Chapter 26: Chapter 26

**Cassie’s POV**

We heartily greeted the pack, which will help us in the long run. The werewolves of North They are mostly secluded packs, but I think they change now because they have a different leader.

"He is Alpha Red?" I asked my friend, Kaiden. He nodded in response.

"Yeah, and the woman beside him, Letitia, the witch of all runes," he mentioned, almost whispering.

The couple is walking like a queen and king on a different level. I can see their presence, and I am not joking when I say that they are someone who should not mess easily. The presence of death and strength is on their side.

"Greetings, I am Luna of the Blue Moon Pack; my name is Cassie Anderson Clark," I welcomed them with a smile. At least I successfully showed them that I was not intimidated by their presence.

The beautiful lady, who is far from rumors that she is ugly, is a creepy old lady who eats young men. Letitia can be compared to a beautiful shade of a flower that stands out the most.

She has this perfect shade of light blue hair and an eye as violent as I imagine darkness to be. She is shorter than me, but her way of presenting herself, her walking, and her stature speak the most.

"It is our pleasure to meet and welcome this hearty person." The alpha itself, Red said without giving us his smile, is so valuable.

The rumor is true that this alpha only smiled upon his Luna. Such a peculiar man with so much loyalty

He has red hair like his name, but his yellow eyes say that his ancestors came from the bloodline of cursed dragons who turned into werewolves as a punishment by the goddess Luna.

Because it is unpleasant to stay outside when they are our highest visitors right now, we guided them into the villa that we prepared just for our valuable guests.

We arrived at the two-story mansion like this, with a golden fence and a garden inside. The place is as beautiful as the packhouse. This is one of my projects.

Kaiden planned to make more connections outside of our pack. We need help someday because there is no guarantee that we can exist if an attack like this continues.

So if we have a guest like this, they have somewhere to stay. And I think this is the perfect time to show it.

We went inside, and it looks like they are satisfied with their place. The pack warriors they brought have their place to stay at the pack's villa and mansion.

"Such a warm home, and it feels like you prepared so much," Letitia said with a smile on her face.

She moves her hand swiftly, and the chimney on the left side, where the luxurious red couch is, suddenly lifts with fire.

It amazes me to see for the first time how to use magic!

"It looks like you came from a very long ride; you shall have your rest. We also prepared food for all of you," Kaiden said to them.

We gave them their privacy and left the villa. It looks like everything is at least going smoother than expected.

"They are strong," Kaiden muttered in deep thought.

"Do not think too much," I reminded him. He is strong, but I know that no matter how dominating and powerful Kaiden is, there is still envy that visits his heart and mind from time to time.

"Yeah, thanks for reminding me, babe."

We went back to the packhouse, and we took enough rest.

The next day, we were finally ready to depart. We greeted our guests, especially the two leaders in front of us.

"How is your rest?" "We hope that both of you have a charming start to your day," I said to them.

Letitia answered me. "Yes, we had a great morning. Thanks for both of your lovely accommodations."

We started walking in the forest. The magic is limited; Letitia alone cannot protect the whole territory, only the place where all the pack residents reside.

"Before starting the rune magic, we need enough rocks, some flowers that will grow on this place, water, coal, and feathers," Letitia instructed us.

And as much and as fast as we can, we find all the right materials that she needs to create a rune barrier.

In ancient times, it was said on a belief that rogues are bound by evil spirits, created by the goddess of darkness, the goddess that rivaled the power of our goddess Luna. But the goddess Arca is not sealed somewhere, based on tales.

But before she was locked in eternal slumber, she left misery in this world with the cursed rogues. The bloodlust demons want nothing but to kill as they, please.

"Please, cover the whole area with this stone," she said, giving us all of the stone she curved with unknown letters. "Be careful not to erase or remove the runes."

We spread the stone over the whole area in a circle that will protect the whole place. Other pack members help us finish the task as quickly as possible.

I can also see Aron, Kaiden's younger brother, who looks unwell like something bothers him, and I am quite curious about his anxiety expression.

He tries to hide it, but he is starting to be more suspicious as time goes by.

"Are you okay?" I asked him out of nowhere, and he almost jumped like a scared cat. I badly want to laugh at how helpless he looks right now.

"Yeah, why would I not be okay? It is such a relief that this place will be protected."

I can detect lies in his voice, but even I, as a Luna, cannot judge him without enough evidence. He can fool others, but I am different from them.

If he is plotting something dangerous that will harm more people, he should be exploited and punished.
