Chapter 61: Chapter 61

**Cassie’s Pov**

We arrived in Kyoto, a little bit far from Tokyo. If the capital of Japan is alive and more modern with huge buildings and technology, it is the opposite of what Kyoto is.

Kyoto is a place where you will find peace, the heritage of culture, silence, and relaxation. Derek mentioned that he buys a vacation house here in Japan for a dual purpose. Whether he wants to relax or for business purposes, since some of the Japanese investors have a huge role in the success of the company,

We finally arrived at the vacation house, and it is beyond what I was expecting. This is not simply a house, but a huge villa or mansion per se.

I can see the three-story mansion from the metal gate. I should never expect less extravagant things from a businessman like Mr. Derek Ross.

And to think that this guy would confess his feelings for me sounds terrifying. Why? Because he is capable of doing anything to get what he wants through money and power. I hope the best for him on the day that I have to reject his proposal. Love is not for me anymore.

I gave my heart to someone, and it does not matter if Kaiden is not here anymore. I can't fall in love again because I am still in love with my mate. No one can love me as he does, and the same goes for me.

A butler opens the door of the car for us. We went inside the huge mansion, and we were greeted by mixed classical and modern Japanese household vibes. The whole interior of this place gives me a shiver because it looks good to the eyes. I appreciate the minimalist style; I love this.

Because we are all hungry, Derek invited us to the dining hall. I should not be surprised at how huge and fancy this dining hall is, but still, I can't help but be star-struck whenever and wherever we go somewhere that he owns.

"Tell us what you want; my private chef will cook something for us." I look at the chef, and I think he can understand English.

"What do you want to eat, son?" I asked Charlie first. He looks around, thinking for a while before deciding.

"Can I get ramen?" I remember that my son loves anime.

"Of course, a ramen chef," Derek requested. "There bowls. Anything else?"

I raised my hand. "Can I have sushi and sashimi? I would love to taste tempura too." I am not usually this hungry, but I also love the idea of appreciating other people's food.

The chef has a fast hand. He makes the food with noticeable expertise. He is cooking in front of us, and in just a few minutes, the whole dining room smells like spices and flavors that linger on our nostrils.

I fought looking like I was salivating for any moment, and when the food was finally served, I had no care for the people on my side anymore.

I just took a bite, and I thought I was sent into heaven, but they pushed me back again.

"This is so good," I said to the chef. The whole meal was filled with moans because the food was too good to not make any noises.

After that lovely meal, we decided to take a long rest before taking care of our business here. I set my alarm and woke up the next morning to complete my remaining task.

I managed to research more about Japanese investors prepared types of proposals, graphs, etc. Also, the proper gesture and key points

That time we met the three old Japanese businessmen, it was the first time that I appreciated my boss. I never thought that he was so fluent in speaking the native language of Japanese people. That is why he did not hire an interpreter.

And it looks like their business talks and meetings were successful. We have remaining paper work to submit and finish for the next three days, but after that, we can finally breathe.

I saw my boss's efforts in dealing with this kind of activity, and I appreciate him so much.

As a celebration, he popped champagne, and my son, on the other hand, has a request for unlimited steak. My son is being rottenly spoiled because of my boss, who takes such a liking to him.

We drank to our hearts' content, and my boss seems like a strong, big guy, but he is not that tolerant of alcohol. Not like me, who only drinks this bitter liquid, but I am not affected at all. Only if this one has a wolfbane mixture.

Because my boss is sleeping, and so is my son. I decided to go out, and the guard let me because I said that I would just unwind for a while.

Everything has felt too peaceful ever since we left that territory. No rogues, no disputes, and no pressure at all. This is the life that I wish I could live with Kaiden. But I know that guy; he will choose to lead the pack rather than leave it for our lives.

And while I am outside, an old Japanese woman wearing a traditional kimono appears in front of me.

"You," he said in a language that I could understand. I felt goosebumps when I realized that he was speaking an ancient language of werewolves.

"It seems that someone will come back to your life. He just goes for a while, but he will be back. He was one single moon before but turned into half. He will be back; you will be happy, but cherish his second chance... Or you will suffer even more."

I blink my eyes, and she is gone now. Who is she? And has she said some sort of prophecy now? What does it mean? Her words...

I decided to go back and I felt getting dizzy. I suddenly felt images running into my brain. I have the same feeling when I dream about Kaiden dying in a war.

Is this a vision again?
