. I will never do this if they are just drunk, but they are drunk with casualties. I heard that they did some messing around at the famous werewolf bar last night. I heard it from my husband since he knows what is happening inside his territory.
"Now you know why I am doing this, right? It does not mean that we are not living under the same roof, and I will not be liable for all of your mistakes. I care for you all; if something happened to the three of you, do not you think that I would not feel something bad about it?"
They resemble a small toddler who is being preached to. I have to tell them what is wrong. If not, they will just be a walking disaster. I know how hard-headed they are, but when our mom died, they promised to be someone who would listen to me.
In the end, they all apologized to me. They have to repent for the mistakes that they have made.
Here is your sister. She is your sister, and at the same time, she is the next Luna in this pack. You all three should be glad that your sister cares for all of us."
After that little talk, I cooked a proper meal for them. When they are full and satisfied, I leave them some snacks and walk home. I saw my mate, Kaiden, waiting for me in our living room. It looks like he is nervous.
"How was it?" he asked. To be honest, my husband is more dominant and strong compared to my brother, but Kaiden respects my brother too well.
"They are just fine; just a little chili on their pancakes," I said like it was nothing.
My friend's jaw dropped to the ground. My news is shocking enough for him.
"That is terrifying."
I nodded and pecked a kiss on his lips.
"If you will be nice rather than naughty, you will just eat good food rather than my special food."
He cackled and gave me a tight embrace. "Yeah, I hate special food."
