~ ~ A vast kingdom but not as vast as the Solis and the Caelum kingdom and very far away from them. However, greater than the Terre Kingdom and made up of great warriors ~ ~
The air at the palace is filled with an unlimited amount of excitement, as everyone is preparing for the princess' birthday, my day.
"OMG, I'm so excited to finally celebrate a birthday in which I will partake in physically. The amount of love the world is offering me today, is beyond measure. Despite this positivity I feel, it clashes with an unexplainable void deep within me."
Some maids are cooking, decorating the ceremonial hall. As they proceed, the hall changes, with different colours bringing the feeling of a rainbow. A lot of activities are happening at once, everything is seemingly magical. The biggest pig, goat and sheeps were slaughtered, the aroma's all combined can draw even the hungry spirits.
Kidron is back from his errand. While I'm helping in the kitchen. Although all the maids were warned never to let me work but I insisted since I needed something to distract me.
Especially, after spending many months of unavoidable slumber, during that time, I didn't have the time to make friends, so I had no idea of what to do with my spare time. My Life has always evolved around my sickbed and seriously I feel it's more easier than being amongst the living. Anyway, when I'm up any little distraction is welcome.
"What hell is going on here?. Who allowed her to do this?" Kidron barges into the kitchen and finds me helping the maids and this piss him off.
"I insisted to," I answer before any maids can, so as to avoid them the stress. I drop everything and move to him, sometimes it's hard to convince him.
"You don't have to. You're the princess of this kingdom and all of them are under your service. I don't think dad will be happy to hear this, you perfectly know your condition."
"My princess your gown is ready, it's time to measure it." the tailor came searching for me.
"A minute, please. Brother, you worry to much, relax. I'm not a slave. I'm simply offering a helping hand, and I'm enjoying it." I perk him on his cheeks with this said I move to the tailor.
We are in my room trying the robe, "I hope you love it, my princess?" she asks with a confident smile that it's hard for me to disprove her. "Indeed, I do." I smile back. The robe is a very nice, a white balloon gown with puffy hands. Every young girl's dream.
Later, in the evening, everything is arranged and the party began in the big ceremonial hall of the palace. We are sitted on the royal table which is slightly different and above other tables.
After the king's speech, we all ate. After eating, the King and I, his beloved daughter opens the dance floor with royal dance steps, the father-daughter dance was a dream come true. We receive lots of applause after a presentation.
I will rather say that the crowd is happily delivering us out of the dance floor so that they can join and dance. "You dance well, see as they're all cheering you up." from his words, it's clear that dad isn't of the same opinion as me.
Before we could move away from the dance floor, it was crowded. Villagers love such occasions as it's a privilege to get into the palace and above all, it's time to eat, drink for free. Some women came along with very big bags to gather all the remains, which are much better than what they can have daily.
Unfortunately, not all villagers can attend such palace ceremonies, many are always called as announcement usually go around all villages but only a few are chosen. There is no order in the selection since it's a random selection.
I'm happy and super excited to see all these people dancing for my day. However I feel void. I heard a wise saying which says that depression isn't about being sad. Indeed this best describes my situation.
I know many will call me ungrateful, because I still complain despite all the love and privileges I have. They might be right because in deed I consider myself ungrateful but the fact remains that I'm not satisfied, talkless of being contented, I don't feel at home.
As my eyes swivels around the royal table, I see a lot of wasted food. They are served so much food than they can ever finish. They all eat so much, yet they barely reach half of the contents on the dinner.
This makes me think of my new friend, the prison girl. She complained of starvation. I discretely tiptoe my self out of the party.
"Hey, I didn't forget you guys. You also have to partake in my birthday party." I pause in front of the weary guards, with sleep filled in their eyes. Anyway, I don't come empty-handed. I came along with plenty of wine, chicken, and food.
"This is so kind of you, my princess!" they heavily smile. With sleep clearing away from their heavy eyelids. "Don't mention. Can I see the prisoner?. I promise I won't stay long."
The guards look at each other, they can't refuse such a favour especially after my kind gesture towards them. For someone who is hardly amongst the living, I'm not bad at negotiating. More to this I'm the Princess.
"Don't waste time." they open the gate. "Thank you." I happily move in with a lighted stick. Finally, I'm about to do something that actually pleases me.
It's so dark that the fire I have can barely illuminate the room. "Hey, I'm back as I promised and I have something for you." I unleash the tissue pack from under my big gown, and passes it to her through the bars of her cell.
Instantly, she seizes my hand, with her filthy hands. She groans like a hungry animal and this is damn creepy "Are you crazy?. Release my hands." I pull it off, I slightly stumble on the ground. "Now my gown is stained." I cry.
While, she immediately opens the rapen to see, well-roasted chicken with some bread. This kind of roasted chicken that she haven't seen for quite a while now.
"Thank you." she whispers, like an old witch in a cage.
"Never do what you did again." no matter how much I try, I can't be mad at her after all I understand her. "Enjoy my little gift, because no one knows what can happen." I can lay and never get up again.
"Unfortunately, I know what will happen to me." she whispers. "How do you?" this intrigues me.
"Can't you see where I am?. Your father will kill me soon." she says. This renders me speechless. "You can't be too sure, he can always change his mind." I try to console her but it instead makes her laugh.
"I keep asking myself wuss, if this is my fate, which I'm ready to accept or if this is a result of all the wrong decision which were made for me. I never planned to get married so young, talkless to such a family. Everything was decided for me, so am I going to pay for this as well?" she murmurs.
I won't lie, I didn't hear nor understand about half of what she said, but it's clear that she's lamenting and it's normal, life can be very hard at times. "I will see what I can do to prevent this?" I say as if I have the power to.
"You can't do anything, you don't decide. Perhaps at that time you will be on the path to death or hell or however you call it. I better rely on a rat than you." she mock.
This was seriously offensive. "I won't stay here and take your insult." I pick up my lighted stick to leave.
"Don't leave. I didn't mean to offend you. Though the fact remains that there is nothing you can do. Glimpsing at your dad's anger, I don't think he will listen to a little girl, like you."
"Allow that to me, just make sure to remain alive. I have to leave now. Take care of yourself." with this said I disappear into the dark.
I move back to the hall. "Where were you Elgin, I have been searching for you, you got me worried. Why aren't you dancing with the others." Dad asks. I quietly take a seat by him.
"Oh, you know I don't have very much energy to waste as all of you?!" I point around. "I understand, I won't insist." he gives me a gentle squeeze on the shoulder.
I take a deep breath gathering all the courage I have to ask "Dad, will you kill the princess?". My question baffles him rendering him speechless for a while.
"Which princess?" he wonders aloud in shock before he recalls "The one in the cell," I answer.

• • • • Adam's POV • • • •
After a whole day of walking, it becomes very dark and we can't see nothing anymore.
"We will camp here tonight and tomorrow very early at the first cockcrow we will hit the road." the king announces, though he wishes we could walk in the darkness.
Fires are on to keep us warm during the night. While they are sleeping Dad, Edmonton and I talk about strategy for the attack. Then we later fall asleep.
The King got us all up at the cock's first crow. Unfortunately, for the king, he couldn't sleep all night, memories of the past came rushing into his mind. He kept seeing his beautiful wife who died because of William's selfishness. What also piss him is that she was buried in his kingdom. This makes him furious and eager to kill Williamson.
Anyway, I have no idea of all his dark memories. "Isn't it too early." I whimper as he wakes me up. The sky is still dark. "Don't be silly, we have a long day ahead," he yells and I immediately get up.
