Chapter 43: Chapter 43
"Good Morning, son" the king stops by Kidron's room to check on him and he finds him busily picking out his clothes. "Where the hell are you rushing to?"
"Dad, all my wounds are healed, as you can see I'm fine." he turns around to show his body to his father, with a towel wrapped around his waist since his just from taking his bath.
Quickly he turns back and begins to dress.
"I can see that all your wounds are gone, it's normal you are a wolf afterall. But you aren't strong enough. You need to rest and gain back your full energy, You look okay and strong, but we both know that you are still vulnerable. That fight nearly took away from your life." the king insists.
"I'm not more a child, I can make my own decision and the energy I have is more than enough for me to mount a horse." he puffs in discomfort. He takes a deep breath and moves towards his father.
"I'm not going there to fight. I'm simply going there too see Eve and I don't think I need a full pack of energy to do that. Please, let's not waste time arguing dad, let me try and catch-up. Perhaps they may leave the camp today and you know what that means, I will never see her again." he clenches his father's arms for a few seconds then he steps out of the room.
"You can be very stubborn at times. What do you expect from this visit?. You expect her to tell you "I love you" but we can't be together or you expect her to leave her future husband for you. His a better party than you are. More to this don't you think of the after effect?. We are just from terminating a fight in which you nearly lost your life, you have barely recovered and still you want to embark on another fight?" the king yells, angrily.
"I don't know why you make a fuss about this. But since you insist on knowing, yes! I'm ready to embark on another fight if it means to be with her forever."
This nearly gives a struck to the king as he widens his eyes, shocked by his son's words. He's so upset that it renders him speechless for a moment "You are crazy!"

• • • • Eve's POV. • • • •
My eyes widen at the very first cockcrow, I lift the animal skin blanket which kept me warm all night long. I peep under the covers and realise that what I have in mind isn't a dream. My eyes widen with a cold chill rolling down my spine.
I discretely move out of the bed making sure not to wake Adams up. I pick up my dresses and I put them on with this question roaming my mind; how or where did I gather this courage to willingly exhibit my nakedness meanwhile I can barely stand my nakedness as if it was that of another person.
Again, thinking about nakedness, memories of his rawness load up my mind making me feel guilty and naughty.
After dressing, I fix the blanket on him and I notice that all his wounds are gone. I move out of the hut to the gloaming sky, the wind blowing is heavy and cold. I stroll to the nearby forest, I sit watching the sky.
Gradually, the gloamy nature of the atmosphere seems to brighten as time passes. I try to distract my mind away from last night's thoughts by analysing the sky all in vain.
The memories keep lingering in my mind like a permanent boil. I can't get it off my mind, bringing a sensation of mixed feelings. I'm not regretting what happened yesterday, still, I can't understand why I was screaming like a mad girl?!. Was it necessary?.
All that could be done in silence. What if they all heard me, "OMG!" I can't stand this embarrassment, we aren't married yet. If Maryline knows this she will kill me all these thoughts makes me nervous.
Adams rolls tapping Eve's side of the bed with his eyes close. His eyes widens as he immediately shudders out of bed. He gets up from the carpet with the blanket falling off his body. The harsh cold stinking his body reminds him that he's naked so he rapidly dresses up.
Worried, he moves out searching for Eve around the camp to no avail. He walks towards the forest. He yells her name as he enters the forest "Eve! Where are you, Even?!"
His troubled voice snatches me out of my deepest thoughts. "Adam, here I am." I get up, hesitate then I stroll in his direction. "What are you doing outside alone in this cold weather?. Let's get in." he grabs my arms.
"It's okay don't worry. You go in if you like." I flinch taking a visible step away. "Is it about last night?." words honestly escapes his mouth. Embarrassed, I lower my stare to the ground.
"Talk to me!. Hmm... Anyway we are going in together it's cold and dangerous for you as a lady." he moves nearer and engulfs my arms. "Please don't insist," I whisper without showing any sign of resistance. I don't have the energy to fight him.
"Ok!." he releases my arms. I move under the tree on which I was sitted before he interrupted, and I sit on its fat roots. He follows me and takes a seat by me quietly without saying a word.
Being around him now isn't what I want, but he won't listen. He can be persistent at times and it's irritating. I frown, he doesn't mind. He remains silent for a few minutes.
"Adams, can't you see that I want to be alone?" I cry. "Why do you want to be alone?" he asks recklessly with his stare fixed on the beautiful blue sky, watching the rising sun.
"It doesn't matter!" I smirk "Just do it!". I keep frowning. "Sorry I won't leave until you tell me what is bothering you. Simply open up to me then I leave."
I roll my eyes angrily "Okay, you win. You can stay here!" I get up. In a flash, he's standing behind me. He clenches my arm before I can take a step further rolling me around to face him. As I lift my eyes, it meets his sparkling eyes and handsome face, this weakens me.
"I want you to feel free with me, open up, tell me everything that bothers you without any restrictions, I'm here for you." he moves the hair coating my beautiful face behind my ear, slowly caressing my face. Giving me some butterflies feelings in my belly.
I'm facing the ground, blushing. He caresses my chin with his soft hands, lifting my face. My eyes get buried in his and my mind goes blanc. "Are you regretting?" he ask in a soft tone as he careful observes my moves.
"No!". I whisper. "What is bordering you then?".
"I'm simply worried, I'm ashamed of myself." words honestly escape my mind. He grins "You don't have to." he slowly moves his lips which acts like a magnetic force as it tugs mine closer.
"My Princess, you have a visit!" a guard interrupts us. "Can't you see that we are busy!" Adams yells bitterly. "Who is that?" I ask the guard who hesitates to reply and it immediately captures Adams attention "Who is it?" in a flash he's in front of the guard pressing his neck.
"The prince of this kingdom." he could barely speak. "Next time when I ask you a question, answer quickly." Adams transfers his anger, pressing his neck so tightly that he's battling not to lose his last breath.
"Killing him is not necessary." I tap him on the shoulders and I move away. He immediately releases the guard and he follows me.
My heart is pounding, I'm worried how Adams will react to this and at the same time I'm happy that Kidron came to see me here.
"I tried to stop him, but he insisted," guards tell Edmonton. The King walked out of his hut, "What the hell is he doing here?" he moves closer "Are you here for my son to complete his work?" the king screams.
Kidron is still mounting his horse a few steps away from the camp when I arrive. I want to move to him "What if this is a trick to capture you?" Adams halts me from moving further.
"It isn't one, trust me," I tell him with confidence. "I think the gods are with us, my son. They have answered my prayers!" the king moves to Adams happily.
Kidron unmounts his horse and he moves closer. The guards surround the camp, making a barrier and lift their weapons in position to attack. He lifts his hands
"I'm not here to fight, I'm here to discuss with the Princess." he moves closer, but the guards are all over him.
Adams looks at me and I nod my head. "Let him in," Adams order and they guards all lower their weapons creating a pathway for him. "What's all this nonsense!" the King moves back to his hut, disappointed.
"Why do you want to discuss with my wife?" Adams get apprehensive. "Future wife!" Kidron rectifies just to piss him off. I mend my surprise stare at him, like seriously?. Kidron notices my weird stare at him "Sorry." he adds.
"How is Elgin." I interrupt before Adams can react. "Can we discuss privately?" Kidron insists. I stare at Admas, he nods "You have to be fast, because we are living soon" he moves away.
"Follow me" I take Kidron behind the hut towards the forest.
"Elgin is still asleep," he says. "So what are you doing here." I wonder. "I just wanted to see you!" he gets passionate. "Aww... Kidron,- it wasn't necessary." I feel sorry for him.
"I heard what you did. You saved my life and the least I can do is to thank you." "Still, it's not enough, you took a big risk by coming here. It's like you don't care much about this life of yours that I saved." I tease. He laughs...
"So when is the wedding?" Kidron asks with so much burden. I take a deep breath "Adams and I will fix a new date as soon as we arrive." "That's great. If it makes you happy, then I'm happy for you." he moves closer.
"My princess, everything is ready for us to leave already. We are just waiting for you." a guard interrupts us. "Kidron I have to leave." I mumble while moving towards the guard.
He takes a deep breath "What was the agreement with you and my father?" he asks. I stop moving when I hear his question. I hesitate. "Just tell me, it has no importance now." he moves closer.
As the hut was removed, I can see Adams standing by his horse impatiently waiting for me. While the others rider away.
"He asked me to save your life no matter the outcome of the negotiations; to marry you if things turn wrong. Sams goes for Elgin. Great her for me if she wakes up." with this said I move to Adams.
Kidron still follows me "Were you ready to do it?" he struts by us.
His presence piss Adams off, yet he keeps calm as he helps me mount my horse and he makes sure we leave immediately. I simply look at Kidron as my horse ride's into the wind. He watches as I fade into the forest.
"Shit!" he moves to his horse, mounts it and rides home.
"What is he talking about?." Adams asks me and I remain speechless. In wrath, he instantly struck his horse and gallops away from me.
