Chapter 28: Chapter 28
**Cassie’s POV**
I don't have any idea if I should believe this guy or not. He looks dead serious in his favor. His ancient power might be worthless for the others, but the ability to see the thread of fate is a deadly and very powerful ability that other clans might underestimate.
"Let's have a cup of tea," I asked him, and Renton immediately nodded in acclaim for my invitation.
We walked the path until we got inside the packing house. I invited him inside, and we went to the living room. The chimney has a fire on it, and the weather is still cold, basically because it does not completely spring right now.
"Rea, can you please get us a cup of tea?" I asked my most reliable people here.
"Of course, Luna."
"Why did you suddenly ask if you could read the lines on my palm? Is there something wrong?" I asked him directly. I do not want to go around in circles.
He nodded. "I can smell death, see the darkness, and there is also a shining embracing upon you."
When I heard the word death, it instantly put a huge fear in my heart. His reading is not the most accurate thing in the entire universe, but it is nearly there.
"What do you mean?" I did not let him see that I am scared like shit right now.
"I practically have the eye of the dragon who sees the stars. My ability reaches beyond the limit; I can see the essence. Essence is the smoke that lingers on living things. This morning I accidentally opened my dragon eyes, and I saw that you have the strongest essence among all of the people here."
A werewolf came from the cursed ancestors of dragons. I do not know how to react to his words right now. I know that based on his expression as we are walking here, he has an anxious face and looks distressed. I know that he will say bad news and bring bad news. But this is beyond bad news.
I hate death. Ever since mom died, and other werewolves that I met who lost their lives remained as memories now. It still breaks my heart.
"Calm your heart. I know that this news might put you on the bad side because you will feel the fear, but I am willing to help you avoid such a fate. If you manage to take the right thread, you will avoid it."
I nodded. "I am willing to do anything."
Rea is nowhere, and she puts the cup of tea in and pours some sugar on it. Renton asked me if he could see the lines on my palm.
Using his fingers, he trails the lines while his eyes turn a creepy shade of yellow and red.
"Blood, Two, Changes, Betrayal, and Chances The star has been decided; death is something that you can surpass, but someone cannot, but will be given a new chance."
His eyes turn back to their original color, and it looks like he felt dizzy from what he had done.
"As much as possible, never try to fight against rogues; I foresee that it can be the source of your death or the deaths of other people around you if you fight back. Fighting means death, so avoid it as much as possible. Especially if your mate is on your side, he will most likely sacrifice himself just to save you."
He just finished his cup of tea and said his farewell. I gulped and took a deep breath. I collected my thoughts and began to think about what was next.
He does not sound like he is kidding or throwing a prank. I know that he is serious, and what he said is also for my benefithat he is serious, and what he said is also for my benefit. He helped me, and Renton said that I could avoid it.
Death.
I walked and saw the light of the moon. The cold breeze touches my skin. I silently whispered in the tin air, Luna, I hope our goddess still protects us. I hope she will not let us fall into despair over the creatures made by her mortal enemy.
I closed the window and started to sleep.
I woke up in the middle of the night because of a tingling sensation on my neck. Someone is kissing me, and I can feel lips pressing on my navel, and it sends thousands of sparkles through my feelings.
"Hm," I moaned as he kissed much deeper on my skin. I felt his wet tongue traveling on my body, kissing me, and his scent was still the same. I would fall over and over.
"Damn, I want to devour you so much," he whispers in his baritone, deep voice in my ears.
"Kaiden, are you not tired?"
"I will never get tired of you. I love you so much, and I will always dream of spending the rest of my life with you," he said. His sweet words gave me every single reason to stay alive and to make it through every day.
Just imagining him going away, not touching him, not embracing him, not seeing his smile, not hearing his voice, makes my heart shatter into pieces.
And tonight, I submitted to him, fully giving him all of me. We share the same heat and flame; we let ourselves decide to be set on fire.
Our moans cannot be suppressed. His lovely tongue traveled all the way around.
I can feel his sharp canine digging on my skin; sharp pain with pleasurable sensation envelopes all single pleasure points of mine.
His fingers are inserted inside of me, and he plays my entrance as if he is teasing me more, making me want him so bad.
"You are mine," he growls, saying that he owns me all the way, every single piece of me.
and I let him.
The next morning, we guided our guests to the entrance. It is their last day today. I know that they have a duty to their territory, and we understand it.
I saw Renton smiling at me, and I smiled back as a token of appreciation. He is the reason there is hope.
He saved me, and he saved us.
"Do you know that dude? He suddenly smiled on you," Kaiden said with his same jealous tone, and even his gritted teeth show that he hates the idea of someone smiling at me like that.
"That guy, he helps me."
