**Cassie’s POV**

I woke up in a strange fancy room. I can see that I am inside a very luxurious hotel room if I am not mistaken. But why would a very rich human, just a conclusion, will kidnap me?

I look in the mirror and I am now dressed in a pretty dress. It is a white, above-the-knee dress, and it made me even more confused knowing that the agenda of the kidnappers start to be vague. It is my birthday today! What the hell?

I went to the door, and surprisingly it is not locked so I opened it. I became alert when I saw that there is no one in this corridor, such, as there are flower trails on the red carpet. I think I am seeing where it will go now.

I follow the trail until I reached a very big door. As I opened it, there is a fancy party inside that big room. I think I am not supposed to be here.

I tried to back away, but I was bumped into a hard wall or rather a hard chess. It is no other than Derek and Dax wearing a fancy suit, looking as handsome as ever.

“Someone can care to explain what is exactly happening here?” I asked them. I am supposed to be at home, cooking dinner, and serving them a small feast.

“I am sorry, but this is our birthday surprise,” Dax said scratching the back of his head.

I am so surprised by what they said. “You!” I sighed. “Don't do that again, you frighteningly surprised me with how scared I am when I woke up in a strange room, and I am so worried about my son who I have been with, because what if there is something happened to Charlie,” I said, and my tears started to fall on my face.

Both of them hugged me. “I am so sorry, it looks like it is a bad idea to surprise you.” Well, I think now is my turn to feel guilty.

Looking at this venue, they spend money and effort just to accomplish it. Of course, I am so moved by how much they can give me this much.

“I am so sorry if it looks like I did not like this, I do, but let us say I prefer a much simpler way of celebrating my birthday. Of course, I love this! I am also a woman that dreams to be a princess, snd today, I feel like one. I am truly grateful and happy,” I said to them, and I hope I can show them how sincere I am in showing my sincerity.

“If that is what you want, but let us enjoy this night shall we.” She agreed with what he said. Maybe Dale is also part of this surprise. After all, the sneaky vampire looks suspicious ever since this morning, and I bet Derek bribed that bloodsucker. I should do something about my boss later on.

And speaking of the devil in his red suit, with his wine glass again, and I bet he is drinking some blood right now with some kind of fragrance to disguise his nasty needs. I am not prejudicial, but it is disgusting to me.

“It is your birthday today, my dear Secretary, but you are looking at me like I am not invited to your party, your boss is hurt,” Dale said acting in pain. I hope I can make it real, I mean the pain, I want to turn his fake pain expression into real.

“Tell me, what Derek gave to you to accept this birthday vacation?” I said sarcastically. His smiles faded and tried to back away.

“I remember, I have to take some food! Bye!” You are little! Anyway, we will see on Monday, I will probably do something to make it even to Dale.

“Is he making your work difficult? I mean, I can do anything to bargain you again from Dale. That shit is still shit, and I remember that he is a vamp-” I stopped Derek from talking about such a very confidential matter midway.

“Derek, there are lots of humans here. If they will hear you, rumors will start, and that is something that we don't want to happen. Remember, our existence should be a secret no matter what,” I said to him. Unlike Dax who is well-behaved so I have no problem at all, I am more afraid of the big bad mouth of Derek.

“Okay, I am sorry, I will put that in my mind.” He looks like a dog scolded by his owner. So I pat his head.

“It is alright, don't be upset, tonight is my birthday, and I want everyone to be as happy as me. This is so memorable for me.” And looks like I succeed in making him smile. Derek looks more aggressive in terms of characteristics. He has this angst and more of a risky type of behavior, but moreover, he has this fragile part.

“How about me?” Dax said and looks like he doesn't want to be ousted. I am so happy with his puppy eyes.

So I patted his head. “Good boy, now shall we eat? I am starving,” I said to them, and they guided me to our table.

“Mom!” Charlie said, and oh goddess Luna, he looks so handsome with the white suit!

“My son looks dashing! You are still young but you can capture anyone's heart, you just have to smile,” I said to him. He is now blushing.

“Mom, you are also pretty, by the way, this is my gift, I hope you will like this mom,” he said handing me a small box.

I am so touched because I remember when Kaiden is still with us, my son and he will prepare something for me on every occasion. As you know there are lots of things that change in a span of a few months, but I can see that something remains untouchable.

One by one they give me their gift. This night is something that makes me happy, and I wish it could last for longer.

ALTHOUGH there is no need to have such an extravagant celebration, I can’t deny the fact that this is so lovely. Like I felt I came back to the time of my teenage dream. When I was younger, I started to be a pack warrior, but like any other girl, I also dream of being a princess, although that sounds so absurd, I am really grateful to these two boys.

I am just having these thoughts of why they suddenly started to be close to each other. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like seeing them on good terms rather than fighting like cats and dogs, but I am just confused and surprised.

It is not a secret for me that they both like me for some reason, but I am having doubts now, especially now that they are Converted into werewolves too. Will they start fighting their mate soon? Why did I feel like breaking into pieces just thinking that someday they will find their fate? Am I selfish for thinking this way?

“Hey, stop frowning, today is your day my dear sister,” Tom said, my brother looks handsome as well, maybe because it runs on our blood?

“I am fine, Sam, don’t mind me,” I said to him, dismissing his further wide imagination. I can sense that he will start teasing me now.

“Why? Why can I smell that someone will be jealous?” he said while pointing to Dax and Derek talking to some woman who looks so beautiful compared to me.

“You and your baseless accusations again, just go to your mate and have fun, I want to go somewhere,” I said to him and started to walk away.

I clenched my fist, but I have no right to get mad because I am just I am. My desire to be loved is just my desire. If they desire to love someone other than me, I have no reason to keep them by myself. It should be beneficial since they will no longer need to be dragged into my own mess.

I am staring at the starry sky. The wind blows, and it is so cold since winter will be here again. I closed my eyes, wishing that my happiness would last longer because I have too much sadness in my heart that I needed happiness.

“Wine?” said an unfamiliar voice. I look at my back and a handsome young man is looking at me with a smile. I took a glass of wine and sniffed, nothing suspicious.

“Why are you alone here? I guess you are the birthday celebrant. I am an investor in Mr. Derek Company, I learned that you are his ex-secretary,” he said with a hint of something in his tone.

“Just go straight to the point, because I have no time to solve your puzzled words,” I said to him with a little threat on my tone. I hate these types of humans, very sly and do not show their wicked side, but I can sense where this will come from.

“Feisty,” he commended with his hand on his chin like he is looking at my soul, searching for any flaws. “I like women like you. Do you want to be my wife?” he said with a grin on his lips.

I don’t care anymore if I will make a mess here; I will just break the neck of this disrespectful bastard. But before I can lift my fingers, Derek and Dax are at his back.

“Mr. Meyer, it looks like you have a death wish,” Derek said with his darkened expression. He put his hand on Meyer’s shoulder and clenched his hand, and I can hear how his bone broke with how powerful a certain werewolf's hand was.

“Please! Stop! I will never dare to do this again,” he said. I have no choice but to stop them, because even Art wants to lift his arms and punch this bastard until he becomes a lifeless corpse.

“Stop, the both of you. I can manage this,” I said to the both of them, and they started to back off.

“Mr. Meyer, you proposed to the wrong person. You can marry me, in your dreams,” I said before giving a semi-strong blow on his tummy, enough for him to get unconscious.

“Oh, that looks painful,” Derek commended with a smile on his face.

Sighed. “Let’s go back inside shall we? I bet the ladies are waiting for both of you.

Derek went to my back, and Art was in front of me. You can imagine them starting to sandwich me in this kind of position. “What the hell are you two doing?” I asked them. Damn! I can’t even hide the nervousness in my words.

“Chill, we can sense that you are jealous,” Derek said.

“Cassie should know that my heart, our heart is yours,” Dax said with sincerity in his voice.

But my mind is so clouded right now that any minute I will be unconscious also. “Stop! You are making me feel embarrassed,” I said to them. I am so thankful when they make a distance.

We went back from the balcony, and I think my birthday celebration will end here, and by the way, I noticed my brothers looking at me with that annoying smug look when they noticed that I came back with these two guys. It has been a while since I cooked a very spicy pancake for my brothers.

But to my surprise, it is still the end since there is a rented room here in the hotel, where to my surprise there are lots of boxes here wrapped in beautifully decorated wrappers. Just wow, but there is something wrong here.

“Wait, are you all there for me?” I asked them. I don’t want to wipe those proud smiles in their place, but just what.

“You know that I have a small apartment, so where can I put all of these?” I asked them. I am surprised that my boss, Dale, is already at my back with a proud smile on his face.

“I think this is a great bonus for you since you work hard and the business is doing well since we closed many deals, here take this,” Dale gave me a door key. What is the meaning of this?

“Ah, what?” I said in confusion, I am really sorry that this day is so eventful that my mind is turning blank already.

“Are you really this dense if you started to be in love?” Dale started to tease me. This vampire, I should make something for my boss. Can you suggest any silver-made cupcakes with garlic fillings?

“I am just joking, of course! Stop giving me that kind of death glare! This is a condominium building key,” Dale said with a proud smug smile.

“I also got my new car keys, and I already bought the condominium unit on your side, so we will not be apart from my best friend,” Angel said to me. Then it seems like it is fine with me, because Dax will not go too far.

But how about my brother and dad? I don’t want to go too far from that. “We are also moving, so don’t be sad, I know you will miss your handsome brothers,” Marcus said. This idiot has a lot of self-confidence in his body!

“Whatever Marcus, but I can sense that Derek owned that Condo building right? Don’t me,” I said to them because I busted their plan. They might think that I will refuse since they know what I might be thinking now.

I dismiss the further agreement, this Dale is talkative, he is giving me a headache. Now is my time to open my gift. So these important people in my life gave me a very comfortable chair, and they started to line up. My son gave me another gift, and I am so touched because it is a scarf.

“Hi, Mom, this is because winter is near and I want to keep you warm and cozy even when you are at work, I love you, Mom!” You don’t know how hard it is for me to stop myself from crying again.

“Thank you, son, just your existence is enough of a gift for me, always remember that,” I said after kissing him on his forehead. My Charlie is fast growing. He will soon be an adult. Werewolves grow twice as fast compared to humans, but when we reach twenty, we slow aging.

Next, of course, my dad. If not for him, I would not be here anymore. They are my strength and foundation. I still remember when we lost my mom, he is the one who raised us alone, and I am so proud to be his daughter.

“Angel,” I said, still not believing what the content of her gift was.

“Used it properly, okay?” She winked, and I am so embarrassed.

Next is Dale, he is now scared for his life since I warned him twice today. “Okay, don’t look at me like that, this is my real gift now, no joke! Have a great year, as my secretary,” he said, handing me his gift. And I was so surprised when I saw that it is a rare pendant.

“This is so precious, how can I accept this?” I asked him. This is a pendant made by a rare and expert witch or magician. It is a pendant that can remove anyone’s weakness. For example, when a vampire wears it, he will be immune to garlic, and holy relics, while if I wear this pendant, I will be immune to silver materials.

“Don’t worry; I have another one of those. Of course, I will not let my almost perfect secretary get hurt, just work harder from now on,” he said. Wow, after all, he is the one who loves slacking off.

Next, I saw one of these guys who can make my heart go crazy. I cannot see how thankful I am that I met Derek. He is such a sweetheart.

He gave me a bouquet of flowers. And it is so beautiful. “Thank you,” I said as I received his gift.

“Of course, other than that, I have something for you,” he said to me. That made me surprised and worried since I bet he already spent a huge amount on this birthday celebration. I don’t think I have the heart to accept another gift from him.

“What are you saying? You already spent so much, this flower is enough for me to be happy, all I asked is for you and Art to stand by my side,” I said to him.

He shook his head. “Your happiness is my happiness. I can’t imagine my life without you, so please I want to give everything to you,” he said, and I think I can’t stop him from doing what he wants.

“Fine, but next time don’t spend too much for me, okay?” I remind him not to do this again, because I am not someone who lives with luxury in life, even though I became a Luna before, I didn’t live an extravagant life, so I can’t see why I should have all of these.

“I can’t promise that, but here is my gift,” he suddenly gave me a very precious-looking necklace. And it is a pink diamond! This guy, really?! DOES HE KNOW HOW MUCH THIS DIAMOND COST? It is literally so expensive!

“This is really the last time I will accept such a very expensive gift from you. I can’t even wear this outside, because I will be so afraid to wear it and this to be stolen,” I said to him. Of course, I can easily punish the thief, but I can’t just transform into a werewolf just chasing a thief.

“Okay, I will just give you a world trip,” he said. That does not sound so bad at all! I also love going to different places!

Next of course, my fragile man. The man that I can compare to an innocent pup, my Dax. He is so damn cute and squishy even though he is so muscular also. Like I want to hug him! Like right now! So I did.

“Hey, don’t be shy, we are just the people here. I am even so happy that slowly you can face your fear now. I am so grateful that I can be a help for you, Dax, thanks for making this celebration real,” I said to him.

“I might not be rich like Derek, but I hope you appreciated all my efforts,” he said before giving me a bouquet.

“Yes! I appreciate it so much! Thank you, Art, like I want to thank you for protecting my son, and for being here, I can say them all because you give me such a passionate and genuine love! I hope you will stay by my side, Art, I really wish you do,” I said to him, because I was too scared to wake up, and noticed that they are no longer on my side.

“I will always be by your side, Cassie. Like you, my world revolves around you,” he said to me, and I am so thankful because of that. He gave me his gift, and it is so cute because it is a sweater he made himself.

“I will really wear this one when winter starts,” I promised Dax

“Mom! It is already snowing outside,” Charlie said happily, and this is how my birthday celebration ended.

The next morning, guess what? I have a massive hangover since the adults at the party have drunken games, and I also belong to that group. I am so sorry if I already used my father’s gift. It has been a while since I got drunk, it feels great not until the hangover hits my whole senses.

“My head hurts,” we both said. And I am so surprised that Derek is sleeping beside me. We are still in the hotel room. I felt relieved when I saw that I still had the same dress as last night, safe.

“Hey, don’t be worried, Cassie, I will never do that, we will never do that we will violate you with any consent, okay?” Derek said with a smile that gave me reassuring vibes. Right, I should trust them from the very beginning.

“Thank you for making me safe, but where are the others?” I asked.

“They are in the other room, by the way, wearing this, it is getting colder outside.” Right, I think this is the start of winter.

“Thank you!” I thanked him again, sighed. Now my biggest problem is how to give something. I will also plan for Christmas. I have so many things to do.
